Happy Valentine’s Day

Feb. 14th, VD Day! Also halfway through the second month of the year. Close to a year we’ve been dealing with this crap also known as covid too. Snowing up here, nice and fluffy and not that cold. Looks like 10 degrees below zero in Denver right now. Cold.

Ty is at Preston’s as it was his birthday last night. Jag went out for some dinner and then back over to a fraternity that had invited him over the day before. He said it’s not like what you’d think with a bunch of drunk guys but rather pretty quiet and nice. Even if he doesn’t join he’s meeting some new guys.

Harley had some more training yesterday as the trainer came over and worked with her and Lori. Tomorrow is President’s Day but I’m still working. Ty is out of school though. Lori is almost fully recovered from her second shot. I received a notice I could schedule mine but after reading the criteria to sign up, I don’t qualify. I could probably get one by saying I’m in housekeeping or medical but I’m not going to do that. Plus I’d like to wait for an actual vaccine as the two out now even though they are called vaccines, actually are not a “vaccine” by definition. Just to be clear for any fact checkers, here’s the definition,

vaccine[vakˈsēn]NOUNa substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease.

You see they have zero actual covid in them and are actually gene therapy. In other words, they do not contain the causative agent of the disease. In fact, covid cannot be defined as a disease, they can’t pin it down, which is why they can’t get any to develop a vaccine with. What they do know is it’s a bunch of different symptoms much like the flu or the common cold only more intense.

The Moderna and Pfizer creations or shots send a strand of synthetic RNA into the body which then invokes, or makes the body create the S1 spike protein, which is a pathogen.

This is not only not keeping you from getting sick, it’s making your body produce the thing that makes you sick, so technically again, it is not at all like a vaccine, since “a vaccine is supposed to trigger immunity”, see the definition.  It’s not somewhat different, it’s not the same at all. It’s a means by which your body is conscripted to make the toxin that then allegedly your body somehow gets used to dealing with, which is suppose to hopefully then trigger the immune response. Hope it works but this in general is how mRNA shots work. That’s why these are the first ones to be approved. If there wasn’t this “national emergency”, these shots would not have been approved as of now. Some have been trying to get approval for mRNA shots for 20 years. In any case, I’m hoping for the best for everyone but will wait my turn and when it comes, then see how wide spread things are and weigh the risks. Thankfully cases nationwide are way way down.

Oh well, if you don’t agree, no need to comment. I’m sure everyone can find some article to support their feelings so we each need to go with what we want to believe. For me, I haven’t seen any time in history where there has been push back like this to any vaccine from the flu shot to even HIV or for that matter, anything. Makes one think. Just saying.

Enough for today, God Bless.

A little snow

Up here we just have a dusting. It’s also in the 20’s while it’s below zero in Denver. Lori I think has kicked her fever from the vaccine. Lots of people getting the shot who shouldn’t be able to yet.

Jag is settled in at the dorm and we miss him already. I did some twisting exercises on Thursday, big mistake. My back is sore today, ha.

Biden and the Dems are out of control. They were caught red-handed yesterday manipulating video and tweets in the sham impeachment trial. They quickly said it was a mistake but a high school student could have called them out. Then lawyers played video clips of every dem saying things much worse that what they accuse Trump of. What a waste of time and money, our money! Vote them all out.

Today we’re taking it easy. Might get into Vail but am not sure. Was suppose to go to Aspen yesterday but had to run down the hill instead. Think I’ll just rest. Have a great day, stay warm and God Bless.

As advertised

Jag made it to school, I had my call and Lori had her second shot. As predicted, she had a 101.8 fever last night, the chills and a headache. Not sure what it is this morning. This is what we expected. I don’t know of any vaccine in my life that makes you this sick. They say it’s normal but what else are they going to say.

When she went to get her shot she was in line with hundreds of Mexican people in their 30’s and 40’s using passports for identification. When she questioned how and why all these people could get the shot, someone told her their from housekeeping. Lori said “that’s funny, I’ve never seen any cleaners in Gucci snow boots with Louis Vuitton purses”! Lots of couples too. People cheat, always have, always will. I called Channel 7 News in Denver and told them, ha.

I’m off to Denver to go to the bank to sign some papers. Should be back by mid afternoon. I had another chiropractor appointment to move my neck around. This shit is getting old but I’m almost all better.

Time to get moving, have a good weekend and stay warm as it’s freezing cold in most of the Country, God Bless.

Off to school

This morning around 9, Jag leaves for Boulder. His move in appointment time is 11:30. When he arrives he has to get a covid test before he can move in. He’s not taking as much stuff as he did last Fall as we’re not sure how long he’ll be there. Last night the washer and dryer was running non stop to get his clothes clean. I need to make sure he takes a heavy coat and gloves with the cold weather coming in.

I have my Company wide annual meeting today from 12 to 3. Ty has school, and Lori is getting her second shot this morning. I’m hoping to go to Denver tomorrow but we’ll see.

Now they want us to wear two masks! Unbelievable. I’ll stop there as I have nothing more to say after that. God Bless.

Good Morning

Better sleep last night. It’s about the first night in two weeks my neck hadn’t been sore. It had been feeling like I worked out too hard and strained it. I was so tired yesterday my eyes were red and burning all day. Mom always said, getting old is hell. Tom, Robi and I are still young so they say but we are all in our 60’s. Yes this is young but look out as the 70’s aren’t that far away. Knowing this, now is the time to do something. Be active, take up a new hobby, take a trip. Get out there!

We’re looking at chartering a sail boat in the Caribbean with a Captain and Chef for a week long sailing trip in June. Friends have done it and you’re close to islands and stop somewhere every day. it’s not like you’re sailing for hours on end every day. It’s just one of our ideas for a summer trip. We might go to the coast of Tuscany instead and rent a house on the beach. The only sure thing is we are doing something.

For now we’re trying to get through February and get to Arizona in March.

This morning Jag is working out at 8 and hopefully he can drop Ty at school. Jag was going to stay home and not move back in to his dorm but all his friends want him to come so he’s going to go tomorrow and see how it goes. Lori is in Frisco today and I need to go to Carbondale but would need Jag to pick up Ty at noon so not sure I can make the trip. We’ll see.

Cold in Denver, warmer up here. That trend is going to continue for a few days as there’s a big cold front pushing down from Canada right into the center of the Country. Looks like below zero down there this weekend, brr.

That’s it, think out of your head! God Bless.

Denver

I have to be at the distributor at 8 so time to get moving. Yesterday was a good day. I had a treatment at the chiropractor and it helped a lot. It took like 5 minutes and was basically nothing more than having my head turned left and right while being lifted up and down. Who knew.

We think Jag is just going to stay up here and not move back into the dorm as classes are still all on line. If so, what’s the point? The only downside is the University still charges us for room and board even though you’re not there.

Weather is strange as it’s colder in Denver than up here. Looks super cold down there this weekend but warmer up here. The middle of the Country is really cold and we (the mountains) are on the edge of it.

Other than that, we’re all well. I need to get in the shower and be out the door in 30 minutes. Make it a great day, hang in there and God Bless.

Good Game

Finally K.C. came down to earth. Lori and I really don’t like either team that much as each have guys we don’t care for but in the end we liked Tampa Bay better than Kansas City. So it was a good game! Our neighbors came up for the first half. Lori and I were talking earlier about how they should start the game earlier. 4:30 MST is too late as the game wasn’t over until after 8 pm. Oh well, not like we had much else to do.

I made it to Steamboat by 10 and was home by 11:20. It was a nice pretty drive and the roads were dry. Coming home the wind had blown snow across the roads in areas but nothing bad.

I have a call with our Rose estate from France this morning. The whole team is on and we’re all uncorking the new vintage of Rose with them as it will be arriving in the U.S. soon. Ty has school, Jag is working out and Lori will be working also. I need to try to get in to see this guy at Jointwerks today so they can move my head and neck around to help get the crystals back in line. I’m a lot better than two weeks ago but I still need to be careful about tilting my head backwards like you do if you look up to the sky or put eye drops in your eyes. Hopefully they can fix me up today. It feels like I’ve had a sinus infection for months and this had been building up. Always something.

I need to take Ty to school and then be showered and dressed for my Zoom call so time to go. Whoops, Jag is going to workout so he can drop Ty at school, nice. Looks like it’s cold in Denver but warm up here. No new snow here and it’s almost 30 degrees now. Be well, safe and God Bless.

Off to Steamboat

This morning Ty and I are meeting a buddy from Encampment Wyoming which is up by the ranch in Steamboat to sell him a couple of our saddles we just don’t use these days. Up there, people use saddles every single day and ours have been sitting in the garage for a few years missing being on horseback. Time to get them working again. We should be in Steamboat by 11 and home by 1 at the latest.

We have our neighbors Brian and Michelle and their daughter Sam coming over for the Super Bowl. Sam’s best friends dad was one of the guys who died in an avalanche four days ago. Not a good year to ski out of bounds. Brian is a big time hunter and helps me out registering in different States to try to draw hard to get tags.

Jag worked out for 2 and 1/2 hours yesterday! He has this one workout where he does 1000 reps! We keep telling him don’t push it too much but Brent, his trainer gave him the workout written out on his phone. Ty was hanging out with Sonny until about 6:30. Lori made some great hoisin teriyaki chicken on the grill for the boys. We are all sucked in on a new Netflix series called The Crown. It’s pretty good and we’re almost through season one. Check it out.

We’re planning our trip to Arizona for some sun and fun and to go see Robi and Robert! We can’t wait! My neck is better this morning but I did workout too hard yesterday myself. I thought I was having a relapse but appear to be better today. I can’t stretch my neck backwards yet, but everything else is good. I also stopped taking steroids yesterday and am down 4 pounds today. I was freaking out being up 4 pounds! I drank a gallon of distilled water yesterday to flush out my system.

The sun is coming up and I need to shower and load up the saddles. Haven’t decided who to cheer for in the big game. Leaning towards Tampa since Kansas City won last year and most people are picking them. I usually opt for the underdog. Hope everyone is fine. Make it a great day, make some good food and God Bless.

Good morning

6 am and coffee’s brewing. We’re conditioned to get up this time of day regardless of the day. No new snow here but I guess there’s some around the State. Tomorrow I’m off to Steamboat to drop off some saddles to a cowboy from Wyoming, weather permitting.

Tomorrow afternoon is the big game. Don’t really care about it but I’m sure we’ll turn it on. Today I really want to clean up the mud room. I’ve been putting it off for days as I don’t really have a place to put a large rug we replaced. Should just give it away! Need to figure it out today.

Boys are well. Jag has started his real estate class and Ty is doing well looking for a job. Think we’ll go to the gym sometime this morning.

Ok, coffee’s done, have a great day and God Bless.

Lori Day

Despite the snow we dropped Ty at school and were in Denver at Libby’s office by 10:30. After a quick dermatologist appointment we headed over to Sol, Lori’s preferred lingerie shop in Cherry Creek. I had bought her some bras for Christmas that she needed to exchange. We were the only ones there (you have to make an appointment) and in and out in 15 minutes with two new bras. Then it was off to Garbarini where Lori found some new work clothes and some super cute bell bottom jeans all at 50% off of the already marked down sale price! What a score. Tina met us at the store and then we all went to lunch at a Mexican restaurant also called Sol. Her jeans and a few shirts looked like she was straight out of the movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. We joked Jagger is going to want them as he loves those kind of clothes. Next up on our way up the hill we stopped at the Verizon store where Lori finally got a new phone. This took a few minutes but in the end was a good thing as her old employer called the day before telling us they were still paying her bill, (whoo hoo), and we needed to go to the store to finalize the import back to our account. By this time it was 3;30 in Denver and we headed for Eagle. Two hours later we were home.

Jagger made another great dinner. I’m better and less dizzy every day. I hardly even notice it anymore. This morning Jag, Lori and I are headed to the gym at 7:30 while Ty has Zoe, his tutor, at 8. More snow coming. Another guy died in an avalanche yesterday after 3 died two days earlier. I don’t understand why these guys go skiing out of bounds. Right now Vail Pass is closed.

Ok, so Lori can get me the vaccine if I want. Hmm, not sure I’m ready. Apparently family members of hospital workers are eligible up here. Didn’t know that but like I said, I think I’ll wait a bit anyhow.

Harley was sick yesterday afternoon from eating elk poop in the backyard, yuck. We gave her a pill last night and she made it through the night without anymore problems. Hopefully she’s all over it now.

That is it! Hope everyone is well. I’ll try to post some pictures of Lori in her cute 70’s outfit tomorrow. Wish I had all my clothes from 50 years ago, right? God Bless.
