Farmers Market

This morning Ty works at 7. He picked up his first real paycheck yesterday which worked out to be about $250 a day! Hope he saves a bunch of it. Nice weather up here again.

Jag jammed his toe playing basketball and will probably lose his toenail. He went to the doctor yesterday afternoon after talking to Lori. His other toenail was already black. He probably needs new shoes.

July is moving fast. One week from today will be the last day of the month. Hold on, the seasons will be changing soon. Instead of opening the garage doors to cool things off, we’ll soon be running the heater. I’m planning on tackling part of the basement today for sure.

Time to get moving as we need to hit the road in 30 minutes. Have a great weekend, God Bless.

Nice, up here anyhow

Wow, the weather in Denver is nasty. Rain, hail, wind and flooding seem to be all over the metro according to the news. Up here it was a nice day with temps in the mid 70’s, maybe low 80’s at most. Ty worked until 5 and then went to the gym. He took the 5:44 bus home and I picked him up at 6:15 down at the roundabout. Lori went to dinner with the girls and was home around 8:30.

Oppenheimer starts today at the movie theater. We’re looking forward to seeing it as it’s supposed to be the movie of the summer. Jag had a great call with my buddy who is a legend in the financial World. I met him a year or so ago through James as he manages the bands money and investments. We just hit it off and are pretty good friends. That’s how things work, you almost have to know someone these days to get to the right people. Paul told a guy who he had Jagger call at JP Morgan that he’d hire Jagger in a heartbeat! Pretty cool that Paul would say that, but then again, we all know Jagger.

Looking forward to the weekend. Ty is heading down Saturday night or Sunday morning to stay with Maddie as her birthday is next Tuesday. He’ll be back up next Thursday and we leave Friday for Aspen.

Biden may be done. A document was released yesterday that shows Joe and Hunter took bribes from Ukraine. Anyone surprised? Mainstream news will probably ignore it but this one might be too big to hide from. Plus the Dems want to get rid of him anyhow.

Time to get moving. Hot all over the Country with water temps in the ocean in Texas and Florida and the Gulf Coast around 90! That’s hot. We’re so lucky to live in Colorado. Make it a great day and God Bless.

Sick

Yesterday Ty made it to work and as soon as he arrived, was throwing up! I was on the way back from Denver so he took the bus home and then started walking from the bus stop in downtown Eagle home to the house. He was about halfway home when I pulled up. He took it easy all day and went to bed early as he works again this morning.

Good rain last night. Nothing bad but a good shower here and there. I booked a place in Aspen for next weekend. We booked it for 3 nights even though we’ll only use it for two. This way we can check in early Friday morning. We’re going to the Heritage Fire Festival with Jeff and Tina.

I’m watching on the news how a veterinarian practice donated 2 bullet proof vests for the Sherriff’s department dogs as one was killed in the line of duty five months ago. What no one knows is Tommy donated the money, almost $50,000, for the Sherriff’s department to buy two new dogs! Great job Tom. Best thing is Tom did this to help, not for credit.

Time to get Ty moving so we can get on the road in 45 minutes. Make it a great day and God Bless.

Healing up

My knee is getting better. Think I’ll lay off the gym for another day. Ty works today and I have a couple errands but should be back by noon. We just booked our place in Aspen for next weekend for the Heritage Fire Festival which is all about fire, meat and cocktails. We’re going with Jeff and Tina. We had to book a place for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night even though we need it for only Friday and Saturday. Maybe we’ll go over Thursday but need to figure out how to get Ty to work.

Cooling down up here, nice. I’m headed to Denver to make a deposit and hope to be in and out of town asap. Hope wherever you are you’re staying cool. Make it a great day and God Bless.

4:48am

Off to Denver early this morning. Not going to CA after all, yea! While at the gym, Lori called and squeezed me in with Dr. Cuningham for my knee pain. Turns out I have really bad arthritis under my knee caps on the outside of both my knees and I aggravated the left one doing lunges. The pain I feel is bone on bone when I squat a certain way. Dr. C. said I must be really tough as that’s got to be causing me a lot of pain. I told him, no, it really doesn’t hurt all that much, which surprised him He said someday we’ll both need replacements, him a new hip and me new knees, but for right now he said I could have a steroid shot to which I replied, go get it. I need to take it easy for a few days, hence no running through airports to California. Brian my Partner was going with me and can handle it.

We went to Gerry and Marci’s for dinner and Teddy, the chef from our local Japanese sushi place came over and cooked us four dinner. He’s a long time friend of theirs and comes over once a week to cook form them, usually on Monday’s when the restaurant is closed, nice. It was amazing and we had a blast. We’ve known them 20 years or so.

I have the garage doors open again this morning. I brought in all the wine last night as it was 85 out there when we got home! It was 100 degrees up here yesterday. Going to be hot again today before dipping below 80 for 3 or 4 days. Soon it’ll be Fall, sure hope it’s a mild Winter but the way things have been going, I’m preparing for the worst. If you read the bible and have read the Book of Revelations, you too would be concerned. I won’t go into that, but you can easily find a bible if you’re wondering what I’m talking about.

5:11am now, time for a quick shower and then I’ll hit the road. Have a great Tuesday and God Bless.

Hot

Ok, it’s not Denver hot or as hot as most of the Country but it was 92 up here yesterday. When I get up in the morning, I open some windows on the main floor and leave the windows upstairs, (hot air rises) open all night. Around 7am I shut them. This cools it down to about 70 degrees in the house and then I don’t need the A/C until late in the afternoon. Yesterday we had to run down to the neighbors as Dea’s dad showed up at the house to stay and the A/C down there stopped working. They’ve been out of town for the past week and it’s been running nonstop and the intake pipe had frozen ice around it. Thankfully it was cool inside so we ran the fan with the A/C off which our guy said should fix things.

Jag stayed until around 9 doing homework and then headed for Boulder. Ty went camping last night and will be home this morning. I’m supposed to fly to CA tomorrow but jacked my knee up working out Friday and will have an MRI today so we’ll see.

Lori and I went to the 12:20 show of Mission Impossible. It was good and entertaining. We have dinner tonight at Gerry and Marci’s. Probably should have not committed to this but it is what it is. Time to get moving, have a great Monday, God Bless.

Fun dinner

Yesterday was a busy day. After dropping Ty we went to the gym and then stopped at the farmers market. Next up was stuff around the house which took up most of the morning. At noon we headed up to one of the docs houses where Dr. B was roasting a whole pig. They started at 5am and it was done at noon. We hung out for 90 minutes or so before heading home.

Adriana met us at the house and visited for about an hour and a half. By then it was 3:30 and at 4 we had to leave for dinner in Carbondale. We went to Robbie’s house first to meet him and Phoebe before dinner. Robbie is a famous musician who had numerous hits starting in 1968 including one of my all time favorite songs, I Love You. That band was called “People” and I wore out that 45 record. His home is amazing and has a bunker built under the house with supplies to survive any war. It was beyond description. Tom, I’ll tell you more when I see you.

Dinner was great in Carbondale and we had a great time. Around 8:15 Lori and I headed home. Jagger and Max went to the pool at the Westin during the day while Ty worked. We’re all three off to work at 6:30 this morning, ugh.

That’s it, time to get moving. I have the garage doors open now to cool it down. The temperature has dropped from 76 to 66 degrees in about ten minutes. Have a great Sunday, God Bless.

Full house

Jagger, Ethan and Max rolled in about an hour after we did yesterday afternoon. Traffic was brutal getting out of Denver as it took us probably an extra hour to get home. Lunch was nice with Jeff and Tina at Del Frisco’s, and we also stopped into the mall to drop off a pair of Lori’s sandals for repair. Ty worked all day from 8 until 5:30.

We’re off this morning at 6:30 to drop Ty and then hit the gym. This afternoon at 4, Lori and I are off to dinner in Carbondale. It was hot in Denver but ok up here. I have the garage doors open now to cool it off with the outside air.

Time to get moving as I don’t hear Ty moving and we need to leave in 30 minutes. Make it a great Saturday! God Bless.

Lunch

Today after dropping Ty, Lori and I are headed to Denver for lunch with Jeff and Tina. We should be home around 4 when Ty gets off. Jag is coming up after class for the weekend.

The house is clean and sparkling. My one-hour conference call turned into a four-hour conference call yesterday. All good stuff.

Lori made it down and up in good time yesterday and then took her Mom to get her nails done. I met up with Marty for a cigar before picking up Ty. We were both lamenting how our haircuts cost a hundred bucks but that did include a tube of hair gel. But still, $100 for a men’s haircut? Time to bring back Floyds Barbershop from the Andy Griffith show. At least at Floyds you got a nice hot shave too, ha.

Mission Impossible starts tonight. We’ll try to find a time to go see it soon. Should be the hit of the summer. 6:12am now, Lori’s watering her flowers outside right now. There’s a new house down the street that is selling for $2,850,000 and it’s 3900 square feet. That makes our house at 4500 square feet worth $3,285,000. Obviously housing prices haven’t gone down up here. In fact, that means our house doubled in value in just two years. Bad news is our taxes doubled too, ugh. We’d sell but there’s nowhere to go and mortgage rates are way too high. Things sure are messed up with the economy. Then of course if you really want to see messed up, look at Biden and his cronies. The Secret Service announced the investigation into how cocaine got into the White House is over as they can’t find out who did it. So let me get this straight, the most secure building in the World, with cameras everywhere, can’t tell us who put cocaine in a secure locker in an area that’s not open to the public, right? Give me a break. What a joke. Hard to believe these guys can get away with this crap. Soon the democrats will be replacing Joe with some younger candidates. No way they’re letting him run, mark my words.

That’s it, I get too upset thinking about where we are as a Country, God help us, have a great weekend and God Bless.

Clean to clean

Need to clean the house this morning so the cleaners can clean the house. Sort of like doing the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, ha.

Ty works at 8, Lori is off to Denver around 9:30 and I have a conference call at 10. James is still doing some work in California but I think the guys are still getting together for an afternoon cigar today. Tomorrow we’re back in Denver for lunch with Jeff and Tina instead of having them up for the weekend. Saturday we have a dinner in Carbondale and Jag is coming up for the weekend too. It’s a little hazy outside right now, probably from the fire 75 miles or so west down in the mountains above Parachute. You can see it from the highway. It’s not big but it doesn’t take much to throw off a lot of smoke. Mid 80’s up here, maybe 90 but overall, were golden compared to most of the Country. Hard to imagine a better place to live. Sure looks hot down in Arizona and Texas.

The new Mission Impossible comes out tomorrow! We’re excited to go see it in our little private movie theater down the street. Dixie is doing fine but has taken to stripping down naked and sitting around her house. We think she gets hot but it’s not super-hot in her place or anything. Funny. Lori will stop and see her on her way back from Denver this afternoon. I need to go see if Ty cleaned his room and if not, wake him up so he can get it done before work. It’s almost 6am now and I need to take him at 7:30. I’ll get in a quick workout after I drop him since I’m there.

That’s it for today. Enjoy the summer as soon it’ll be Fall. God Bless.
