Late today as Lori had Pilates and her neck PT and I had about 10 inches of snow to shovel. Just finished up my second round of shoveling. Our workout was good, and Lori’s PT seems to be helping her. The roads were kind of dicey at 6:30 this morning but are just snowy and slushy now. I need to shower and run up valley to get Lori’s flowers for Valentine’s Day. Then we’ll hunker down, make some chili, and maybe go to the new Bob Dylan movie tonight, which is down the street.
Colorado Dems are at it again passing the most sweeping anti-Second Amendment bill in the Country. Now they want us to take a 4-hour class. Like that’s going to stop someone who wants to shoot up some place. Montana or Idaho is looking more likely every day. Hasn’t been signed into law yet, but with our Dem Gov and Dem control of the legislature, I’m sure it will. Good news is most of these people that vote for it, will be out of a job in a few years as people are fed up, nationally and locally. So sad to see what Colorado has become.
Time to go, need to head up valley. Have a great Valentine’s Day and God Bless.
Sometimes you just have to laugh. It’s hard to believe just how much stupidity and incompetence surrounds us. I don’t know if it’s a lack of education, too much indoctrination, or just that most people out there, are not that smart. It seems everywhere you go; you find it. Lori and I talk every morning about somebody that did something stupid the day before. And it’s not just meaningless things. Yesterday, one of Lori’s clinics managers, sent out an email showing she doesn’t even know what Dr. B does and sent it clinic wide. You’ve heard of the phrase, loud and wrong, we’ll this could not have been any louder, or more wrong. Lori sent her a private email politely correcting her, and the woman tried to sluff it off saying it was a typo, even though the same mistake was listed over a dozen times. Not that big of a deal, as it was an inter-office communication, but everyone that works there, now thinks this lady is clueless. I could go on with other examples, but you get the point. I told Lori, maybe we’re just uber smart!
Ty finished season 3 of Yellowstone last night. He and Madi are loving it. Hard to believe they hadn’t seen it, although we were talking with some other people who hadn’t seen it at all.
We’re working out this morning at 7. Need to be out the door at 6:30. February is a tough month money wise with property taxes and Bronco Season tickets all due. It’s always something. Valentines’ Day tomorrow. We might go see the new Led Zepplin or Bob Dylan movie. Both are supposed to be fantastic.
Turns out the judge who stopped the administration from stopping the govt. from fraudulent spending, donated $700K to Obama and was rewarded with a lifetime appointment. We’ll see how that works out. All these stall tactics are just that. In the end, it’ll all work out. Hard to believe the Dems are not protesting the billions of dollars of OUR money that was wasted and stolen, but rather the process of finding it. They’re running scared as so many of them benefited from the fraud in kickbacks. Things are going to get crazy, mark my words.
That’s it, 6am now, time to get moving. Have a great Thursday and God Bless.
Running late today as I was out shoveling at 6am and then was out the door to the hospital to have blood work done at 8:30. I went to the cardiologist yesterday and as I said, I’m all good and my blood work is too. Good for another couple years!
Lori is working in Vail today and Ty is at Hovey. I stopped to see him for breakfast on the way home from the hospital.
Dems are claiming that Musk and Trump finding tons of fraud and waste are a constitutional crisis. Give me a break. Odds have it, everyone protesting has been on the take or benefited from the fraud somehow. No worries, the truth will come out, just a matter of time. Dems are their own worst enemy. If they keep this crap up, they’ll lose even worse next time.
That’s it, time to head out to the gym. Have a great Wednesday, God Bless.
There’s been about six shootings in Denver in the last 48 hours or so. At least one was road rage on the highway too. You have to be careful in the city these days. Always wanted to bulletproof my windows. Might be time.
Snow and cold weather on the way. Looks like it’s snowing in Denver but it’s all clear up here. The cold weather and snow is supposed to come in tonight, at least down in Denver.
Yesterday I had my cardiology appointment. I hadn’t been in 3 years or so, but I’m good to go. My EKG and whatever else they look for show zero signs of any type of cardio issues at all. I always have all my bloodwork run too, so I don’t have to go to another doc, so I’ll go get that done tomorrow. Dr. Greenberg is the best and the only guy to see up here for cardio. Lori uses him all the time for clearances for patients for surgery.
Lori works in Edwards today and Vail tomorrow. Luckily with the incoming snow, she’s in Frisco next week. I bought Ty some groceries yesterday to take to Madi’s. Ty’s all ready to move to Montana and said he’d go work on a ranch right away. Madi though, wants to move to L.A. Ty said no way to L.A., so we’ll see how that turns out. Glad he’s a no on L.A. It’s a shit hole these days.
Activist judges are trying to slow down Trump’s agenda, but in the end, that’s all they can do. Dems are on the run and have no message the people want to hear. Impeach and resist are so 2016. The Dems are now the party of tired old white men and women, too funny. Can’t wait for the truth to come out as they’ve been cheating and stealing for years. Release that Epstein list while you’re at it too! Let’s see them explain their way out of that one.
6:30 now, time to get moving. Make it a great day and God Bless.
Great game, better party. The guys started showing up around 3. Soon we had a house full. Lori’s food was amazing as usual, and we all had fun. We also had a house full of kids which was a switch, but fun. I think all of America wanted the Eagles to win, except the State of Kansas. In the end, most of America was happy. Ty came home yesterday for the game and stayed here last night. He should go get his new driver’s license today, we’ll see.
The halftime show was horrible. I think Ty and Ethan, our 15-year-old neighbor liked it, but the rest of us were disappointed.
Harley was a pill yesterday with non-stop barking. Lori gave her some meds before everyone showed up and they had a reverse effect. Commercials had a lot of AI in them. I thought the best one was the one with Harrison Ford for Jeep. If you didn’t catch it, go back and find it.
Lori has her new nurse starting today and I have a doctor appointment this morning. I have a lot to do around the house later today.
Years ago, we’d be heading out to Arizona about now driving Mom and Dad down for their 3-month vacation. Miss those days. I can clearly see the house down there and remember the feeling of being in Arizona in February. It sure was nice.
Looks like we have some weather coming in over the next few days. Doesn’t look like much more than a few inches over the week, but after that, next week looks like it’ll be in the 50’s.
Now the 2025 NFL off season begins. Tommy and I like this time of year as between free agency and the draft, we get new guys. Oh, speaking of halftime shows, James and the guys might play the Super Bowl next year, we’ll see. If so, I told him he has to take us all.
A little over 9 hours until kickoff! People will start showing up around 3. The game is usually anticlimactic, but the commercials and hanging with friends are fun. Nice outside right now but they say snow is coming in the next few days. I don’t think we’ll see any roll in today.
Lori is making her famous cheesecake now. Yesterday she finished making her enchilada’s, tortillas soup, homemade ice cream, (butter brickle, and yes, she makes the butter brickle from scratch!) chocolate cupcakes, and other assorted apps and stuff.
Davy took his two youngest skiing for a few hours and then stopped at a father daughter Valentines event on the way home. Lori made the kids hot dogs and mac and cheese, while Davy and I had tortilla soup. Abby and their 15-year-old, Violet, are in Denver at a dance competition but will be home today. Wes and River played with Harley and hung out for an hour or so. Harley is all bark when people show up at the front door but then is as sweet as any dog you’ve ever met.
I need to run up to Hovey to pick a couple dozen cookies Molly made for the game. She made my favorites, coconut, pecan and oatmeal and one that’s like a snickerdoodle and molasses cookie. I’ll need have some serious self-control today!
Hope the Eagles win. No one I know, except Mark, who went to the game, likes the Chiefs. He’s from Kansas City though, so that’s understandable. Ty is off today and coming down this morning. He managed to get in a few hours on the mountain yesterday as he worked in the morning and then was off until 3, as he worked an art show at the restaurant last night.
That’s it, time to get moving. We’ll have about 20 friends here in a little under 7 hours. I think this is our 4th Super Bowl party in a row. Lori does too good of a job, so the party is always at our place!
Here’s Wes, his dad forgot his belt so River tied a ribbon around his pants and he got his face painted at the Valentines Day party. He’s a Minecraft dinosaur! He’s too funny and said to Lori when she commented on it, “how do you know about Minecraft”! Check out his Def Leppard t-shirt!
River with Harley, she’s in 5th grade. Lori loves having little kids around. It’s like we’re now the old people in the neighborhood. When our kids were young, it was Roger and Karen, Mrs. Rossi and the O’Connell’s on our street, too funny. Take care, be well, stay safe and God Bless.
Guess there’s a foot of snow in Eagle Vail but only a couple inches here at the house. Need to get out there and shovel soon. Lots to do today. We need to clean the house, Lori will be cooking away, and we have a few errands to run as well. She made two of the three pans of enchiladas last night. Think she’s making 75 in total. She always makes cheese, chicken and beef. Davy dropped off probably 20 pounds of steak burger from their ranch last night. It’s the best burger you’ve ever had!
Looks like blue sky outside now at 7:15am. Lori wants to go to the gym, so I’d better get shoveling. Pretty morning outside.
The President has the Dems looking like 3-year-olds throwing tantrums at Walmart kicking and screaming on the floor in 80-year-old bodies. Trump winning and bringing common sense back to America shows just how fucked up the Country was under their leadership. Think about it, we’ve audited 1% of the govt. and found over $100 billion in waste! To give you an idea how much that is, it takes from the time you’re born until you’re 27 years old for your heart to beat 1 billion times! Good God, keep it up!
Time to get outside and get my shovel on! Take care and God Bless.
Looks like the front range, which is near Denver where Tommy lives, will get 4 to 8 inches of snow in the next few days. North of us in Steamboat is getting 6 to 10, but with a little luck, we’re going to miss it. No big deal as it is February after all.
Yesterday after working around the house, I headed out to cigar night. We had fun as usual, and I was home around 7pm. Lori left around 6 for her girl’s thing at Gorsuch in Vail. She saw lots of ladies she hadn’t seen in a while. It’s a different crowd than she normally runs with. She knew most people as it’s a small town and a lot of the girls were moms of kids the boys went to high school with. They had a DJ, it was catered and a bartender. I think there were around 40 ladies who showed up. Good for them.
We’re working out at 7 this morning and then Lori has another PT appointment at 8 on her traps and neck. I’ll probably run over and have breakfast with Ty unless I decide to work out for 2 hours. We’ll see how I feel after the first hour. It’s chest day meaning heavy weights and bench press which takes a lot out of you.
2 days until the Super Bowl. Mark ended up getting a ticket, so he flies out today. Good for him and good for us, as now we won’t have any Chiefs fans here! James and Addy made it back from his sisters in Kansas last night, so they’ll be here along with the rest of our group. Lori is making her famous enchiladas, tamales, and maybe tortilla soup, we’ll see.
Today I’ll clean the house. We thought the cleaners were coming yesterday so we cleaned so they could clean, but they got their weeks mixed up. No problem, I’ll knock it out and save the $200. A week from today is Valentines Day. Think we’re going to go to a movie.
That’s it, time to go, 5:30am now. Have a great Friday, God Bless.
Alright, for the third day in a row, Lori and I are both driving. She’s in Frisco today and I have a 10am in Denver and then am meeting Shultz at 11. Lots going on.
Windy last night. Warm up here, like 60, but Denver was cold when we arrived at 9 in the morning, like 30 degrees. After our derm appointments, we went to St Lukes in downtown Denver to see Lori’s PA from when she worked at Steadman. Eric was thrilled to see us. I can imagine after fighting cancer for two years, not a lot of people are still visiting him. He looked a lot better than I thought he would. I was expecting him to be skinny and gaunt with not much hair, but he had a full head of curly hair (he said chemo makes it curly) and he looked pretty good. He did have that ashy colored skin which people get from chemo. I told him to hang in there and that he’s going to beat this. My logic is that if he’s still here after two years, and having that shit all through his body, he should kick it. It’s like when someone tells you to go to hell, and you’ve already been there. Continued prayers for him.
Ty’s doing well. I’ll stop and see him on the way back up the hill. Almost 6am, guess I’ll get going. Have a great Wednesday and be well, stay safe and God Bless.
Our trip to Denver was fine, and pretty quick. We made it home by 2. Lori looks fabulous of course with her new beach blonde hair and I managed to get a few errands done. Today we’ll be in town by 9 for dermatologist appointments and then afterwards, we’re stopping at a hospital to see Eric Bean, one of Lori’s PA’s when she was at Steadman, who is back in with cancer. No one thought he’d make it this long and he did go into remission, but sadly it’s back, which it tends to do.
At 4 Lori has another PT appointment on her neck and traps and I’ll workout while she’s getting this done. Ty’s working away at work, and Jag too at school.
When we made it home in the afternoon, Lori spotted a coyote in the backyard. I would have shot it but was busy.
We’re getting ready for our Super Bowl party on Sunday. Should be fun. James went to see his sister in Wichita a few days early, so he’d be back in time.
Denver is a shit show with migrants still on the streets, but not as many. A bunch of the bad ones have been arrested and are probably back in their own country by now. The Dems are lost. They have no clue on how to react and are bumbling their way through each day. It seems they’re a few days or a week behind every move President Trump makes. Their approval rating is at an all-time low while the Republicans is at an all-time high. Amazing how quick things can change when there are adults in charge. Hope it keeps on keeping on.
