The boys played together most of the day. \u00c2\u00a0Sometimes well…sometimes not so well. \u00c2\u00a0They had all sorts of toy swords out in the backyard. \u00c2\u00a0The boys moved lawn furniture and Mojo’s dog house around to make one base camp and used the play structure for the other. \u00c2\u00a0That was the backyard…in the front yard they had the wiggly sprinkler attached to the hose and turned it on full force…the laughter was intoxicating and the tears were minimal.<\/p>\n
We found a child sitter at the very last possible moment. \u00c2\u00a0A friend of mine has a daughter that drives..I thought she was only 12 or 13…time does really fly by. Anyway, I was happily surprised that Madeline was available to watch the kids.<\/p>\n
The dinner was a success. \u00c2\u00a0Everyone raved about the food. \u00c2\u00a0We had a really fun table..Carl, Libby, Libbys’ 89 year old mom, Patty, \u00c2\u00a0Allen and Steph, Doug and I and Lorenzo would stop by every so often, as he was working the room. \u00c2\u00a0The wines were of course fabulous(I did not partake). \u00c2\u00a0I had shrimp and scallops with creamy polenta and the Mr had braised short ribs with horseradish mashed potatoes. \u00c2\u00a0Yummy.<\/p>\n
The Silent Auction did well…everything sold! \u00c2\u00a0All in all we probably raised 3to5 thousand dollars for the Sherrif’s Employee Assistance Fund. \u00c2\u00a0Not bad for our first try!<\/p>\n
Today is another busy day. \u00c2\u00a0Tonight is as well. \u00c2\u00a0We have the WFCO Womens Foundation of Colorado)committee dinner and wine tasting tonight.<\/p>\n
I have to run…time to get breakfast for muchkins ready.<\/p>\n
