You can really tell how much pollen is in the air when you have a black car sitting in the driveway. The yellow pollen covers the car with a layer of dust within minutes. Jagger woke up at 3am sneezing and coughing as his window was open so we got up and gave him some Benedryl. Of course then it took me a good hour, or more, to fall back asleep.
Tonight we have have baseball practice. The coach sent out an email asking for help to which I’ll gladly respond. Some kids need individual help and he just can’t do it all. I won’t go into all the replies but one parent, whose son might be the worst on the team, wrote an email saying our kids just are not as mature or skilled as the other teams and we need to understand and be ok with that. I just about blew my top off, first of all, all the teams we play, the kids are the same age, second they’re all the same skill level so this “we’re not as good” crap as an excuse is just bull. Now I would agree his kid isn’t as good but that has nothing to do with the rest of our team. On top of it, this parent thinks he’s a coach and filled in Monday night when out assistant coach was out of town! Another parent and I both think this guys an idiot so I’ll jump in just so this guy isn’t out there messing kids up! Oh yea, this guy tried to coach a team last year and wanted Jagger to play and even came to our house to lobby me (our kids go to the same school) and I told him no then, some people just don’t understand no means no!
At noon I’ll pick up Peggy and Helen from the airport. They’ll then head up to Aspen with my Ferrari, of wait, it’s not mine! I have lots of work to do as does Lori and do the boys. There’ only something like 15 days of school left and Jagger is gone for 4 of those on his trip next week. Summer is almost here.
Time to run, we over slept as it’s almost 7am. Hope all’s well, God Bless.
HAPPY 50TH LORI!
You and Serena look 10 yrs. younger than you are. Eat what you want!
As I said, I agree with Annette, Lori looks great! Ok, last night we had the 5th and 6th grade concert at school. Normally these are really good but last nights concert was just painful. It was with african drums, xylophones, and other instruments and none of it made sense. The only song that was any good at all out of the 1 hour 15 minute concert was the one from Jagger’s class. He and two other boys also performed solo songs on the tenor recorder which is like a flute. Here again, the other two boys struggled but Jag was fantastic! To throw in a little fun, he put on a bright green mustache and wore it throughout the whole show! He said he wanted to do a something a little crazy before it could get put in his permanent record. Too funny, he had lots of high fives from students and parents after the show! When he came up for his solo the music teacher said “wow, you grew a mustache, and I like it”!
Today we need to clean up around here and get ready for the weekend. Peggy from Aspen will be staying here tonight or tomorrow, we can’t remember. I have some errands today and Lori has work and Jagger has baseball practice tonight.
Time to run, lots to do, have a great weekend and God Bless.
