The Day After

Today’s post should have been called, “The Sore Loser” as that pretty much sums up yesterday. You see there’s a socialist, communist, pig of a man who has been trying to manipulate the sheeple (those are people who blindly follow another without thinking for themselves) to get what he wants. His name is George Soros and he own an organization called Moveon.org. Well, not liking the outcome of the election where the people fairly voted according to the rules of our Constitution, he organized his mindless followers into protests in something like 7 cities. Now the first question is, if Hill won, would you have seen this, the answer is 100% no! The second question is, should this man be held responsible for the 5 people shot in Seattle at the protest he personally directed the formation of? The answer here is 100% yes. But I doubt you’ll see that, instead they’ll go after the gun or something rather than this pig that incites violence across our Country rather than letting the Country and people heal. The funny thing is, Trump is the President and all the protests in the World will not change that. If somehow the Constitution was ever thrown out, then, you’ll see a protest, and not one where mindless kids follow a disillusioned old man they don’t even know. Shame on him, as a democrat, and as a person, for further trying to divide the people of our Country. And shame on anyone that also supports him or his agenda.

Today I have a conference call at 8am and then physical therapy at 11. Yesterday Eric at Lori’s office, checked out Jag’s back that’s been sore. We think he pulled a muscle but have him on advil and rest. His x rays looked fine.

I might be in New York next week but am waiting to hear. Then the week after is Thanksgiving and the kids are off. Lori says the ski resort and hotels are freaking out with no snow yet as the mountain is supposed to open on the 18th. Right now, it’s all grass up there and we have 8 days to go. We’re praying for snow!

Guess I’ll run, in closing it’s up to everyone to try to heal our Country after the most divisive election in history. Both candidates took the high road and actually gave their best speeches ever. Now it’s up to us. Personally I’m a little sick of having to baby the democrats. Even at the kids school, the teachers were way out of line with some crying and others spewing their own opinions and telling the kids how bad Trump is and how great Hill was. Of course, this happens in education everywhere as most teachers are democrats. In fact, a Yale professor told students they could skip a final if they were too distraught from the election! What! Are you kidding me? Get over it, some of our educators are raising a cupcake generation that is being coddled and babied which does them a great disservice in preparing them for this thing called life. Thank God both our kids saw right through this propaganda and refused to go along with these socialist ideas. Good God, we still have a lot of work to do as a Country. I don’t know or understand how our citizens became so mindless and soft. God Bless.

Shock!

Last night was one of those nights that no one predicted. We were resigned to the fact that Hill would today be President but were hoping to hold the House and the Senate. We, unlike every political pundit and all the experts, were flat out wrong. There’s no gloating today but only a prayer that the Country can heal itself as there is still half of America that is disappointed. I only hope that the anger and violence can be set aside and I also hope that President Trump will now change his tone and actually do the many things that need to be done to save our Country. The media, on both sides, destroyed both candidates. Neither one of them are as bad as we’ve been told they are. In any case, it’s a new day for America and the first time since 1928 that an elected President has had both Houses of Congress. We are glad though that it turned out the way it does, someone had to win and we’re thrilled it was our guy!

We stayed up until about midnight and then I woke up out of the blue at 12:40 am to see the announcement. My little sister called me this morning and we’re sitting here still sort of in disbelief as to what happened. I’m sure many of you are too are in shock and not feeling well if you supported the other side.

I wonder if all the celebs who said they’d leave the Country will live up to their words. From Barbara Streisand to George Stephanopoulos to Samuel Jackson to Miley Cyrus, all I can say is good riddance. I doubt they’ll leave but we’ll see.

So, politics is over. I have to commend Hill for conceding as I thought for sure she’d try to contest things and not give up. In the end, I always said it needed to not be close or there would be problems. There are still a few States that they haven’t called but they’re leaning heavily Trump too. So, that’s it, time to heal and move our Country forward. I believe things will be ok and he’ll surround himself with smart good people that want the best for all of us. It is just so funny though that everyone was wrong! The American people spoke and the elites couldn’t pull the strings this time. We shouldn’t be all that surprised as this has been a trend all across the World. The people have had enough.

Today I need to do a few things around the house before meeting the consignment store people at the storage unit to give them some more furniture. They sold our couch in a day, below what we had agreed to but are stepping up and making it right as it was their mistake. Ty had two basketball games last night and Mojo had a bath in Denver yesterday. I stopped and saw my Mom and had lunch with her which was nice. It’s nice up here today but we’re expecting snow next week. Time to run as Ty is responsible for breakfast this morning at school in home base so we need to get some donuts or something. Take care, God Bless you and God Bless America.

Well, we’re here

Today is election day, we’re pretty sure somehow, someway, Hill will be Pres, no matter what the people say. The worst thing about it is that if she wins, we’re going to have to see that smug face and listen to that annoying voice for 4 years, God help us.

But now to me. Yesterday I had a shot under my knee cap for my knee. The MRI shows I have an adema or bruise on the bone and whnever I bend past a certain point, it’s bone on bone which doesn’t feel real good. I start PT (physical therapy) this Thursday. It wasn’t so bad when I got the shot, not pleasant, but not too bad. However once I made it home, my knee was swollen and the numbing medicine in the shot with the cortisone, began to wear off. Then the pain began to build. I finally went to sleep around 10 but woke up from 12:20 until about 2:30. Just now, getting up, I threw my back out a little bit. I think that’s from working out at the gym yesterday and favoring my knee, but I’ll be ok. Lori has a headache which makes us quite the pair. Hopefully it’s just Hill that’s causing her head and my back pain!

This morning I’m off to Denver to see an account and I’ll drop Mojo for a bath since I’m going. I think we’re getting snow next Monday so time to get ready. Ty has a basketball game at 4 so no time to mess around in town. Jag ordered his letterman jacket yesterday at school which was another $200 but he earned it so we decided we needed to get it for him. He was ok with not getting one, but we could tell he wanted it. He was just not wanting to spend the money. He and Ty are both such good kids and really smarter than their years.

I have a few things to do paperwork wise before I go so time to run. No matter who wins, our Country and lives will never be the same. The only good thing is we don’t have to listen to anymore political ads. Neither campaign took the high road. But the last thing I’ll say, and mark my words, is you were warned. God Bless you and God Bless the United States of America.

Ouch

Well my Broncos didn’t play very well last night. In fairness, we had a bunch of key guys out on defense and our offense just couldn’t get going. The great thing about football is there’s always next week.

Today we’re back at it. We’re tired and sore from cleaning and moving things around the house all weekend. It’s 5:44 and I need to run to the gym so not a lot of time this morning. It’s still warm up here with no snow. I think Lori said last year at this time we had lots of snow. Not sure when it’ll come but I’d guess we’ll see it in the next few weeks.

Thankfully the election is tomorrow. We’re really fearful of what kind of Country we’ll have if Hill gets elected. If the election is close, we’re pretty sure somehow she’ll end up winning. Yesterday after repeated Facebook posts, Lori finally had enough and posted to everyone to please just stop posting political opinions. She pointed out that she goes there to see what friends are doing in their life, not to see vitriol such as Trump photos with a swastika on his face. I won’t say who posted that as we all know her but man are Hill supporters angry. She also said that she’s pretty sure everyone knows who they’re going to vote for by now, so just stop! Well, she had a ton of likes meaning people supporting what she said and agreeing with her. I think the whole Country has had enough. I’m just afraid that this election has caused such deep divides that the people won’t come together no matter who wins. As with all great civilizations, there life span throughout history is about 200 years. Well, we’re 40 some years past that and like it or not, we’re not the Country or powerhouse we used to be. There’s one thing about life and that’s that things change. So hold on, I’m afraid we’re entering a dark period in our history.  If you like the govt telling you what to do and meddling more and more into your daily life, you’ll be happy if Hill wins. If you cherish your personal freedom and the right to live your life as you want, I’m afraid you’re in big trouble. Time to pray for our Country and especially our children. Remember, it’s easy to give up or lose your rights but very difficult to ever get them back!

Happy Sunday

Well we, or should I say Lori, cleaned and rearranged Ty’s room yesterday and our mini makeover is now complete. Now we just need to, as they say, polish things up a bit. We skipped the Gala last night as in the end, although it would have been good to mingle with some other parents, we were tired, already supported the school, (would have been pressured into spending more) and don’t drink so it would have been a long evening watching people indulge for 5 or 6 hours. You see, when Lori gets home late Friday, which is usually the norm, by the time we blink, it’s Monday morning. Why do the weekends always go faster than the week?

Yesterday Jag went to town to play basketball with a few friends and Ty was busy here at home. Mojo got into a little scuffle with the neighbor dog, who, you guessed it, wasn’t on a leash. I guess our neighbor said “let’s see if they get along”, however both dogs were males. Big mistake, so each of them have a few battle scars but are ok.

The dems are getting scared. Boy are they angry people. There’s cases all across the Country of them vandalizing republican offices and worse, attacking Trump supporters, nice. I mean when did we get to a point where someone attacks someone else for their political beliefs? I feel like wearing a Trump hat and going into town and sitting around hoping some coward will attack me. I’m not the only one either. You see, most Trump supporters are not so much Trump supporters as Hillary haters. She is a criminal, no two ways about it. The more the dems do this kind of crap, the more people will vote for Trump. Funny they, thinking their so smart, don’t see this.

There’s a famous black man named Thomas Sowell who is extremely well educated and respected who says the following, but before you discount or poo poo who he is, here’s a bit about him in case you don’t know who he is, (you should also read some of his books as he’s pretty darn smart.

Thomas Sowell (/soÊŠl/; born June 30, 1930) is an American economist, social theorist, political philosopher, and author.

He is currently Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Sowell was born in North Carolina, but grew up in Harlem, New York. He dropped out of high school and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received a bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude[3] from Harvard Universityin 1958 and a master’s degree from Columbia University in 1959. In 1968, he earned his Doctorate in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Sowell has served on the faculties of several universities, including Cornell University and University of California, Los Angeles. He has also worked for think tanks such as the Urban Institute. Since 1980, he has worked at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He writes from a libertarian conservative perspective, advocating supply-side economics. Sowell has written more than thirty books (a number of which have been reprinted in revised editions), and his work has been widely anthologized. He is a National Humanities Medal recipient.

So, a pretty educated, self made man, well here’s his thoughts….enough said.

The Gala

Tonight is the school’s annual fundraiser which we’re supposed to go to. Not sure we’ll make it, we have a lot to do and I had a sinus headache all day yesterday. It was one of those headaches you could feel in your teeth. We should probably try to make it to hang with some parents. It’s a big shakedown starting with $30 parking at the Ritz and then a silent and live auction and a Paddle Match where they expect every single family to pledge some money and then some wealthy family will match it up to $100,000.00. That right there is enough of a reason to stay home!

Yesterday I took Jag to the doctor in Frisco to have an ingrown toenail cut out. It’s a pretty painful thing as they need to numb up your toe before cutting the nail out. Imagine a needle being stuck into your big toe a bunch of times. Once the numbness wears off, then it hurts again. After that we headed to the grocery store and then down to Costco before heading home. By then I needed to go get Ty from school. When we were driving home we were in awe of the beauty of the mountains we’re lucky enough to live in.

Today we need to tackle Ty’s room as that’s all that’s left in our mini makeover. Lori didn’t walk through the door until about 7pm even though Dr. C is in Moab as it was only her and Sarah at work yesterday to schedule all the surgeries and return all the calls.

We’re all so sick of politics. This has been the most taxing, depressing and ugly campaign I’ve ever seen. Again yesterday the Trump headquarters in Denver was vandalized. Once again you have democrats defacing and destroying anything republican. Funny how it’s always the democrats that are so mad and destructive. There so much angrier than republicans. That right there should tell you something. Even the kids noticed after watching tv asking “how come people always destroy Trump stuff and nobody destroys Hillary stuff”? Anyone out there have a good answer? If so, let us know. GB

TGIF

Well Hillary is getting desperate. All the ads she’s running are bashing Trump rather than telling us what she’ll do to make our lives better. You see she won’t make our lives better. Bill is coming to Colorado this weekend but apparently there’s still tickets available to go see hi. Guess he’s not the draw he used to be. We can’t wait until this is over.

Ty played two basketball games last night and they won one and lost one. Jag and I watched and then made it home by about 6. I had a really good meeting in the morning and then rushed up the hill to get home.

Lori has lots going on at work as usual and tomorrow night we have the Gala for the school. We were not going as tickets are $350 but the Director of Development called and invited us at no charge as we helped them out with wine again. I don’t normally like going to these things but it’s a good way to meet some other parents and it’s at the Ritz.

Our living room looks great and feels like a nice mountain lodge or hotel suite! Jag walked in last night and said now it feels like a mountain home.

Jag has a ingrown toenail we need to get cut out. He had this once before and they tend to grow back according to the doctor. He also has a basketball clinic all weekend long so we’ll see if he can play if I can get him in today.

CU (University of Colorado) beat UCLA in football last night and we’re now 7 and 2! This is the first time in over 20 years we’ve been ranked Nationally. We were number 15 and might even move up after the weekend. It’s nice to have a meaningful college football team to watch. Guess I’ll run, have a great weekend, God Bless.

Out with one, in with another

Our giant couch left yesterday and today our new vintage looking Pearson couch will come in, as soon as I go pick it up. The upstairs is pretty clean and even sounds hollow without the big couch. The new (used) to us couch, is a shade of green with high arms and a deep seat. It’s really comfortable. When I say vintage, the material and pattern looks like it’s sort of retro. It came from a home in Aspen and we picked it up at the consignment store in Gypsum. It actually cost a few hundred less than the one we’re selling.

Throw in a chair and desk (also used) for my office, (which used to be Jag’s room) and we’re getting a new feeling around here. We also pulled our old chairs out of storage and now all sit around a table for our meals which is really fun. In fact, with no couch here right now, I’m sitting at a table writing on my computer and this is the first time in over a year I’ve been able to do that.

I have a meeting in Denver at 9am so time to get moving. I was hoping to stop and see my Mom but she’ll be at the hairdresser until noon. Ty has a basketball game after school today, not sure if it’s at our school or somewhere else. Jagger was one of two 9th grade students chosen for the Hawaii Intraterm trip coming up in February. Intraterm is where all Upper School students take a week and go somewhere to help and learn about another culture. Other choices were Costa Rica, Mexico, the backwoods of Louisiana and others. It is going to cost us (what doesn’t) but is a right of passage for Upper School kids and a good learning experience. We’ll begin accepting donations tomorrow as we just found out they charge our credit card 50% of the fee on November 7th, super! (just kidding here, we’ll manage somehow but you might get a card for Christmas!)

Time to run so I can get ready to head out. Have a great day and pray for our Country. Oh yea, our medical insurance policy for all our employees has gone up so much, we’re now forced to make the employees pay more on their own. Since Obama Care, we’ve always absorbed the increase but just can’t do it anymore, nice. God Bless.

Pre SAT

This morning Jag has a Pre or practice SAT test. These are the college entrance exams for those of you that don’t know. Then both boys are off school at 1pm.

Turns out in a number of States, you can change your vote if you already voted! Who knew. Apparently a record number of voters are changing their vote. Maybe there’s hope for us yet. And just to show how far back the Clinton corruption machine goes, the FBI released the pardon records of a wealthy donor Bill pardoned on his last day in office. Turns out this to was pay to play too. If you still are blind in your love for Hill, check this out from Hill’s campaign manager to her lawyer,

Podesta To Mills: “We Are Going To Have To Dump All Those Emails”

Now what do you Clinton supporters have to say? The definition of stupid is ignoring the truth when it’s there in black and white right in front of your face. It’s sad to say but apparently there’s a lot of stupid people in this Country.

Also check this out, looks like 100 agents were going to resign unless the FBI released the truth about Hill, good for them,

FBI Director James Comey reopened the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails last week because “almost 100” agents threatened to resign before next week’s election

Now to the day, the boys and I bombed down to get Lori’s car fixed and were in Park Meadows for most of the day. We didn’t make it home until 4:30. The car dealership, unbeknownst to me, fixed the dents where the bear attacked Lori’s car and didn’t charge me! What a nice surprise. They had given us a loaner and we ran to a couple of stores we needed to hit since we were in town. We were going to try to get to my Mom’s but it took too long to fix the car and Mojo was all alone for the entire day. Maybe we’ll see her this weekend.

It’s 6:47 and Lori and I just got back from the gym. We went at 5:30 and Lori trained with our trainer and I did my own thing. After having two of the top docs at Lori’s office look at my MRI, I’m thrilled I don’t need surgery. That’s great but I do need some sort of injection and then PT which is physical therapy. Not sure how long it’ll take to get better or if I can ski this winter but I’m planning on it. I’ll probably go in this Friday or early next week depending on Dr. Hackett’s schedule. Luckily we don’t get charged a dime! If Lori didn’t work at the clinic, the bill would have been over $5000 including the MRI.

This morning at 9:30 our humongous couch goes to the consignment store. We paid $1000 and they’re selling it for $2000 so after they take their half, we’ll get all our money back! We’re then bringing up our old couch from downstairs which we’ll use. I’m then bringing our old table which seats four back from storage. This way we can all sit around a table and actually have a meal together. Next up will be cleaning out Ty’s cave. We’re sort of afraid of what we’ll find in there as there could be something growing under his bed!

That’s it, time to run, 6 more days until the political ads are over, whoo hoo. By this time, you should be numb to all the crap. The more outrageous an ad is, the less we believe it. Oh well, have a great day.

November 1st

Here we go, it’s downhill from here through the end of the year. After the election, (can’t wait till that’s over) we’ll have Thanksgiving and then a birthday or two and then Christmas. After Christmas, you blink and it’s 2017!

Last night Ty went to Rachel’s to go in search of even more candy while Jag headed into town for a party at Marcella’s. We picked Ty up around 8:30 as he has school today and Jag made it home around 10:30 as he’s off today.

I had my MRI yesterday and today will know more. It could just be a bone bruise but we’ll wait until one of the docs weighs in. Lori managed to get me in with 30 minutes notice as someone cancelled. She sure looked cute yesterday dressed up as a cowgirl. She was going for a female Clint Eastwood with my poncho, a gun belt and a nerf gun, but I’m not sure anyone picked up on that. She did wear my dads hat and boots in a fitting tribute to him. It’s funny but she is often wearing some of his cowboy boots. She said they are the most comfortable boots she’s ever worn. The boots he wore were always good boots so they should be comfortable. She just came down and said one of the girls at the hospital was whistling the theme from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, which is a famous Clint Eastwood movie.

Now to Hillary, just 6 weeks ago the dems were all praising the Director of the F B I but now are tearing him apart. This just shows you how they’ll say anything at anytime as long as it suits their agenda. People, let’s remember, this is a democratic administration! Even pres Obama came out yesterday and said he’s a man of integrity. That doesn’t help Hillary. Hill should go down as her campaign is unravelling day by day. We also found out the Dept of Justice blocked the investigation into the Clinton Foundation. Is anyone surprised? I could go on and on as there’s so much that has come out about her, her campaign people, and how they cheated and lied to get what they want. This lady cannot be President, period. By the way, this all came out as tons of F B I agents vowed to resign if the facts were not brought out. She’s in big trouble. This is the first time in history a Presidential candidate has ever been under Federal investigation while running for Pres. The Clintons keep complaining that the Russians hacked their email to try to deflect from what the emails themselves say! Who cares how it came out? Also the head of the Democratic National Committee had to resign from CNN yesterday as it came out that she was secretly giving Hillary the questions that were in the debates before the debates! Are you kidding me? What if Trump did this? They’d crucify him! What a double standard. Hopefully the American people will finally see through this crap. How can anyone support her now that all this has come out? Thankfully she’s hemorrhaging support hour by hour. The only way she wins is if the votes are rigged or the election is stolen. Hold on though as Hill will do anything to try to get into power.

Oh and by the way, check this out, Clinton and the Dems are already suing in 4 States over the outcome of the election, what? Yup, you heard me right, unbelievable.

WASHINGTON, Oct 31 (Reuters) – Democratic Party officials sued Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in four battleground states on Monday, seeking to shut down a poll-watching effort they said was designed to harass minority voters in the Nov. 8 election.

God help us if she wins.
