Snow

Well it did snow but nothing like it did on the front range. We probably have 4 or 5 inches up here at most but the wind has been blowing hard. This causes drifts so you have places that are 12 inches deep. It looks like Denver and north of town had the most. Anyhow it’s November 26th so we’re supposed to have snow, right?

Yesterday I was on the highway and a Volkswagen passed me and kicked up a rock that broke the windshield on the Range Rover. What a bummer. The crack quickly spread to about 12 inches and I’m now scheduled to get it replaced tomorrow morning in Denver. What a waste of time.

Jag went with Lexi and her parents to see the movie Ford Ferrari last night which is supposedly really good. Ty was here at home with us after hanging out with Sonny and some friends for most of the afternoon.

Jag’s hand should heal up fine according to Randy, (Dr. Viola) who saw him yesterday. He just needs to tape it to play basketball and if it’s hurting from playing, he should shut it down meaning stop playing for the day. Randy thinks over the next few weeks it will gradually get better and hurt less. Shouldn’t have messed with the old man, me!

I had a headache most of the night due to working out and having the window shut. Finally I opened it around 4am only to have to get up and shut it and clean all the snow off the inside of the window and screen an hour later. I’ve taken the dogs out once but need to take them again now that they’ve had breakfast. Can’t wait for the new house where they have their own indoor outdoor dog run.

So that’s it, time to get moving, again. Tom keeps asking for our Christmas lists, maybe we can get that done today. The news just said I-70 is closed in both directions right where we get on the highway to go to Vail due to a fatal accident. It’s surreal how quickly ones life can change in the blink of an eye. Cherish life and be careful! God Bless.

Here it comes!

They say a big storm is supposed to hit tonight. We could get up to a foot here and the same in Denver. In fact, same with the whole Country. Then another storm is supposed to hit Wednesday with lots of airport delays and road closures. Again though, we’ll have to wait and see. This time though, with so many saying it’s so, you’d better prepare by at least getting your Thanksgiving shopping done today if you haven’t already done so.

Lori and Jag made it home by 9:45 while Ty beat them by 5 minutes. Ty took off mid-afternoon to go hang out with friends. Looks like he and Zoe are “dating” again. We like her a lot. The in Denver show was good but long. Both boys are off all week and Lori is taking Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. We are planning on going to the design center on Wednesday but will have to wait and see how much snow Snowmageddon brings, ha.

This is the last week of December, wow. A week from today is December 2nd and then we’re off. Hold on to your hats! God Bless.

A mini break

Today Lori and Jag are supposed to go down for the Colorado People’s Choice Awards but Jag texted at 5:30 am saying he couldn’t sleep and didn’t feel well. Knowing this we’ll probably not go. Anthony the designer told us it’s ok if he missed this one but Lori will need to call him.

Ty was out until 10 and Jag came home soon after. Lori went to bed early and we’re going to try to get her a massage today for her neck. We did go down to Denver to look at some more tile and I had a haircut so I don’t have to go on Tuesday.

Watching the news it looks like we might be spared from tomorrow nights snow. Seems to be a Denver and front range event. That’d be good for the builders. I think we’ll run down today and see how much snow is at the house.

It’s a short week for everyone but I have a lot of work to do as the month ends Saturday. We did receive our final version of the contract between us and a German company called RM which is short for Rotkaeppchen Mumm which is the largest sparkling wine company in the World. We’re entering a joint venture we’ve been working on for about a year that gives them an option to buy us for a minimum of $12 Million in 36 months or before. There’s lots of details but it could be a good thing. Upon signing we’ll get a large cash infusion and double or triple our size within a matter of months. We’ll see where it goes.

Time to get moving, have a good last Sunday of November, GB.

Blue sky

It’s nice and clear outside which is nice after a gloomy day yesterday. I think we’re getting a little snow tomorrow night or Monday night. Not sure. Jag and Lori made it home around 7 as he needed an x-ray and MRI on his wrist. We were all holding our breath that he didn’t have a fracture. Thankfully around 9 pm Dr. Viola called and said it just looks like a contusion and bad bruise and he should be ok and to just tape it up when he’s playing basketball. He’s dunking the ball a lot so maybe this has something to do with it or it could be from a week or so ago when we were goofing around and he hit me in the shoulder and hurt his hand due to my rock hard bicep, ha. I still have a bruise and we didn’t think anything of it at the time but his wrist had been bugging him on and off since then. The ATC (athletic trainer) sent him over yesterday afternoon from practice. Anyhow we’re all glad he’s ok.

Ty, Will and Sonny and Zoe, Talon and Chole went to see the movie Frozen 2. Sonny spent the night and they made it home a bit after 10. Lori is still sleeping as is everyone else. I ate so much yesterday I don’t need to eat until Monday. I thought I was getting sick like with the flu so I ate and drank a bunch to try to stave it off. False alarm as I feel fine today but I’m stuffed. Feels like yesterday was Thanksgiving.

The boys are off all week and Lori has some days off too. Not sure which days she’s off. We need to go to the ski locker and get Ty’s snowboard and get his bindings switched over to his new one. Maybe we’ll get that done today. Jag also needs some new basketball shoes from Denver so maybe after the gym we’ll make a trip down, we’ll know more in a couple hours. Time to get the dogs up the hill and Lori moving so we can go to the gym. Have a great day, it’ll be December soon, like a week from tomorrow. That’s really hard to believe as Fall this year came and went so fast. Don’t blink! God Bless.

Snow

We have snow, nothing big but snow. Maybe 2 or 3 inches as of now and I think it’ll be over by noon. Of course we have a busy weekend and I think more snow on Sunday.

Yesterday the boys had basketball until 6 pm. I picked Lori up around 5:15. Jag has nothing going on until noon so I’ll take Ty this morning. I also need to run to the appliance store today to look at a microwave. That’s it as I have a headache too so time to go, GB.

Not much, yet

It snowed a bit but there’s nothing on the driveway. The way it was coming down for a few minutes yesterday you would have thought we’d have feet. But no, not yet at least. They say more is coming tonight but we’ll see. Weathermen have a 50/50 chance and half the time they’re wrong, ha.

I’m starting to fill up my schedule for the rest of the year. I could travel a bunch but am just going to Seattle and San Francisco on December 9th and 10th, coming home the afternoon of the 11th. Then I should be done for the year. The first week of January I’ll be back at it with Portland and Illinois and probably Italy in the mix.

Lori has had a bad headache. The boys have basketball at 6 tonight I think and then tomorrow is optional. The house is looking good. We met the cabinet maker and went through the kitchen and all the bathrooms. They finished the roof yesterday just in time before the snow. Time to get moving as it’s almost 7. I need to take the dogs up the hill and drop Lori at work. Hope everyone is well, take care and God Bless.

One more early morning

Today basketball practice was supposed to be after school but they changed it to another morning practice, ugh. So it’s 5:42 am and we’re trying to all get moving.

Yesterday I was in Aspen and then worked out. Ty had a haircut after school and then he and I went to the end of the year mountain bike party while Lori and Jag went to the soccer banquet. We all made it home by about 8.

Here’s some fallout from the fashion show. Anthony the designer’s phone has been ringing off the hook (his words) and apparently Jag was the hit of the show. He stood out so much amongst all the other models that Vogue Magazine and some professional photographers want to photograph him and potentially have him walk in New York Fashion Week! Anthony called us first before giving out his contact info in case Jag wasn’t interested. So obviously he is interested so stay tuned to see where this goes. We have no idea what’ll happen. Jag is walking for Anthony again this Sunday and then has some phot shoot coming up after that. Surreal huh?

Lori and I are off to the gym after the boys leave and then headed down to the house to meet the wood working guy. Not sure how much snow we’re supposed to get but we will get some. I think the roof is all on the house so that’ll keep the rain and snow mostly out.

Has anyone caught any of this sham impeachment thing on tv? The Dems case is falling apart in front of millions. Only would the Dems have hearings where the defense can’t call any witnesses, don’t get to cross examine any that the Dems call and are not given the same amount of time or access to secret witnesses that the Dems have. Karma must work as the two witnesses yesterday both denied what the Dems said they would say. After 3 years of the Russia hoax narrative they have nothing, wow. What a waste of tax payer money not to mention the lack of getting any of the peoples business done. Unbelievable. I hope they get swept out of office.

Time to run, have a good day, GB.

More basketball

This is the second morning in a row we’re up at 5:30 as the boys need to leave at 6:15 for basketball practice. It’s as hard on us as the boys. After school Ty has the year end mountain bike banquet and Jag has his soccer banquet. We’ll need to split up with each of us going to one event with one of them.

Jag received an invite to something called the Weekend of Excellence January 24th and 25th at Baylor and he can potentially get a full ride which would be heaven sent. We’ll all be going down to Texas in about 2 months.

Tomorrow we’re meeting the cabinet guy down at the house. He’s a friend of our builder and I guess can build just about anything out of wood. I think there’s a little snow tomorrow but it might miss us. The entire roof should be on by tomorrow.

That’s it, time to get moving. Hope everyone is well, GB.

A long day

Being a model is hard work, and takes a long time. They arrived around 11am and were home around 11pm. His walk lasted about 45 seconds. I guess there were like 500 people there and Jag said it was surreal. It was the big time. Meanwhile Ty was working on homework, cleaning his room and he went to lunch with some friends. This morning the boys have basketball at 6;30 so they need to get moving as it’s 5:54. I think Jag is coming home after practice to do some homework as he had no time yesterday.

I cleaned the kitchen and living room from top to bottom. Time to get moving but here’s a few pictures of the day. God Bless.

Time to hit the catwalk

Not sure why they call it the catwalk so I looked it up. It’s said it’s because models walk like a cat with their feet narrower than their body. If I was a cat I’d be offended and sue! #catwalk! Well anyway today Jag will be walking the catwalk at Denver Fashion Week. Lori and Jag need to leave around 9 and the show is at 4. If anyone wants to go (Ali ?) call Lori. I need to stay here with Ty to help him get caught up on his school work.

Last nights performance was great. Typically on the last nights performance the kids ad lib a bit. Jag threw in a line or two which was really funny. After the show we went to the Savin’s for some great food. George made great Mexican food and Lindsy made great Chinese food. We scarfed out like we hadn’t eaten for weeks and were stuffed when we left. We made it home by 9:30 and Jag, Ty and Emma were watching a movie. We went to bed pretty quick.

Next up is basketball practice which starts at 6:30 am tomorrow morning so the boys need to get ready for that. It’s every day this week and then next week is Thanksgiving week so not sure what the schedule is then. I’ll be cleaning a bunch today while Lori and Jag are gone. Hope they’re not too late. That’s it, God Bless.
