Off to Denver this morning. My meeting tomorrow was cancelled so I’m heading down now between snow storms. Two days ago I started a round of six days of steroids. My dizziness is pretty much gone meaning hopefully my ear infection was the root cause, but I am up 4 pounds, UGH! Steroids do that. It’s my third day and the dosage tapers off, so today and tomorrow I take 2 pills (had been taking 3 pills for the past two days) and then Friday and Saturday 1 pill and then am done. I’d better watch what I eat.
Lori is in Frisco today so she’s driving over the Pass too. Ty has one more final and I think Jag is done today too. For Christmas, although it’ll arrive late, I have the guy in England who made Keith Richards handcuff bracelet that he’s worn for decades, making each of the boys one! Going to be super cool. Can’t wait.

Lots of roads closed around the State, mostly east of Denver. I-70 is shut down between Avon and Wolcott but I think it’s going westbound. Here at the house, no snow, whoo hoo! Hope it stays that way. It would be nice to dodge this round.
Tom broke the 230 pound barrier as yesterday he hit 229! Super happy for him. We need to rethink any clothes we bought him for Christmas or his birthday.
Ty had his two toughest finals yesterday and has one more today and one tomorrow and then is done. I think Jag finishes up by tomorrow too. They’ll both be up this weekend.
I need to wrap presents for Lori today. It’s easy to tell which presents are hers as all the others are wrapped really nice. Twelve days until Christmas, the countdown is on.

Yesterday we made it down to Denver by about 11:30. Two hours later we headed home. We found a few things for the boys, (clothes) and did some grocery shopping. So the fridge is full and presents are under the tree.
The storm coming tonight is probably the biggest of the year. The whole valley will be in it for about 48 hours. I told Lori she probably won’t make it to Frisco Wednesday and most likely a lot of her patients won’t either.
The Bronco’s showed up big time yesterday. We didn’t win but we gave a great effort and probably played the best we played all year. Before the game I actually thought we had a chance to win, and we did. Just didn’t turn out that way in the end.
I have a PT appointment this afternoon. Had a good weekend but was a little dizzy last night. Think I was watching too much tv. We both had a good nights sleep and slept in until 7:30. I have my Monday morning call at 9 so time to get moving.
This morning around 9:30 Lori and I are off to Denver. First though, she’s headed to Glenwood for a 7:45am hair appointment. Today will be the nicest day of the next 7 so we need to take advantage of it while we can. Starting tomorrow through Wednesday night, the snow will be coming down heavy.
Yesterday Greg and Jay, Dixie’s nephew and wife, came up to visit her for a couple hours. They stopped by here on their way home to visit and Lori gave them some family things from all the stuff she brought out from Dixie’s house. They had requested the old cast iron, some wood carvings by Dixie’s brother and she gave them some photo’s and other memorabilia. Lori and I did make the gym in the morning and after a Costco trip, hung out at home the rest of the day.
Lori wrapped some presents while I boxed up some things going back Fed Ex tomorrow. Two weeks from today is Christmas! Won’t be long now.
Jag and Ty went to Tommy’s for lunch and he let the boys go through his old albums and take what they want! Super fun. Glad they all got to hang out. The boys love Uncle Tom and he loves them too. Glad they’re both close to him.
Two great games yesterday and more are on today. We’re headed to the gym and then need to get some groceries as the cupboards are bare. Well, they’re not really bare, but the refrigerator is pretty empty. One week until the boys are home. We’re looking forward to it.
I’m cancelling my California trip. I need to make sure I get rid of this crap. I’m doing well as I only had one moment where I was dizzy yesterday. So crazy. My PT girl told me this is the season and she had three other people coming in yesterday for the same thing. Change of season, diet, stress and other factors all enter into it. It’s no fun, that’s all I know. Wonder if I can get some reparations from the govt. for causing this?
We were thinking we might go to Denver but am not sure if we’ll get it together today. Tuesday they say we’re getting over a foot of snow up here and Denver is getting the white stuff too. Going to be a cold snowy week.
Harley’s foot seems all better. Maybe she cut her pad on some ice. We need to go through all the Christmas presents we do have and organize them and get them wrapped and under the tree. We’re doing all practical gifts this year. That means clothes and stuff we all actually use. Money is too tight.

Today’s is dad’s birthday. Hard to believe it’s been over 12 years that he’s been gone. He would have been 94 years old today. We all sure miss him and the World was definitely a better place with him than without. I often wonder what he’d think of the World today and what advice he’d have for me. He might be the smartest person I’ve ever known and that’s saying something. I’m sure he’s sitting on a porch in Heaven reading a book, we love you dad, RIP.
Today I have , hopefully, my last PT appointment. I’ve been getting better every day, knock on wood. Last night we all had fun at cigar night. James gave each of us a box of the new M81 Metallica cigars. They went on sale nationwide December 1st and sure are good. We all had a hand in their development as we’ve been trying different blends for about two years. I’m sure they’ll be a success.
Lori and I might run down to Denver tomorrow. I have a 9am call today that goes for 2 or 3 hours and then another at 2 this afternoon. We need to get on this Christmas shopping thing as we’re running out of time.
There was a stabbing at Ty’s dorm the other night and a bunch of gang members on the 16th Street Mall. Ty said there must have been 30 or 40. He’ll be submitting for a transfer at the first of the year. Hopefully he’ll get into Boulder where his brother is. Denver is just not all that safe anymore. Too bad as it’s a good school and he’s doing really well. His dorm complex is huge with hundreds of kids so it was nowhere near him, but still, not good.
No snow last night. More headed this way next Tuesday, the day I’m scheduled to fly out to San Francisco. I think I’ll skip this trip to make sure I stay on the mend.

Last night it was blowing and snowing. I was headed to Denver today but that’s not going to happen. We must have 3 or 4 inches here meaning the Pass has maybe a foot! Oh well, maybe Saturday. Looks like 50 degrees down in Denver. Next week is supposed to be snowier and colder all over.
I have PT this morning at 7:20 which is in an hour. I feel really good, knock on wood, and think I’m 95% or more back. Hopefully I’ll be 100% by tomorrow as I’m tired of this crap.
Lori works from home today and so will I. Harley’s foot seems better. I hope everyone is doing well.
Things are still tough out there. We’re not out of the woods yet. 2023 is going to be a rough year by all accounts. Don’t get complacent and fall into the trap of the new normal. That’s what they want you to do.
I’d better go as I need to shovel, shower and get to PT all in 50 minutes. I won’t get the whole driveway shoveled before I go but will get a good start on it. Make it a great day! God Bless.
In ten days, Jagger turns 21 years old, wow. What a special birthday. Not sure what to get him. We need to find him something that means something. Thought about a watch but he has one. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Ty’s birthday is 40 days from today! He’ll be 19. Not quite the same as 21 but still another milestone. Both boys are in the throws of finals. I think Jag is done on the 14th and Ty at the end of next week.
Lori is working in Vail today and I have a conference call at 10. We’re on a mission to find a beach to go to. We need it bad, really bad. Harley had a slight limp last night and we couldn’t figure out what it was. This morning she’s almost all well. I’ll keep an eye on her today.
My meeting tomorrow in Denver is postponed as my rep is ill. I’ll probably still go down as I have some other things to do that I scheduled around that appointment. I have a 7:20am PT appointment and then will head down. I feel a lot better today. Last night I took some melatonin to help me sleep. I still had vivid dreams but think I slept better. I think I’m on the mend as everyday I feel better.
Ty went to the Nuggets game last night and we lost by 1 point. I didn’t stay up to watch it due to the aforementioned melatonin. It’s 6:11 right now so time to get going. Hope everyone is well. 18 days until Christmas! The countdown is on, God Bless.
Relax, it’s not me, although I wish it was. Instead it’s Tom. Yesterday he came home with a 2021 BMW M3 Competition. This car is bad ass! He fits well in it and now has a truck for winter driving and the BMW for the rest of the time. I hope to be in Denver Thursday, weather permitting, and will see it then. Congrats to him, super cool.
I’m back at PT this morning although I’m pretty much fixed. I think I tend to get out of whack when I sleep as I move around too much and just don’t sleep well. Seems like I’m always thinking rather than sleeping. As long as I’m getting better, I can’t complain. I’m not going to Aspen today and with the snow, that’s a good thing. Not sure if I’ll do Vail tomorrow, we’ll see.
I need to shovel a bit so I’d better get moving. Lots going on. We also need to get on Christmas. Of course it’s not about presents, but I do like giving them. It’s fun to surprise people with things they’d never buy for themselves or give someone something when they’re not expecting anything! As you get older, giving is better than getting.

Yesterday we just hung out. Kind of a good nothing day. Still trying to recoup. I feel better today and have another PT appointment at 8 this morning. They say snow tonight, we’ll see. I think Steamboat is going to get hammered. Right now there’s a bunch of avalanche warnings all around. Looks like we’re in the 40’s all week long.
Boys are well and busy. Only a couple weeks of school left this semester. Jag’s 21st birthday is in 12 days, Tommy’s in 2 weeks and mine 10 days after that.
I’m supposed to go to Aspen tomorrow but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. They’re going to get snow too which would make things more difficult.
