The day flew by, I ran to our friends house where the dinner was last night to drop off the gifts, then it was back home to get the kids, then back across town on another errand. Finally I was home by 2 or so. Meanwhile the misses was trying to rest and the boys were playing, what’s new.<\/p>\n
We worked and hung out the rest of the day and then threw together some leftovers for dinner. Spaghetti for me, ramen for the boys and I’m not sure what Lori had.<\/p>\n
We spent some time trying to figure out what the next few months will entail and how we’re going to get through them. Lots of things happening. We are trying to prepare the best we can for winter, kind of like they did decades ago, get our food stocks up, (buy in bulk) somehow insulate the house, make sure the kids have snow boots and gear that fits, pay the taxes and bills, then there’s Christmas, and so on.<\/p>\n
Lots has changed since I was a kid and I’m sure even more so for those of you that are older than I. You see, we are simply not the same country that we used to be.\u00c2\u00a0 Americans are proud, selfish, greedy, arrogant, ungrateful, treacherous and completely addicted to convenience, entertainment and pleasure.\u00c2\u00a0 Our country is literally falling apart all around us, but most Americans are so plugged into entertainment that they can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even be bothered to notice what is happening. Am I off base here? I don’t think so.<\/p>\n
Perhaps some of you don’t want to hear this or don’t believe it. I sincerely hope it’s the former rather than the latter as you’d have to be really isolated (trying to be politically correct here) not to believe life as we knew it, has certainly changed.<\/p>\n
So, I’m going to do you all a favor now and stop trying to convince you of what I or we think is coming. If you don’t get it by now, you probably don’t want to hear it which is natural, (nobody likes to hear about bad things) so I’ll let it go. So moving forward I’ll try to refrain from political posts and the such unless I really think there is an imminent threat to your safety. I’ll try to focus on the kids and happy things as there’s enough bad stuff in the papers and on the news. But in closing, know it’s coming, things have changed, they will change even more, and not for the better. It’s not as bad if you just face it head on like any problem or issue, just cowboy up and tackle it head on! I post all this stuff as we’re worried for those we care about who we feel are not aware of how things are going to change in the future. But alas, I can’t make you believe it if you don’t want to so in closing, check this out before we go,<\/p>\n
