Cold, down there

Looks like they broke a record in Denver for cold temperatures. Also had some snow. Up here, we might have hit 35 or 40 yesterday for a moment. No new snow either. Should be warming up after today.

I’m kicking my cold. Looks like I dodged it as I haven’t really been sick. It’s just been an annoying stuffy nose and tinge of a sore throat.

Jag went to the dermatologist yesterday. I think Lori said he leaves today for one of Ava’s cousins’ weddings in California. Meanwhile, Ty’s working away, and I have a bunch of computer work to do. Lori is in Frisco today.

Big wins for the President yesterday when an Obama appointed judge ruled in favor of letting them go through all the records of all agencies to continue exposing the fraud and waste, and in some cases, criminal activity. The Dems are in panic mode, as they should be, as it’s all coming out. You can’t put the genie back in the bottle, as they say.

The Dem Colorado senate passed the most sweeping, illegal (it’ll get over turned) gun grab in U.S. history. It includes tons of restrictions and a gun registry which is illegal. Still, they did it. In the end, this might turn Colorado red again. Hope so.

Trump and Musk did an interview last night that debunked every single talking point the Dems have. Not sure how anyone can be against ending fraud and waste in the government. This is yours and my money being spent on crap that does nothing to make our lives better or help people. The Dem talking points, like they’re killing kids and grandma, are all just lies. Don’t fall for it, they’ve been lying to us for decades. wake up. Enough said.

Have a great day, God Bless.

Elk and Coyotes

Yesterday I hung around the house trying to kick my head cold. It’s really not that bad, just stuffed up a bit. Gives you a slight headache. I’m a little better this morning. Hopefully I’ll kick this today.

Last night, maybe around 4am, I heard the elk outside our window and then heard our resident pack of coyotes howling. Hard for them to bring down an elk as it’s a big herd and they’ll only go after a stray or sick one. Still, they’ll howl at them.

No new snow up here. Looks like Denver got hit with some and cold temps. I-70 is closed at the tunnel so no one from Denver is headed up here. Lori is in Vail today and Frisco tomorrow.

Jag has an 8:30am appointment at the dermatologist this morning and Ty works at 7. Think I’ll try to go to the gym this morning. I have a slight headache as I said, but that’s about it. I’ll see if I can work through it.

That’s it, time to get moving, 5:44am now. Have a great day and God Bless.

Icy

Not much snow last night but it is icy outside. I just finished shoveling the driveway and warming up the truck. I’m skipping the gym this morning as I have a little bit of a stuffed-up nose. Lori works in Vail today.

Last night, Jennifer and Gary showed up around 6 for dinner. They’re really nice and we had a blast. She had cancer for the last two years but seems to be in remission. Anyone who goes through something like that, has a much better appreciation for life. Makes all of our problems not so big afterall.

Harley was really well behaved, and they hung out until maybe 8:30 or 9.

Ty had an epic day at Beaver Creek. There is a snowboarder missing up here since Friday as he went out of bounds alone. You never do this, especially without an avalanche beacon and locator. Not sure if they were local or not. All I know is the person was 26 years old. Senseless way to go out.

Eleven days left until March! Spring will soon be here. Time flies. They say a little more snow before tomorrow morning. We’ll see. Have a great Monday and holiday, God Bless.

Coming our way

Looks like one more round of snow. Could be another ten inches, if the weather channel is right. The next 48 hours could be snowy. Next Saturday looks warm, so we have that to look forward to.

Tonight, Jennifer, Gary and our friend Melissa, who is here visiting and staying with them, are coming for dinner at 5:30. Gary and Jennifer live in Florida but also have a home here. They’re the ones that hosted the New Years Eve party we went to.

Yesterday we were around the house until around 2 when I dropped Lori in Edwards to get her nails done. I met up with Mark for a cigar while she was getting all pretty. Earlier in the morning, after the gym, we dropped Ty his snowboard gear. I think he’s headed to the mountain today. It was sort of a wet, rainy snow yesterday, with low visibility.

The Dems and leaders from around the World, are freaking out. JD Vance called out World leaders at the Munich Security Conference, saying mass immigration and the censorship of free speech are ruining the World. Apparently they didn’t like hearing the truth. In countries like the UK and France, people have gone to prison for silently standing outside places like abortion clinics, praying. Others have been sent to prison for misgendering someone or posting a meme on social media. In Scotland, there’s a safe space zone where you can’t pray in your own home, and neighbors are encouraged to report people who do! What the hell is going on. I predict the people will rise up all led by America, and the leaders (which in fact are leaders by their own design rather than representatives of the people which is what was intended), see their power slipping away. That’s the reason the Dems are all against Elon. It’s because he’s exposing how they were all on the take. None of them are disputing the fraud, waste and outright theft of our tax dollars, they’re just protesting him finding it. Lots of people should go to jail, and hopefully they will. Thank God for President Trump. The machine is running scared with the top internet searches in DC being “top defense lawyer”, and things like “how to scrub hard drives”, etc. They’re not going to give up their power easily. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another attempt to take him out. I personally believe higher power will protect him. Karma is a bitch.

Robi and Bobby are in Dallas. They sent a picture yesterday and are at the Drovers again in Ft. Worth. They’re going to see Billy for a couple days.

Well, that’s it for today. 7am now. Have a great Sunday and God Bless.

More shoveling

Shoveled twice yesterday and will be out there again this morning. This is by far the most snow of the season. That’s ok though, I don’t mind the workout, and we can always use the water.

We had the entire herd of deer in the yard most of the afternoon. Lori gives them apples and carrots, so of course they hang around. I put Davy’s trash out for him yesterday morning on the way to the gym and we had a couple hundred elk right out front. They work their way up the valley from time to time.

Lori made some chili yesterday and we’ll be eating it through the weekend. Ty’s going snowboarding today as he texted at 4am asking if I’d bring his gear up valley when I go to the gym. He might be going to Denver tomorrow or Monday. I talked to Tommy who texted the boys to come get the Beanie Baby’s and rock and roll stuff from his old house. Jag has a really busy week, so I told him to call Ty and ask him to grab it all as it’ll all be coming to our house anyhow. Tom wants to get his house cleaned out so he can get it on the market by April. I told him I’d help him if he needed it.

The sun is coming up so time to get outside. I shovel in gym shorts and a down coat so if it’s cold, I come in and warm up every 15 minutes or so. Guess I could just put on long pants, but that seems like too much work, ha. Looks like snow on and off until Wednesday. Lucky I go to the gym!

Have a nice weekend. Monday is a holiday. God Bless.

Shoveling

Late today as Lori had Pilates and her neck PT and I had about 10 inches of snow to shovel. Just finished up my second round of shoveling. Our workout was good, and Lori’s PT seems to be helping her. The roads were kind of dicey at 6:30 this morning but are just snowy and slushy now. I need to shower and run up valley to get Lori’s flowers for Valentine’s Day. Then we’ll hunker down, make some chili, and maybe go to the new Bob Dylan movie tonight, which is down the street.

Colorado Dems are at it again passing the most sweeping anti-Second Amendment bill in the Country. Now they want us to take a 4-hour class. Like that’s going to stop someone who wants to shoot up some place. Montana or Idaho is looking more likely every day. Hasn’t been signed into law yet, but with our Dem Gov and Dem control of the legislature, I’m sure it will. Good news is most of these people that vote for it, will be out of a job in a few years as people are fed up, nationally and locally. So sad to see what Colorado has become.

Time to go, need to head up valley. Have a great Valentine’s Day and God Bless.

Incompetence

Sometimes you just have to laugh. It’s hard to believe just how much stupidity and incompetence surrounds us. I don’t know if it’s a lack of education, too much indoctrination, or just that most people out there, are not that smart. It seems everywhere you go; you find it. Lori and I talk every morning about somebody that did something stupid the day before. And it’s not just meaningless things. Yesterday, one of Lori’s clinics managers, sent out an email showing she doesn’t even know what Dr. B does and sent it clinic wide. You’ve heard of the phrase, loud and wrong, we’ll this could not have been any louder, or more wrong. Lori sent her a private email politely correcting her, and the woman tried to sluff it off saying it was a typo, even though the same mistake was listed over a dozen times. Not that big of a deal, as it was an inter-office communication, but everyone that works there, now thinks this lady is clueless. I could go on with other examples, but you get the point. I told Lori, maybe we’re just uber smart!

Ty finished season 3 of Yellowstone last night. He and Madi are loving it. Hard to believe they hadn’t seen it, although we were talking with some other people who hadn’t seen it at all.

We’re working out this morning at 7. Need to be out the door at 6:30. February is a tough month money wise with property taxes and Bronco Season tickets all due. It’s always something. Valentines’ Day tomorrow. We might go see the new Led Zepplin or Bob Dylan movie. Both are supposed to be fantastic.

Turns out the judge who stopped the administration from stopping the govt. from fraudulent spending, donated $700K to Obama and was rewarded with a lifetime appointment. We’ll see how that works out. All these stall tactics are just that. In the end, it’ll all work out. Hard to believe the Dems are not protesting the billions of dollars of OUR money that was wasted and stolen, but rather the process of finding it. They’re running scared as so many of them benefited from the fraud in kickbacks. Things are going to get crazy, mark my words.

That’s it, 6am now, time to get moving. Have a great Thursday and God Bless.

A little snow

Running late today as I was out shoveling at 6am and then was out the door to the hospital to have blood work done at 8:30. I went to the cardiologist yesterday and as I said, I’m all good and my blood work is too. Good for another couple years!

Lori is working in Vail today and Ty is at Hovey. I stopped to see him for breakfast on the way home from the hospital.

Dems are claiming that Musk and Trump finding tons of fraud and waste are a constitutional crisis. Give me a break. Odds have it, everyone protesting has been on the take or benefited from the fraud somehow. No worries, the truth will come out, just a matter of time. Dems are their own worst enemy. If they keep this crap up, they’ll lose even worse next time.

That’s it, time to head out to the gym. Have a great Wednesday, God Bless.

Be careful

There’s been about six shootings in Denver in the last 48 hours or so. At least one was road rage on the highway too. You have to be careful in the city these days. Always wanted to bulletproof my windows. Might be time.

Snow and cold weather on the way. Looks like it’s snowing in Denver but it’s all clear up here. The cold weather and snow is supposed to come in tonight, at least down in Denver.

Yesterday I had my cardiology appointment. I hadn’t been in 3 years or so, but I’m good to go. My EKG and whatever else they look for show zero signs of any type of cardio issues at all. I always have all my bloodwork run too, so I don’t have to go to another doc, so I’ll go get that done tomorrow. Dr. Greenberg is the best and the only guy to see up here for cardio. Lori uses him all the time for clearances for patients for surgery.

Lori works in Edwards today and Vail tomorrow. Luckily with the incoming snow, she’s in Frisco next week. I bought Ty some groceries yesterday to take to Madi’s. Ty’s all ready to move to Montana and said he’d go work on a ranch right away. Madi though, wants to move to L.A. Ty said no way to L.A., so we’ll see how that turns out. Glad he’s a no on L.A. It’s a shit hole these days.

Activist judges are trying to slow down Trump’s agenda, but in the end, that’s all they can do. Dems are on the run and have no message the people want to hear. Impeach and resist are so 2016. The Dems are now the party of tired old white men and women, too funny. Can’t wait for the truth to come out as they’ve been cheating and stealing for years. Release that Epstein list while you’re at it too! Let’s see them explain their way out of that one.

6:30 now, time to get moving. Make it a great day and God Bless.

Crushed

Great game, better party. The guys started showing up around 3. Soon we had a house full. Lori’s food was amazing as usual, and we all had fun. We also had a house full of kids which was a switch, but fun. I think all of America wanted the Eagles to win, except the State of Kansas. In the end, most of America was happy. Ty came home yesterday for the game and stayed here last night. He should go get his new driver’s license today, we’ll see.

The halftime show was horrible. I think Ty and Ethan, our 15-year-old neighbor liked it, but the rest of us were disappointed.

Harley was a pill yesterday with non-stop barking. Lori gave her some meds before everyone showed up and they had a reverse effect. Commercials had a lot of AI in them. I thought the best one was the one with Harrison Ford for Jeep. If you didn’t catch it, go back and find it.

Lori has her new nurse starting today and I have a doctor appointment this morning. I have a lot to do around the house later today.

Years ago, we’d be heading out to Arizona about now driving Mom and Dad down for their 3-month vacation. Miss those days. I can clearly see the house down there and remember the feeling of being in Arizona in February. It sure was nice.

Looks like we have some weather coming in over the next few days. Doesn’t look like much more than a few inches over the week, but after that, next week looks like it’ll be in the 50’s.

Now the 2025 NFL off season begins. Tommy and I like this time of year as between free agency and the draft, we get new guys. Oh, speaking of halftime shows, James and the guys might play the Super Bowl next year, we’ll see. If so, I told him he has to take us all.

Take care, have a great week, God Bless.
