Here we go again

Last week of April, almost last week of school, for Jag, and the NFL draft is this week too. Lots going on. I’m of to Denver this morning. Hopefully back by early afternoon. A little snow in the northern and central mountains tomorrow but it should miss us. 80 on the weekend.

We bought some plants and flowers at Costco yesterday but won’t put them out for a week or so until it warms up. Mojo slept outside as he prefers that. We have him hooked up to a long lead and he sleeps in his bed and Lori always goes out and puts his blanket over him. Sometimes he just doesn’t want to come in. At his age, we let him decide.

Anyone watch the Oscars? Us neither. Heard it was terrible as like everything, it was billed as a new “all inclusive” show. Well good to know that it too is now about spreading the awards around to different races rather than the best movies. To me, this is racist, right? Old time actors from when we were kids have to be rolling over in their graves. It reminds us of a little kids soccer game where everyone gets a trophy. If I was an actor of color and knew that a white did a better job, I would have given the award to them. Good news is this crap seems to be coming to an end as people are finally waking up and pushing back, thank God. What a bunch of morons.

That’s it! Make it a great week and God Bless.

More sun

Today should be really warm. Yesterday was nice but in the afternoon the clouds came in and the wind picked up. The dogs were fine outside all day. It was what we call a Ty Day. That’s what we call a day when one of the boys is treated to some new clothes or stuff. Ty ended up with some new shirts, a few pairs of pants and a hoodie. In between we dropped some wine at Jeff and Tina’s for an event on Tuesday and then went over to Schultz and Jane’s as he and I are working on a new restaurant concept to put in a bunch of airports domestic and international.

Today Lori would like to get some flowers. We’ll see where we can go. The closest nursery worth anything is in Carbondale about 40 minutes away. Jag is doing well at school and has a couple weeks left. For most students they’re stressing out about finals but for Jag, that’s his forte. He might get a bit stressed but he’s trained himself over the years how to study and ace tests. If there was a job that paid you to takes tests and score well, he’d make millions. He has to move out by May 6th so we’ll see him soon. He’ll probably come up for a few days in between to drop off some stuff.

It’s 8:30 now and I slept in sort of as the dogs woke us at 5. Time to get going as Lori has lots for us to do today. Harley follows her around like her personal assistant and if you tell her to go get her ball or rope to play with, make sure you’re not between her and one of her toys. She’ll run you over. She’ll go fetch her toy and when Lori throws it she’ll point the other way and she’ll run at about 40 miles an hour right past you with it before coming back for more. All the time her tail is wagging nonstop.

That’s it today, come visit! Summer is the best time to be in the mountains and we have room if you don’t mind sleeping on a huge square like couch bed that’ll sleep 4 or 6 people. See you soon! Hint hint Robi! God Bless.

Down to Denver

Lori and I are headed down to pick up Ty and meet with a buddy on a restaurant concept for airports across the Country and in different parts of the World. Then we might go through Boulder and see Jag. We were going to the gym first but the dogs woke us up around 4:30.

Sunny today and for the next few days, whoo hoo. All blue sky outside right now. Some more good news, as of 11:36 last night, Jagger is officially initiated to Pi Sigma Epsilon, his fraternity. Super proud of him and the best thing is he’ll have friends for life as the bond of the frat keeps men together. Great job!

Now to the Country, unfortunately not good news. Have you ever seen such an anti-American administration? It seems all they want to do is tear us down, apologize for us and brand all of us racists. I’m so sick of and embarrassed for Joe Biden. Actually he doesn’t know what he’s doing or saying which is even worse. Take a look at the climate forum the U.S. called for. Here are all the World leaders, none wearing a mask except Joe and everyone has their Country’s flag behind them but us. What a joke.

The worst thing is all these other leaders know how weak we are and will be taking advantage of that. Say what you will about Trump but he would never allow the things that Joe does to happen. I mean does Joe think he’s going to catch the virus though the computer? Also what happened to “if you get vaccinated you don’t have to wear a mask anymore”? People are laughing at him and in turn laughing at the U.S. This will soon stop as people are just going to start ignoring him and whatever they, meaning the government says. God help us.

To be clear and put things in perspective, never forget that the Constitution and Bill of Rights does not give government “rights”. They guarantee the rights that every American is born with. The Constitution and Bill Of Rights bestow obligations upon the government to protect those rights. The reason that our republic is in so much trouble is because government believes it has rights.

Time to go as I don’t want to ruin my weekend thinking about this asshole who is no more than a puppet for the likes of George Soros and other globalists. Think for yourself, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. God Bless

TGIF

Man, thank God it is Friday, and we mean it! Been a long week. Hell, been a long year and we’re only in April. Ty’s in Denver, Jag is almost through with Hell Week and the sun is coming. Looking outside it looks warm. It’s going to be a nice weekend with the next three days of temps in the 70’s. About time.

Lori has a doctor appointment today and I might need to run down to Denver to drop off a bunch of stuff that I’m selling. We are going down tomorrow so hopefully it can wait.

I’m really trying to skip politics but it’s out of control. The Dems want Washington D.C. to become a State even when the Constitution says it shouldn’t be, (even though the dems say it doesn’t say that), they’re pushing gun laws everywhere even though they don’t work, they want to mandate vaccines at colleges, and schools are pushing classes that tell all white kids they’re subconsciously racists. Thankfully parents and students are finally pushing back. All the Dems care about is control. By the way, Colorado proposed an assault rifle ban last night. We’re run by all dems right now here so this will probably pass meaning no more sales. Everyone that owns one is ok though as they’re grandfathered in but it’s only the first step. We as a Country just need to hold on to 2022 when the next elections are. Hopefully Joe doesn’t start a war with China or Russia before then. We’re supposedly upset over Taiwan and the Ukraine which is like China or Russia sticking their nose in us having a dispute with Puerto Rico. None of our business. Hold on, things are going to get bumpy. Thank God we live in the west and in the mountains.

That’s it, enjoy the weather, God Bless.

Getting close

It’s almost the weekend. Man we need a break, again. Seems like we work and work and always are running out of time. Jag has two more nights at the frat and Ty wants a ride to Silverthorne this afternoon to meet Preston so he can go to Denver until Saturday. Jag had a big exam yesterday and of course scored 100.

We’re going to the gym in an hour and then I have a monthly management call at 10. Lori works from home today and it’s warming up. We might plant some flowers this weekend. I’d like to plant a small garden but you have to deer proof it if you do meaning build a mini fence around it or they’ll eat it up in a matter of minutes.

Harley is doing well but is a lot more demanding than Mojo. Can’t believe Mojo is still able to walk. His back legs are so thin and skinny but he keeps managing to get up and down every day. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer to get up.

Time to get moving. Be well, God Bless.

Blah

Sometimes the days seem to run into each other with everyone being a challenge in some way. Yesterday was one of those when we found out that CU didn’t process students payment plans for some reason for the past few months and we needed to pay $15,000 with no notice. So after deliberation we put it on the United Card to get the miles. It never stops. Jag is having to live at the frat all week which is part of Hell Week. Not fun for him as the frat is gross from what we understand. Two more nights and I think he’s done with initiation.

No snow up here, just nice sunny cool days with temps in the 40’s and 50’s. Lori works in Vail today and I’m trying to stay ahead of the changes in the alcohol business. Lots to do.

Hope everyone is well, not much else to say. Could go into politics but it’s all a joke and I’m tired of it so we’ll pass. Be well, stay safe and God Bless.

Harley’s home

About 9:30 last night Jennifer pulled in the driveway to drop off Harley. Yesterday she flew to Utah to drive her back and left around 3:30. Harley must have slept the entire drive as she was wound up like a spinning top when she arrived home. She was obviously super excited to be home. Well take her to town today for a walk.

No snow up here at all. Denver and Boulder look like they were hit pretty well with 8 inches in Boulder. Glad it missed us, whoo hoo. It’s nice outside like a nice Spring day. Lori is in Vail today. That’s better than driving to Frisco. The x-ray machine over there is down.

Jag is in the middle of Hell Week at school for his fraternity. His dorm is a little strange right now as a kid jumped to his death from his dorm room window on Sunday afternoon. Not sure why that didn’t make the news. I guess they can suppress things they don’t want us to see. Anyhow how sad for a kid to take his life with only a few weeks of school to go. Things are so tough for the kids right now. You can’t assume anyone is ok and everything is normal during these times. We ask both boys all the time how they’re doing and try to be a bit more flexible in letting them do what they want to do as life is not normal right now and it’s really hard being a kid. We feel so bad for the kids family.

Looks like a little rain on and off over the next couple days before it warms up. Not sure if Ty is still going camping this weekend as Sonny doesn’t get back from Florida until Sunday. We’ll do something fun though, maybe he and I will go fly fishing or shooting.

That’s it, time to get moving, make it a great day and God Bless.

Coming home

Today Harley comes home! It’s a couple days before we thought but all good as Lori works Tuesday and Wednesday and we’d rather have her home on a day when we’re all here. We’re excited.

Jag and Katie left around 3:30. We all had a nice time. It’s nice up here now and looking at the map, we might miss the incoming snow. That’d be nice! Ty and Sonny made it home around 7. I guess it wasn’t as fun as they thought it’d be. Jack’s mom and dad recently separated and we think Jack is having a hard time dealing with it. Lots of kids are having a hard time with lots of things due to their World being turned upside down. It could be the whole lockdown thing or no school, no one except the person going through the problem really knows. We’ve been conditioned as a society to keep things to ourselves so no one reaches out for help. That’s too bad as most everyone has some family somewhere that cares, whether they know it or not.

I have a 9am conference call and then a few more. Lori will be working as always. Ty is off all week and will probably head to the skate park. That’s it, mid-April, May flowers will soon be here with all these April showers. Warm this coming weekend, whoo hoo, God Bless.

Sunny

Nice and sunny outside, but still a little cool. No matter, the sun is nice and warm and changes even the coldest day into a nice one.

Last night Ty and Sonny went to Denver to spend the night at Jacks. They’ll be driving up today as Sonny leaves for Florida tonight for hockey. Jag, Katie, Lori and I went to dinner down at The Assembly which is right here in Eagle Ranch. It was fun and the food was good.

Lori and I then watched a movie while the kids hung out upstairs. They did come down to make some orange, strawberry, margarita mix and vodka fruity drink. We watched them and it was pretty funny. They mixed up everything in the blender and then Jag tried it and handed a taste to Katie who kind of shrugged her shoulders in semi-approval. In the end after adding a bit more fruit and then some more mix they arrived at a suitable concoction. It was sort of like watching them do a school science experiment. I think they’re headed down today but am not sure. Katie is home in Littleton as CSU stopped in person learning after Spring Break but Jag has three more weeks. Ty is off all of next week with his Spring Break. He and his buddies want to go camping and I think we’ll rent one of the cabins up the road at Sylvan Lake State Park for next weekend.

Lori finally found an entry way table for the house. It’s long and thin and goes against the wall when you walk in the front door. It has a hammered copper top and a simple case hardened metal frame. We still need a few things but no hurry, one piece at a time every few months as we find them. That way we can afford it too.

Think we’re headed to the gym or maybe just for a long walk around here. Anyhow that’s it, go pick up a new book today! You’ll be amazed how easy it is to get lost in a good book. It’s a nice change or distraction from all the crap going on. I’m finishing my fifth new book in the next day or two over the last month. Just a suggestion, God Bless.

All home

Jag and Katie made it up around 5:30 last night. She’s a sweet girl even though she’s a Ram as she goes to CSU, CU’s arch rival. Apparently her older sister who is a Junior at CU met Jag and when she found out he was a freshman, she gave him her sisters Snapchat. That’s how they met. Guess they (Jag and Katie) have been trying to hook her little sister Emily, up with Ty. Social media at it’s best.

Lori and I worked out and then she went to the office while I had a call with our bankers. Then we, or mostly Lori, cleaned up around here.

This morning we slept in until after 7 and will head to the gym. Not sure what all the kids are doing today. Lori and I are going to do something fun today. We need a break from all the work, travel and stress we’ve been dealing with. We could just watch movies all day but there are no good movies on. Besides that wouldn’t be very fun. So, we’ll let you know tomorrow what we did. Make it a great day and God Bless.
