A Year of Change

Robi just texted reminding me to do the blog. I was up early and went to the gym and now we have our electrician here. James’s wife, Francesca, is on the way over to visit with Lori as she was at Costco. Jag has a big accounting mid-term today and I have a bunch of work to do for a conference call tomorrow.

Yesterday was a blur filled with work and errands. Think Saturday I’m going with Ty to Denver to get his oil changed. Think Jag will meet us for breakfast. We’ll call Tom too. Ty’s finally getting a haircut tonight as it’s long! Time to go, make it a great day, God Bless.

57 degrees in Denver yesterday, almost Spring like. 42 up here when I made it home. Had a great lunch with my longtime friend and business associate. We’re on a good track to get things back to where they were. Today I’m working around here while Lori is in Frisco. Tomorrow I need to run down to see Jag to pick up a suit for Ty to wear this weekend. Weather is supposed to hold.

The Big Game is coming up soon, should be fun. Think I’ll try to take him to lunch. Not sure if the mask thing is over in Boulder or not. It is just about everywhere else. Most democratic States have rescinded the mandate, but good old Biden is still pushing it. Same with Trudeau in Canada. He’s in big trouble as they might overthrow the government up there. The police arrested a 78-year-old great grandfather the other day for honking his horn and giving a thumbs up to the trucker protest. Wow. The elites are losing their grip on power and they’re freaking out. The end is near.

Off to Denver this morning for lunch at a French restaurant in Cherry Creek with the head of one of my distributors. Should be done by 2 and home by 4. Lori is working in Vail and Ty will be off to school.

I saw my PT girl yesterday and my inner ear crystals are all back in place as she couldn’t find any position that made me dizzy. She also worked on my neck which miraculously gave me a ton of relief. She told me I could go back to working out so to the gym I went. After working out I stopped to see Dixie who told me her mom was coming home from vacation in Europe. She seems to be slipping a bit more each day.

Been getting a lot of tax forms these days. It’s beyond ridiculous that Mom and Dad’s estate isn’t finalized yet. Of course, tax season will further strain the over worked, understaffed IRS. Something has to give as the fact that we’re still waiting almost 5 years is a joke. The Country needs term limits and a flat tax but then the crooks in Congress wouldn’t be able to get rich. What a mess.

Jag is doing well. Think he might come up the weekend after next. He’s looking for a new roommate for next year and would prefer to live alone but that’s too expensive. Time to get moving. The Super Bowl is coming up! Can’t wait, God Bless.

Should be almost 40 today and in the 50’s in Denver. Nice. Lori is headed down to Libby’s and I’m staying home. James, Marty and I hung out for a few hours yesterday afternoon watching hunting shows and the Pro Bowl. Bobby, James’s PT guy that goes on tour with him is flying in for the next few days, so we’re all going to go for a burger tomorrow night. Bobby lives in Atlanta and comes up once a year or so.

Ty and his buddy made a quick trip to Nordstrom yesterday but didn’t find anything. We need to get busy on his outfit for Winter Formal this weekend. Jag has a couple big tests this week.

Biden wants war or anything to distract the public from his dismal poll numbers. Let’s hope others in the World are smarter than him. Time to go, have a great week, God Bless.

This morning Ty and his buddies want to run down to Denver to get suits for Winter Formal next weekend. Of course we did get a dusting of snow which was unexpected last night. It’s literally just enough to cover the driveway and nothing more. We’ll see if they go or not.

Lots of violence out there these days. It seems we hear about a random shooting on some road or someplace almost every day. People are fed up. Most of this is in cities where district attorneys are no longer prosecuting certain crimes that were once felonies. Dad is rolling over in his grave. Other shootings are suicides from people’s lives falling apart due to the the lockdowns which have now proved to have been 99.8% ineffective. So let’s see, the government has been wrong about lockdowns, masks, vaccines and just about everything else associated with covid in the past two years. And they wonder why people are pushing back. Trust me, they’re just as wrong about everything else. Russia was all we heard when Trump was President and now we have Nancy Pelosi telling our Olympic athletes to suck it up and ignore the human rights abuses in China and just keep your mouth shut and compete. Wonder if this is due to all the millions China has given the Biden family. WOW.

As you can see, the World is pretty fucked up right now. Hope we get it together but sadly I think it’ll get worse before it gets better. Get ready! Again, food, gas, and are other essentials are a must to get right now. Keep your eyes open and be safe and God Bless.

Not a good night. I was supposed to not sleep on my right said and this made it difficult to get good sleep. In the morning I went for PT and Shayna was amazing. When working out and leaning back with heavy weights, I would get dizzy for a few seconds. Turns out those little crystals in my inner ear were not where they were supposed to be. You wear goggles hooked up to a computer and then she has you lean back from side to side and Shayna can then see your eyes jump telling her what she needs to fix. Then after she manipulates or turns your neck and head, she gets them back where they’re supposed to be. It was amazing how quickly she fixed the issue. She did tell me not to sleep on my right-side last night which is why the bad night’s sleep. You can dislodge these crystals in a bunch of ways. Mine was from probably straining while working out. Oh well, all good now.

This morning Lori is getting her hair done in Glenwood. Think I’ll go with her and hit the pet food store and grocery store while she’s getting pretty. I was going to the range yesterday, but Shayna suggested I take it easy for the day to let things settle. Ty was out with friends and came home a bit after midnight.

The snow is still on the ground but melting a little bit each day. We need a nice warm week. I hit Costco yesterday and Lori was busy working away. That’s it. Time to go. Enjoy the day and God Bless.

This morning, in about an hour, I have PT on my neck. It’s been sore for a few weeks from working out. Lori has lunch today with a friend and Ty has school. Last night James and I hung out inside in his new cigar room that he just had finished upstairs in his house. Great timing with the cold temperatures we’ve had.

I had a dentist appointment yesterday which was the first time I could get in since October 2020. They’re down to two hygienists from four so they’ve been way backed up.

I’d like to get one of the storage units cleaned out this weekend or at least move stuff from one to the other. They just raised prices again. Ty was making a haircut appointment for tomorrow with his barber who happens to work out of the 4 Seasons Hotel. Prices for a men’s haircut jumped from $55 to $110! WTF?

Looks like Denver received much more snow than we did a couple days ago. Our roads are dry and were that way all week. Supposed to be warmer for the next 4 or 5 days, finally.

Today we have more work, more school, more life. Remember, your worst day living is better than your best day dead, ha. Might go to Denver today unless it looks too crappy down there. Lori has a derm appointment but we’re checking the roads in town.

Cold outside they say. 10 above or 10 below is pretty much the same when you live in it. Looking forward to Spring. Winter is fine but normally the snow melts between storms, but not this year.

What a cold start to the year. Annette is lucky she hasn’t come to visit as she does not like the cold weather! Think I’ll drive Lori today as the roads are a bit dicey. Our appraisal went well. Turns out we knew a lot of people in common. Not that that will affect anything, but it can’t hurt.

Everything looks cold and closed in Denver up to Ft. Collins. Hope pipes don’t burst from the temperatures. Think I’ll hit the gym after I drop Lori. I’d like to start cleaning the garage today. We’ll see how the day goes.

Time to get moving. Biden is still pushing for war and more covid restrictions. Even though cases and positive test rates are dropping fast, they keep pushing. Then the White House press secretary said the crime wave is all fake. Instantly the head of the Fraternal Order of Police pushed back. Point here is, the people in power lie, constantly. They think nothing of it and justify it as part of the greater good for you! No longer can we believe our own government. If you think about it, we haven’t been able to trust them for years now. So sad. Pray for change.

Here we go, February is here. Soon it’ll be March and hopefully warmer temperatures.

I was in Denver and back by noon. I stopped to see Tom for a few minutes before heading to the car dealer. We had our property taxes arrive in the mail yesterday. Get ready for this, they tripled! Now I understand that property values have gone up, but ours didn’t double, much less triple? WTF? Not much you can do about it. I expected it to double but this is ridiculous. I shouldn’t be surprised as it’s the new normal. These days, with everything, you get less, and it costs more. What I mean here is it’s not like they’ve fixed all the streets or upgraded schools. Oh wait, wasn’t the trillion-dollar infrastructure package the Dems passed supposed to fix the roads? Hmm. What a shit show. We have to vote these clowns out of office in November.

Marty and Melanie want us to go to Hawaii in April and we’d love to go but we’re not getting boosters to go. Just not worth it.

We have our appraisal today at 1. Then we should be just about done with our refinance. It’s never done until it’s done though. Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if it somehow falls apart. Cross your fingers.

We had a humidifier installed yesterday as it’s only 14% humidity in the house which is really low. As soon as Jeff, the electrician, comes to hook it up, we’ll be good to go. Should help a bunch.

Time to get moving. Hope all’s well. Looks like they’re lifting the mask mandate in Denver this week. But don’t worry, the Dems and Biden will be pushing things to control us long after the virus is gone. They’re already doing it. Some places, like Canada for one, are pushing more restrictions while the numbers of cases are dropping dramitacally. They’re desperate to hold on to control and power.
