The U.S. Constitution, 9/11, more rain and more rain

Last night the Constitution won here in Colorado. Despite 10 times the money from back east, Bill Clinton and the democrats spin and lies, 2 Colorado senators were kicked out of office in historical recall elections. One was the President of the Senate and the other a senator who also voted against the will of the voters and passed unconstitutional gun laws. Now I won’t spend the entire morning on this, but this is a big deal. Washington was watching this closely and doing everything they could to prevent this from happening. Turns out that even in districts where there are a majority of democratic voters registered, the democratic senators couldn’t hold onto their jobs. This will be a warning shot to all those across the country who chose to listen to and go along with Washington and Obama rather than listen to what their constituents want. I’m very happy.

Meanwhile across the country, Anthony “let me show you my” Weiner, and Elliot “I like hookers” Spitzer were both also defeated. Looks like the people of our country are not as dumb as some politicians assume they are.

Finally today is the anniversary of 9/11. Hopefully our country will never have a day like that again. Meanwhile the administration is trying to now take credit for a potential solution to Syria that was basically a sarcastic statement by the Secretary of State that the Russians turned into a possible solution. This administration has no clue what the hell they’re doing. I’m sorry but it’s just a joke and they’re turning our country into a joke.  Oh well, maybe we can recall them too!

Here’s two comments,

  1. Annette says:

Way to go boys, very proud of you both! Christmas ornaments I thought we couldn’t do that anymore not pc!

  2. Robi says:

Good job Jag and Ty, keep up the good work!!!

Yes the boys are doing great. Ty had lacrosse last night and is off to a great start. The big school dance is this Friday and the misses is frantically trying to get everything picked up and set up. She sure has done a lot of work on this.

It rained again and is supposed to come down even heavier today. The ground is so soaked that it’s running off pretty fast. Thankfully I have no water in the basement as many around here do. Hope that continues.

It’s now 4:30 and time for me to head to the gym. I have to call London on the way so I’d better get moving. Take care and God Bless but first, check this out,

    ObamaHollywood2

The President, as expected, has back-peddled on his threats to attack Syria. After immense pressure from thousands of calls by concerned Americans to their Congressional representatives, threats of retaliation from Russia, and a total lack of credible evidence having been presented for the case to go to war in another middle eastern country, President Obama buckled.

For now, the world has been spared another conflagration and one that could have spread very quickly and involved the globe’s most power nations in conflict.

Once the American people realized that the pretext for war in Syria was eerily similar to that of the weapons of mass destruction claims which led to a decade’s long war in Iraq, Obama was left without any real support on the domestic front or the international community.

His policy in the middle east has been a laughing stock, and it has left the world wondering if the President of the United States has any clue as to what’s really going on around him.

    Peggy Noonan explains:

    His plan was never good.

The choices were never good. In any case he was going to lose either in terms of domestic prestige, the foreign result or both. Likely both.

He got himself into it and now Vladimir Putin, who opposes U.S. policy in Syria and repeatedly opposed a strike, is getting him out. This would be coldly satisfying for Putin and no doubt personally galling for Obama—another reason he can’t look as if he’s lunging.

A serious foreign-policy intellectual said recently that Putin’s problem is that he’s a Russian leader in search of a Nixon, a U.S. president he can really negotiate with, a stone player who can talk grand strategy and the needs of his nation, someone with whom he can thrash it through and work it out.

Instead he has Obama, a self-besotted charismatic who can’t tell the difference between showbiz and strategy, and who enjoys unburdening himself of moral insights to his peers.

This may well be one of the most embarrassing foreign policy gaffes in American Presidential history.

Moreover, it almost threw the entire planet into a World War.

And why? Because as Obama noted in his speech this evening, “we know the Assad regime was responsible.”

“That’s my judgment as Commander-in-Chief,” he said, even though the U.S.government presented no irrefutable evidence that proved Assad had anything to do with it. However,  hundreds of pages and videos of Syrian rebels being responsible for the attack surfaced over the last couple of weeks, including an extensive report directly sanctioned by Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

It’s not over yet, however, and we may well see this situation come to a head in the future. Iran is still in the process of manufacturing nuclear weapons and that bridge will be crossed soon enough.

We’ll refrain from quoting any more of the President’s speech (which can be read herein its entirety), because, as most of our readers know, he is full of it.

The late George Carlin broke it down succinctly.

I have certain rules I live by.

My first rule – I don’t believe anything the government tells me.

    …

The media and the press… are nothing more than unpaid employees of the Department of Defense, and who most of the time function as kind of an unofficial public relations agency for the United States government.

The worst thing about all this is that President Obama probably thinks he saved the world and deserves another Nobel Peace Prize.

And the sky opened up

Yesterday afternoon we were supposed to get some rain but what actually happened was never forecasted. It started with heavy big drops of rain for about a minute and then the hail or should I say, ice pellets, began. It lasted for about 30 or 40 minutes and when it was over, we had 3 or 4 inches of ice balls all over. It shredded the trees and plants so everything in our front yard smelled like mint from ripping through our mint plants. I had to get my snow shovel and shovel ice away from the foundation of the house and the front walk and sidewalk. Later I had to go to Grandma’s to shovel her walk too. It was like Spring weather in Fall, and more is supposed to come today.

Now to politics, today we have 2 recall elections to oust two democratic law makers who voted to take our gun rights away last year. The people of the state have contributed about $500,000 to this effort while Mayor Bloomberg from New York and the democratic party have contributed $3,000,000! They even have Bill Clinton doing robo calls trying to get people to vote no but the turnout so far indicates these losers will be kicked out of office. You never know though as it wouldn’t surprise me if the dems somehow rigged the results. Our brave (sarcastic) dem Governor is staying as far away from these two and their campaigns as he can. The people of Colorado are mad as hell as they should be. Hopefully the dems from back east won’t be able to buy this election with their money and lies, we’ll see.

Today is picture day at school and this year we will get some to send to you all. Jag made Student Council as he was voted in by his classmates yesterday. He also had all A’s on his work last week. Meanwhile Ty has been recognized as the top student in his class so far this year for leadership among his classmates. We’re very proud of both boys.

Tonight Obomber will pitch the Nation on bombing Syria. His main argument is that we need to send a message to Iran and others saying if we don’t act, we’ll look weak. Personally I think it’s irrelevant as Syria didn’t attack us. If Iran or someone attacked us, then I’d be all for retaliating, but they haven’t. They also killed over 100,000 of their own people in the past two years but now all of a sudden we’re supposed to attack? It seems as if they want to go to war to distract us from all the issues here at home. Hell, John Kerry even said yesterday we wouldn’t attack if they would put all their weapons under U.N. control but when the Syrians said ok, he said “that was only a retorical statement” and he wasn’t serious, what? Let me get this straight,

  • Kerry to Syria: Turn over your chemical weapons!
  • Syria to Kerry: Ok
  • Kerry to Syria: I was being rhetorical. We will just bomb you anyway, as soon as we are done gassing you.

Or how about this one,

Monday Humor: White House Selling “Peace On Earth” Xmas Ornaments

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/09/2013 – 19:24

As Nobel Peace Prize-winning President Obama prepares to give his “Syria Strike” speech tomorrow, we thought the fact that The White House had begun selling its ‘official’ Christmas 2013 ornament was worth pointing out. The theme – “Peace On Earth” of course, is positioned in a wrath of olive branches, peace doves and the reverse of the wonderful tree decoration states in oh-so-ironic-language, “Peace must be planted upon the tested foundations of political liberty,” – a phrase from Woodrow Wilson’s address prior to World War I. Happy Holidays everyone…

And back to Syria, don’t forget, these rebels, Obomber wants to support, are blowing up Christian churches and threatening beheading if the Christians don’t convert to Islam, yeah, let’s support them, hmmmm.

So God Bless

Thanks Annette

We can always count on Annette to comment, I’m sure she far and away leads all of you in that department! Thanks,

Annette says:

I was going to comment about the football player droping the ball before he was in the end zone but I was being nice. The rest of the game was a good one. I hope ours is as good today. I cleanned house all day now my feet hurt and my legs hurt, oh hell everything hurts so I’m resting today. Hope you guys are feeling better. What are the Japanese saying?

I missed the second half of the 49r Packer game but it looked like a good one. I feel bad for the Packers as this is the second year in a row they lost a game due to the refs blowing a call. It’s funny as half of you cheer for San Francisco while the other half (my Mom in particular) root for the Packers. I was at baseball with Jag from 4:30 until 7.

As far as the Japanese, we’re not sure what they’re saying as we don’t speak or read Japanese! Today the heat wave ends. The temps will drop 20 degrees and the rain will come around noon. Its supposed to last for the next 7 days and then stop but we’ll see.

Mom’s making french toast for breakfast , yum. Guess I’ll run as I have lots to do today also. The rest of the month is busy but I think we’ll go camping the first weekend of October as the mosquitos should be gone by then. We love fall and love cooking in our cast iron dutch ovens over the fire. The misses makes a mean peach cobbler over the fire.

Jag is up early with us as he starts inter murals this morning. Time to get him fed and moving and I hear the younger guy moving around too. 6:15 and we’re all up. Say a prayer that Obomber doesn’t well, you know, bomb anyone today. Take care and God Bless.

That’s right, that’s how many comments I have in the past 2 months and less than 20 are from you! Yes you, those that we know, where the hell are you? Seems we’re much more popular with the Japanese than our own family.

Anyhow, assuming you are still reading these days, yesterday we mostly laid around trying to kick these colds. That’s it, there you have it, that’s all I got, zip, nada, nothing,

God Bless

Still fighting

Our colds or whatever they are, are still hanging on. The only good news is that hopefully we’re getting our bout with the flu or whatever you call this, out of the way now rather than later. Going to the game and getting virtually no sleep didn’t help me but it was worth it!

Jen came home after school with Jag and was here until around 6pm. She spent the past two days after school with us as her Mom was working. Meanwhile Ty went to a friends house to play, of course.

Today we’ll take it easy, we might run out to the new Cabela’s as we have not been there yet and they sent us a coupon that expires tomorrow. Jag has a baseball game tomorrow at 5pm and we’re hoping it’ll be a little cooler at that time. We’re breaking records day after day and today is no different. It’s been between 95 and 100 degrees every day for sometime now. Next week it’s supposed to drop 20 degrees and rain for a few days which will be nice.

Next week we’re having new garage doors installed, finally. We’re slowly making progress around here as our patio was finished yesterday, we have our new microwave in, garage doors next week, new shutters on the way and then I think the back patio is next. After that, carpet in the basement and then who knows what. We have to seal up some of the cracks around the doors before winter hits as the Farmer’s Almanac says it’ll be bitter cold this year. Money and more money is all it takes, if anyone has any extra, send it on over!

That’s it, no politics as I’m just tired of it. Take care and God Bless.

Late but great!

Yesterday was consumed by getting ready and amped up for the game. Nothing else really mattered. Finally we arrived at the stadium by 5:15 but were missing one guy (Chip) who was still on a plane. Luckily he made it to his seat just in time for the scheduled kickoff and then the wait began. Seems there was lightening in the area but all we saw, and felt, was rain. 20 minutes later the game started. It rained most of the first half before it stopped and then we blew the game open. You should have been there, it was one for the ages. We made it home around 11:15 and watched highlights until midnight reliving one of the sweetest games ever.

Today though, it’s back to work. It’s 6:30 now and I’m off to the airport now to take the boys so they can catch their plane back to Seattle. Perhaps the misses will write some more when she wakes up. God Bless.

The Big Game

It’s here and I’ve been waiting something like 225 days for tonight, our chance for revenge. I remember staying up until 3am in Italy watching the Ravens squeak out a cheap impossible win against our beloved Denver Broncos. God just had something else in mind for me and them that day as there is no way we should have lost. Sure hope he’s on our side tonight.

Robi says:

Enjoy the game, wish I was there! You will be better by then, make yourself a real strong cocktail, that always works – hehe! I am already searching around to get my flu shot. I want a free one, got won last year but I bet it cost the $30.00 I saved on the shot while I was driving around looking for one. Oh well, I didn’t get sick. GO BRONCOS!!!!!

I took some cold medicine last night and feel a bit better as I’m in the coughing up stuff stage right now. I have a huge ganglion cyst on my foot that I’m going to try to get lanced this morning. I’ve had them before, they’re just big bumps filled with fluid from trauma which happens to me when I lift too much weight at the gym. Apparently heavy weights puts too much stress on my left foot. It doesn’t help that I usually put all my weight on my left foot to protect my knee. I also had a physical the other day and am happy to report my blood pressure is below normal and so is my cholesterol so the doc even took me off lipitor. I never wanted to take that stuff in the first place and according to the new doc, he’s not sure I ever needed it. Good riddance to my PA (physicians assistant) who has been our so called doctor for 10 years or so. I figured out that everything the misses and I were prescribed were things he was on! Anyhow in short, I appear to be pretty darn healthy.

Now to Obomber, did anyone see him saying yesterday when asked by a reporter about when he said “our red line is if Syria uses chemical weapons”. Well he had the balls to say “it’s not my red line, it’s the World and Congress’s red line” or in other words, he said he never said what he said. I don’t know why I’m surprised, he does this all the time, says something and then when it doesn’t work out, says he didn’t say it, unbelievable. Personally this time I agree with Sarah Palin, “let Allah work it out”. The problem here is we could be setting off a firestorm. What if Russia and/or Iran come to Syria’s aid and escalate this whole thing? I too am appalled by the use of chemical weapons but this guys killed over 100,000 people in the past 2 years! So the question is why now? We can’t get involved in every single conflict in this crazy World. Syria has no direct affect on us at all. Where is Britain or all the other countries? How come we have to go alone? It’s because Obomber shot off his big mouth and now wants to save face. Wow, the World might go to war, like WWIII because he spoke without thinking. Hold on to your hats, this could get ugly.

A lady at the misses work who is a PHD is planning on moving to Scotland in January. She says she’s through watching our rights slowly being stripped away. Now we’re not planning on moving to Scotland (but we do want to visit!) but we’d love to get up to the mountains. Wild times we live in.

Today Josh and Chip fly in for the game. We’re all excited to go tonight. Tickets are going for $1300 and up from scalpers, wow! So time to run to see if I can get my foot taken care of. Take care, wear orange, cheer for the Broncos and God Bless.

Stay Away

We might just have the flu so stay away! I too am on antibiotics now but not feeling a whole lot better. On top of that, I have the big game tomorrow and will be going no matter how I feel. Jag and I are going with Josh and Chip who are flying in from Seattle plus it’s the kickoff of the NFL 2014 season so no way I’ll be missing it. I hope these antibiotics do their thing fast!

Both boys are still coughing up junk as well and the misses seems to have the worst of it. She was at the office for a few hours and I lived on the phone for most all of the day. The boys each went to their math coach after school to stay ahead of the game and then rode their bikes for a bit before heading to bed around 8pm. I did manage to go shopping and vacuum but that was it.

Hope everyone is well, take care, get your flu shot and wash your hands, a bunch! God Bless.

A short week

Tuesday is Monday or Monday is Tuesday, however you look at it, it’s a short week. Last night we met some friends from Aspen for dinner at Benihana for a quick bite before arriving home around 7pm. The misses is still hurting as is the rest of the household. Hopefully we’ll all be better soon.

The boys walked with Mom to school this morning while I drove down 10 minutes behind them with their backpacks and to pick up the misses. Today she’s at the office at 11am for a few hours while I have 5 consecutive conference calls that start at 11am. I should be done by 4pm. Lucky I have speaker phone!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and is doing well, time to run, take care and have a good week. God Bless.

Still sick

What fun, we’re all still fighting our colds but somehow the boys just ignore it. They must not have it quite as bad as the misses and I. In fact, I think the misses has the worst of it. When she’s in bed for most of the day, you know she’s not doing well. Hopefully this morning she’ll be a little better.

The boys went to spend the night at Ben’s last night until a bit after 11pm when we received a call for them to come home. We all forgot that Jag is allergic to their cats and so both kids walked across the street sometime between 11 and midnight. I heard the phone call but the misses was the one that got up.

Lacey is in the crate right now as she has been barking for an hour or so for me to get up so she can eat. It’s one thing if she wants to go out but when she’s just barking to eat, I’m not going to feed or reward her bad behavior.

Not sure what all is going on today, it’s supposed to rain a bit which will be nice. I need to finish cleaning up my office a bit as I have a busy couple of weeks.

That’s it, time to run, happy Labor Day.
