Wow! I had such a special day! \u00c2\u00a0Auntie K(Kristin) and I left for the Spa at 8:30. \u00c2\u00a0Woodhouse is on the Historic Homes of Denver list. \u00c2\u00a0The home has 17 foot ceilings, 8inch baseboards, crown molding and gorgeous hardwoods throughout.\u00c2\u00a0\"woodhouse-spa2\"<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Kristin \u00c2\u00a0and I were greeted in the parlor and escorted to the changing room and instructed to make our way to the relaxation room before our services began. \u00c2\u00a0We both started off with Anti-aging facials(every face should have one)when we were finished with that treatment we went downstairs for manicures and pedicures.<\/p>\n

We talked non-stop about all the fun we had as kids\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.climbing up to the roof of Woodlake School (our elementary school)on weekends and running all around. \u00c2\u00a0We would end up over the top of the Kindergarten playground and jump of the roof into the sandbox(my idea). \u00c2\u00a0It was a 4ft x 6ft sandbox and the drop was about 15ft. \u00c2\u00a0Kristin said she was always thinking, “This is a bad idea!”, but she would jump right after me anyway. \u00c2\u00a0We spent our afternoons in the tops of the Mulberry trees in my front yard and then climb on to my roof.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0We would scale our way up the shake shingle to the very top and then I would race walk\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6sometimes run from one end to the other\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6Kristin took a bit more slowly and cautiously, always thinking this may not be the best idea, but okay. \u00c2\u00a0I’m sure my Dad was not thrilled that we were trampling across the shingles. \u00c2\u00a0We did play on the ground once in a while, but usually in the tops of trees.<\/p>\n

The Mr. had arranged for special treats throughout our spa day\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6plus much, much more! \u00c2\u00a0He is the best hubby, so thoughtful and genuine\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6he even brought home new jeans for Kristin and me to try on when we got home from the spa.<\/p>\n

While our morning and afternoon was spent at the Spa the youngest was\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6at a playdate and the oldest a baseball game. The oldest made it on base 3 times, scored 3 times and got hit in the arm with a ball 1 time. \u00c2\u00a0The ball had so much velocity that on the bump and bruise you can actually see the stitching from the baseball on the welt. Poor dude.<\/p>\n

The oldest used the iPad to instant message Auntie Serena. \u00c2\u00a0They had quite the conversation\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6the texting continued throughout the afternoon and evening. The oldest even sent pictures of my birthday card and himself in a very sophisticated pose.<\/p>\n

We had dinner at a new place in Evergreen, The Hideaway. \u00c2\u00a0Our friend Rollie made the reservations and the food was fantastic! \u00c2\u00a0The kids were great\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6texting us, Kristin, Rollie and I along with Auntie Serena most of the night. \u00c2\u00a0The oldest took a picture of himself in his dad’s sport coat and once again asked Auntie Serena, Do I look sophisticated now?” \u00c2\u00a0Uncle Matt said he needed to get it fitted. \u00c2\u00a0Funny.<\/p>\n

Anyway we got home around 10p.m. the kids were still texting Auntie Serena\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6they used up 50% of my data last night\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6to funny\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6Kristin and I stayed up talking and watching SNL(She had a commercial that aired)I actually fell asleep on the couch. \u00c2\u00a0I woke up at 12:23 and headed to bed.<\/p>\n

It was a really wonderful day, and today we get to have family over and cake. Yummy!<\/p>\n

Thank you all for the gifts, cards and birthday wishes. \u00c2\u00a0I had a very special day.<\/p>\n
