Revelations

Bad weather down on the front range. Rain, hail, tornados, flooding, sounds like the apocalypse. If you’ve ever read the Bible, the Book of Revelations is pretty dark. I think most people believe in God, but the degree varies. As people age, they get more religious, which is not surprising. At a concert at Red Rocks last night, more than a hundred people were injured by hail and the stampeding crowd. Hard to tell if the weather is worse or if this is normal. Of course it seems worse to many, but things on Earth sometime happen in cycles that are hundreds of years long so you never really know as no one lives long enough to know.

For us, all you can do is number one, get right with God. After that, there are things you can do to give yourself a better chance than the oblivious sheeple walking around with their faces glued to their cell phones, to survive in today’s World. At the end of the post I’m posting some things to consider but if you’re not into that, you can skip it.

Today Lori and I are running back over to see Ward with her hat. We’ll head to the gym first and then be around the house for the day. I think we’re having cigar night this afternoon as it’ll be the first one with James since he made it home. Ty is coming home this weekend as he’s decided to live here for the summer to save money and the jobs up here pay a lot more than in Denver. Good decision on his part. We told Jag and Ty they don’t need to go to Greg’s memorial service this weekend if they don’t want to. Jag’s been working hard and the girls he lives with are throwing a party and he should stay and have fun with his friends. Maddie’s birthday is tomorrow too so the boys can go see Billie (Greg’s wife) in a week or so.

That’s it as my beautiful wife just strolled out from the bedroom for coffee. Make it a great day and God Bless.

Here are things you can do to help prepare for what’s going on these days, for those interested.

Twelve things to apply that will help you prepare for the coming times

1) Get some of your assets out of the fiat currency debt-based monetary slave system because that system will crater (and it’s rigged anyway). Become proficient in using gold, silver, and crypto as means of exchange, because those assets are more “honest” in the sense that no government can artificially inflate their supply. (No government can print gold, silver, or Bitcoin, in other words.)

2) Relocate far from the “death zone” cities, many of which will be non-survivable. Move to a local area that reflects the culture and rule of law you wish to live within. Things are about to get very local, so you should pick a local living area that reflects philosophies of resiliency, self-reliance, honesty, compassion, and the right to self-defense.

3) Keep your passport up to date in case you need to seek a new destination around the globe. Have a crypto wallet where you have memorized the seed phrase so that you essentially have a “brain wallet” that you can access from anywhere. Use privacy coins that are untraceable to protect your privacy and avoid crypto confiscation attempts.

4) Become proficient in secure, private messaging technology. Deploy the Session app. Learn and deploy privacy crypto (Monero, FIRO, etc.). Learn about Apricorn thumb drives with keypad encryption. We use Signal on our phones. Also, make sure you acquire sat phones, and radio comms as alternative means of communication that don’t rely on cell towers and can’t easily triangulate your physical location. THIS IS A MUST AS COMMUNICATION WILL BE INTERUPTED. WE’RE BUYING SAT PHONES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY AND OUR FRIENDS ARE TOO.

5) Practice dressing down. Discard signs of visible wealth or abundance. Don’t live a flashy lifestyle. Toss flashy jewelry. Move out of your McMansion. Don’t drive a luxury vehicle. Don’t flash cash or gold. Embrace the “grey man” philosophy. Blend in with locals.

6) Store food and learn to grow food so you can be ready for the coming food rationing. Learn how to grow food in a way that isn’t immediately obvious to everyone (guerilla gardening). Stock up on necessary supplements like vitamin D and zinc. Acquire non-GMO garden seeds. Learn food preservation techniques such as canning or drying.

7) Learn a means of self-defense and become proficient in it. The easiest tool to master is a firearm, and the easiest firearm to learn is a rifle. Pistols are much more difficult to deploy and require far more training than using a rifle. (Sight picture, eye dominance, recoil control, etc.) If you don’t know what to buy, get an AR-15 and a Glock 19. Consider acquiring ballistic armor (see HopliteArmor.com) if you anticipate violence targeting your household or community.

8) Be prepared to have your location overrun and have a backup supply of critical items at another location. (Bugout plan.) Be ready for the Marxist / communist “Activation Day” scenario. Have enough supplies at your bugout location so that you have a chance at retaking your home, farm or community buildings if they are initially overrun. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you will never have to retreat from your house, ranch or city. There will be many refugees across America who are fleeing collapsed cities and regional kinetic conflict. This is why having a crypto “brain wallet” is critical because it cannot be detected nor confiscated from you.

9) Secure a reliable water supply at both your primary and secondary locations. Water scarcity is an easy means of control to subjugate the population. A reliable water supply requires water treatment solutions such as a gravity filter or a high-quality pump filter/camping filter. Have a plan to acquire and filter water without using electricity. Consider surface water, well water, and rainwater. Make sure you prepare water storage at both your primary and secondary locations.

10) Stock up on off-grid emergency medical supplies and first aid items. Many will be nearly impossible to acquire after the collapse kicks in. Specifically look at prescriptions (including antibiotics), ivermectin, and antiseptic supplies such as povidone-iodine. Related: Natural News is launching a new telehealth partnership that gives you access to licensed doctors who can write needed prescriptions where medically necessary.

11) Maintain your physical fitness with cardio and strength training, to be ready for the harsh physical realities of surviving a collapse (and working a garden). Bone density is essential for resilience and survival. Stamina will be required for the heavy physical demands of “collapse living.” Anything you can do right now to increase strength, endurance, and bone density will pay off in the years ahead.

12) Practicing living without electricity. Although a total power grid failure may never occur, we do expect regional, intermittent outages that could instantly plunge many areas of the country into darkness. Without electricity, water pumps stop working. Gas stations shut down. Retail establishments cannot function. Refrigerators and freezers halt, and air conditioning grinds to a halt. There are ways to live without electricity, but none of them are convenient or easy. Plan to deploy solar charging devices to provide trickle charges for small electronic devices such as cell phones and flashlights, but also plan for local cell towers to stop functioning for extended periods.

Food for thought, if you can’t do all, do what you can! Make it a great day!

Denver

This morning I’m taking the kids down. Hope to be out of here by 7:30 and back around noon. Basalt was good and quick. I met up with Ward and then hit Whole Foods before heading home. Jag was out of class in 20 minutes yesterday as he finished up his packet in short order.

Sunny and nice up here, been in the low 80’s. Should continue for the rest of the week with a scattered shower here and there. Time to get moving, make it a great day and God Bless.

Basalt

Good news! I took my truck in to the collision center and nothing structurally is wrong with it so they took it around back and buffed out the marks on the front bumper and it looks better than new! What a relief. This morning after a couple mile walk, I’m off to see Ward in Basalt. We’ve known Ward for 5 or 6 years as he made our first custom hats. He’s a good kid from Mississippi who we became buds with (as he puts it) and he’d hang out with us a lot. Check this out for fun, he’s got a good outlook on life, not for everyone, but it works for him,

Hope the link works. Copy and paste it if you need to.

James and Addy made it home late yesterday afternoon. They had to fly into Denver and take a car up. They were so thankful for the enchilada’s. They’re wiped out. Ty and Maddie hung out yesterday with some friends. Wish they’d come up with something creative to get in to. We have to keep reminding ourselves what we were doing at 19.

Time to go so we can walk the loop. Lori is in Edwards today and I’m taking the kids to Denver tomorrow. Jag is doing fine, looking forward to having him back up here this weekend, God Bless.

Great day

It was a good day with the family. We really didn’t do much except the usual. Hit the gym, went to Costco, had breakfast at H&H, brought Dixie up after stopping and seeing here, had a good dinner and watched some tv. Maddie made it up around 5:30. We met her dad and his new wife Natasha who is British. Nice couple that just moved to Eagle Vail yesterday! Earlier in the day, Maddie was in a car accident and t-boned in a parking lot by another car but she’s ok. I don’t know what’s with kids and car wrecks these days, seems like there’s a lot of them.

The cleaners come this morning at 10. We’re headed to the gym and then are dropping some enchilada’s for James and Addy who get home today. He’s home for about six weeks and then is touring in the States. Be good to have them home. Addy sent me a nice Father’s Day text yesterday.

Maddie is here with us until Wednesday morning when I’ll drive her and Ty down to Denver. I have some calls today and then maybe Lori and I will hit the Westin pool as long as the clouds don’t roll in. Jag headed down last night after dinner and is back in class today. He’s of course the top student in the class. A 28 year old Navy veteran who is Jag’s buddy that he helps out with homework sometime, sent Jag a text last night as he just got engaged yesterday! Fun.

That’s it, time to get moving, have a great week, God Bless.

Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there. Undoubtably the best thing a dad can do in life is be there for his kids, no matter what. It’s a responsibility to have kids and one of the big problems in today’s World is all the men who are not living up to that responsibility. The number of single mom homes, especially in minority communities, is staggering.

Arguably the single best thing I’ve done in my life, besides marrying the love of my life, is our two boys. They’re both kind, well adjusted young men who will make the World a better place. For me, that’s what this day is about. Recognizing how blessed I am to have such a great family. I’m a lucky man.

Yesterday after the gym, we loaded up the truck and headed to our favorite Mexican restaurant in Basalt about an hour away. We had fun and were home around 4 or so. Looks like the rain is all gone as the sky is blue without a cloud to be seen. We might go to the Westin, as we have a summer membership, and hang at the pool, we’ll see.

Maddie comes up today. Her dad is moving to Eagle Vail and she’ll be, I think, staying with us until Wednesday. Should be fun to get to know her better. Ty pulled weeds for the past two days to earn some money. Kid needs a job.

Time to go, Happy Fathers Day Dad! Make it a great day and God Bless.

Californians!

Yesterday was full of errands around the valley and then a good dinner of ribs, baked beans, asparagus, wedge salad and homemade bread. Tom bought me a pecan pie to celebrate the Nuggets championship from the place in Texas where I get pies all the time as presents and Jagger picked it up on his way up. Marty showed up around 6 and joined us and we all hung out and had a good time.

While in Edwards at the grocery store, Lori and I were walking back to the truck when I saw a lady in a smaller car backing towards the truck! I yelled and yelled at her to stop, but it did no good as she backed right into the front bumper of the truck! I couldn’t believe it. Of course she tried to blame a guy in a pickup towing a fly fishing boat that made her back up which made no sense, and yes, she was from California. She didn’t know her insurance company and said she was a, and I quote, “in high end corporate finance”. This made little sense as she was in a cheap rental car she said was from Avis but couldn’t produce her rental agreement. Lori took pictures of the license plate of the car, her drivers license and we took her business card. Personally I wouldn’t have given her $100 to invest but her card and story matched up with the website of their company so we’ll now let the insurance company chase her. She was nice but, excuse me, flat out dumb! Not saying all Californian’s are this way, but this one was. I’ll take the truck down to Glenwood Tuesday so they can order a new steel bumper. It crunched her car big time as my truck is a one ton truck and her car had to weight about a quarter of that.

Today we might go to Basalt but will probably go to the gym first. I forgot to plug in my phone though so I need to let that charge first so I have music. The boys hung out playing video games after dinner and I think after we went to sleep so we’ll let them sleep until we get back. Jag of course scored 100 on his latest exam. He’s by far the top student in his class. I think all the other people are engineers, some who are taking the class a second time as they didn’t pass last year.

Foggy outside still. We might go to the Westin and hang at the pool this afternoon, if it’s sunny. Time to go, need another cup of coffee this morning, it’s a two cupper kind of day! One more show for James tomorrow night and then they’re headed home. God Bless.

Foggy

Looks like a nice Spring day outside with a fine mist in the air and low hanging fog covering the tops of the hills outside the windows. I just put the trash out and had a cup of coffee. Ty and Sonny made it home sometime between 11 and midnight. They all had fun at the parade. Glad the all got to go as they’ll remember it for the rest of their lives.

Lori and I made it to Denver around 8:45 and picked up some wine from the warehouse. I then dropped her at Phoebe’s to get her hair done and ran up to the bank to drop off some of the wine. Next up was the cigar shop, then the mall and then it was back to pick up Lori. Phoebe cut my hair after she finished with Lori. It was now about 12:30 and we headed to our favorite butcher, Edwards Meats. I picked up some filets, ribs, pork and beef, some baked beans and potato salad and a couple chicken breasts. The place was of course packed. Then it was up the hill we went.

We made it home around 3:15 and 30 minutes later I headed out to meet the guys for a cigar, as of course, it was Thursday. James plays in Sweden tonight and Sunday and then comes home Monday. Lori is making a couple pans of enchilada’s for then for when they get home.

Today we’re headed to the gym and then going up to look at some new aspen trees for the backyard at the nursery. The we’ll be hanging around the house. Tomorrow I think we’re going to Basalt which is on the way to Aspen. Our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Korita, is there. Not sure if we’ll go into Aspen as we’re there next weekend for Greg Erwin’s Celebration of Life. You might remember he passed away early March. Plus the town will be packed with tourists for Aspen Food and Wine. Jagger comes up tonight. Can’t wait to see him.

That’s it, embrace the day and life! Be thankful as it’s not a given. Nobody owes you anything. Take charge and live large! God Bless.

Denver

Ok, 5:30am, Lori and I are headed to Denver for her hair appointment, and a trip to the warehouse, the bank, the mall and the butcher for Father’s Day. On the way we’re dropping Ty in Edwards at 7am at his buddy’s as they’re driving down too to go to the parade for the Nuggets! We should all be out of town by around 1 and headed home.

Yesterday we went to the gym, did some work around the house and worked from home. Our landscaper came over as he’s replacing some things he planted that didn’t really grow. We need to go pick out some stuff Friday am.

Today is also tax day, ugh. Paying taxes is such a waste as we don’t get anything for them. These days everything is worse than it was the year before and the year before that. Frustrating. Tomorrow Jag comes up and Saturday we’re headed to Aspen and then Sunday is Father’s Day. Going to be a busy three days. Oh, my accountant told me to go get a new truck or car, as long as it weighs over 6000 pounds. Then we get the tax deduction and we have 60,000 miles on our 2022 truck now. Time to start shopping.

Time to move and groove, have a great day, God Bless.

Sunny!

Nice day today with 80’s coming. Had a little rain in Denver yesterday but not too much. I was home by 6:30 after a good day. More to come later but I think we’re on to something. It should, fingers crossed, kick off a few million within a few years as we’re building it with the sole intent to sell. Jag is coming up Friday for Father’s Day weekend. We were going to go to Aspen for the weekend but think we’ll go just for the day on Saturday so we don’t have to board Harley.

This morning we’re off to the gym and then will be around the house as tomorrow Lori is getting her hair done in Denver. I’ll be picking up some wine and dropping it off at the bank for them as they want some to send to clients while she’s getting prettier.

Can’t wait for the nice weather, finally the 80’s are coming next week with no rain, about time. Guess I’ll get moving, have a great day and God Bless.

Champions

After a hard fought game where we didn’t play our best, we won. In fact, if you look at the series, we really didn’t have one good game where we played like we normally do. Yet, we still won. That says something about just how good we really are. We’re already the favorites to win next year according to the odds makers in Vegas. That’s a long way off but those guys know their stuff. Anyhow, what a great day. We’re all so happy. My phone didn’t stop blowing up for about two hours after the game. Tom and I must have exchanged 25 or 30 texts or more during the game and after.

We also had a house full as Ty had about ten friends over for the game. They had a blast too and the tv downstairs is on about a 5 second delay so we’d hear them all cheering after we knew what was happening, funny. What a great day and moment in this messed up World, congratulations to our team and to all of us fans! The best team won!

Today I’m off to Denver for a meeting on our new business. More to come on this but we’ve been working on it for a couple years. My Partner is flying in at 11ish and I’ll pick him up at the airport and head to a lunch meeting that’ll go a few hours.

Lori is working in Vail for part of the day and then will be here at home. Ty is here at the house. We have a landscaping project outside Ty is going to do. Jag was studying for most of the game as he has a test today. That’s dedication but not surprising as that’s just who he is. 6am now so time to get moving. I don’t need to leave until around 8 but have a few emails to send. Have a great day and God Bless.
