Day after

Lori had a nice birthday. Thanks for all the presents and birthday wishes, she appreciated it. Most of what I bought her we need to exchange but I did score with a huge Louis Vuitton shoulder bag for travel. Can’t go wrong with Louis Vuitton, ha. The day started with a massage and then after the cleaners left we went to see Dixie. After that we ended up at Adriana’s with her and James. There was a little emergency that Lori took care of and then we stopped and picked up crispy pork salads at a restaurant and headed home. We watched a little tv and then had a good nights sleep. She had a good day.

Today we’re around the house and then the Nuggets are on tonight. James and Adriana might come over if one of the boys will be home to keep an eye on Riley who had knee surgery last Monday. Tomorrow we’re off to Denver to see Ty and bring some stuff up from his dorm.

Right now we’re looking for Lori’s phone. It’s here somewhere but she can’t find it. Oh, we just found it in the couch. It’s sunny and a bit cool outside but no longer freezes at night. Things are getting nice and green up here which is a welcome sight.

Cinco de Mayo today. Great day if you like Mexican food and tequila. Have a great day and GB.

Happy Birthday Baby!

Today is Lori’s birthday! In case you forgot, ha. She’s 59 today so I’d better start planning next year now. This morning she’s going for a massage at the Westin and then will come home for some presents and fun stuff. More on her day tomorrow.

Yesterday I had to run down to Denver to go to the distributor. I stopped by Nordstroms and picked up one more present for Lori and then went over to Schultz’s house for a cigar while waiting to meet Toby who was driving back from Loveland. Around 1 I headed up the hill.

This afternoon I’ll drop Lori at Adriana’s around 5 and go meet the guys for our cigar group and then pick her up 90 minutes later when we finish. Robi and Robert sent a beautiful orchid. We’ll celebrate with Marty and Melanie on the weekend as Mel is kicking a cold.

That’s it, time to go, enjoy the day and May the 4th Be With You! God Bless.

One more day!

Lori’s birthday is tomorrow! Whoo hoo!

Yesterday not much happened. I worked out really hard at the gym and then headed home to shower and get ready for the day. Lori was working in Vail and today is in Frisco. I’m off to Denver to pick up some money from Toby and for a few other stops. Looks like it’ll be 80 degrees down there today.

Friday we’re back down getting the boys passports and loading up some of Ty’s stuff. Both boys better get their act together as they both need to decide how, what, when and where and just about everything else, they’re doing this summer. Both need jobs and will probably be in for a bit of a shock as home is no longer a hotel where they can do as they please and leave messes everywhere. Might be a little adjustment, ha.

Time to get moving as not much else going on. Biden is still mindless, members of Congress are crooks and lie to our faces, Trump needs to go away and won’t, and most people don’t seem to care. The media is full of people who don’t tell the truth and push propaganda which most people don’t question. We are flat out in trouble. Hoping the masses wise up before it’s too late. God Bless.

Tired

What a game last night! After hanging around for 3 quarters, we pulled away in the 4th for a 10 point win! Two more to go!

Earlier in the day after going to the gym, I headed down to Denver. After my stops I headed straight back and was home around 2:30. In the morning Adriana texted and wanted us to go to sushi with them. Knowing the game was on I said ok if early.

We met James, Adriana, the three kids and Riley’s boyfriend at 5:30. I wasn’t really hungry but ate anyhow. We ordered a ton of sushi! When we arrived James gave me a couple gifts he brought me back from Amsterdam. First was a couple boxes of really great cigars and second was this really cool meerschaum pipe. He bought us each one as I mentioned them when we were checking out this 200 year old cigar shop before he left. Neither of us have smoked a pipe before but who knows. We were joking now that were getting older, we might look good with one! Lots of details about their trip which was really cool but I’ll save that for another time.

After dinner we all went back to Addy’s house as she bought a cake for Lori. James and I smoked one of the cigars he brought me and they might have been the best cigar I’ve ever had in my life. He talked some guy into selling them as they were from 201o. When we made it back the Nuggets game was just starting. We were tired but stayed for the whole game putting us home around 11. Great game!

We’re off to the gym this morning even though we’re tired. James and Adriana want us to come over to Europe at the end of the month and hang out during his week off in Biarritz France which is a beautiful place on the coast. It’d be right after the Hamburg show, so we’ll see. We could go in and join the tour in Germany and then go down to the coast for a week. More to come as we need to decide quick.

It’s nice outside but they say maybe some afternoon showers. We’ll always take the rain. We turned our sprinklers on yesterday as it’s warming up. Time to go, have a great day, God Bless.

May Day

Looks like a nice week with temps close to 70 and afternoon showers. Clear blue sky outside right now. I was going to Denver but will put it off until Thursday morning. We went to Costco yesterday and bought the last four big flower baskets which hang out front from the steel beams. Lori also got some smaller ones for the two flower pots out back.

Lori made lasagna yesterday. She made an extra pan we dropped off for James and Adriana to have when they arrived home around 5 from Amsterdam. He texted they landed in Chicago around 1:30. From there they hopped a private plane so they could fly right into Eagle. Glad they made it home safe and had a good time.

The Av’s lost. I don’t understand the rules that well as we scored the tying goal and then they overturned the goal saying offsides way after we were supposedly offsides. I thought if we were offsides, which we were, they’d call it when it happened, not after they played on for a while. Oh well, we’ll be back next year.

Off to the gym this morning and then I’m cleaning out the garage a bit. We need to throw away Dixie’s broken furniture but Lori is having a hard time letting it go. We also need to book a trip at the end of the month as I managed to get the boys passport appointments this Friday. I had to buy two tickets to Mexico as the only way to get an in person immediate appointment is by having an international flight within 14 days. Our appointment is at 10am in Cherry Creek on the 5th.

That’s it, time to go. Have a great week and God Bless.

Sunny Sunday

Looking nice outside and the snow is melting fast. Yesterday I ran over to Aspen while Lori stayed home. The town was dead which it always is this time of year as soon as the mountain shuts down. The Nuggets game was on last night and we crushed Phoenix. Hopefully we’ll do the same thing tomorrow night. I’d like to see us sweep them but that’s unlikely. They’re too good.

Ty and his two buddies took a small plane and flew down to Pueblo yesterday afternoon for a late lunch. His friend has his pilots license. We were going to drive to Denver and pick Ty up today as one of his friends from high school (I talked about it a few weeks ago), who took his life, has his memorial service today. I don’t think we’re going to make it. It’s just too much driving and I’d almost need to be on the road already and then would need to repeat the drive tomorrow morning, plus Ty has lots of studying he has to do today with only two weeks of school left as well.

Lori’s birthday is next Thursday! She’ll be 59. James and Adriana are flying home today. Our buddy Clark who flew over for the show with his girlfriend, sent pictures from the show. Looked fun. Jag is studying away and Dixie is fine. Lori was down there a couple times yesterday. She seems to be hanging in there but is more and more confused each day.

Almost 7am now, think I’ll go to the gym or I might just take Harley for a long walk. Game 7 for the Avalanche tonight! Hope we win! May 1st tomorrow, get ready, God Bless.

Here’s a couple pictures from Amsterdam last night!

Game 7

Last night after we made it back from Denver, the hockey game was on and we won forcing a game 7 on Sunday. More on this later, but first, to the day.

We made it to Denver around 10 and headed to Tommy’s. He had Lori’s birthday present he wanted us to pick up. We hung out for a bit before going to Lori’s derm appointment. After that we headed to Cherry Creek to return some things to Nordstrom and Neiman’s before meeting Jagger for lunch. After lunch we stopped at this French bakery to pick some things up for Jagger, Adriana’s daughter, who’s a pastry chef, and us before heading home. Lots of driving but a good day.

Once home the NFL draft was on before the hockey game. I was texting Tom but no answer which was weird. Then I started calling, still no answer. I called and texted for about an hour and then was getting worried. Finally I called his neighbor and sent her over. She knocked and knocked with no luck so she went and got Kevin, his other neighbor. Finally after ringing the doorbell and knocking for a while, Tom answered. Looks like he had a big steak with sauteed onions and a couple of shots of tequila and fell asleep! So all’s well. I told him now he’ll have no problem staying up for the hockey game but that he gave us all a scare. Both boys were calling and texting him too. Have to be careful with tequila in the afternoon, ha. Jagger stopped by on the way home after lunch so they hung out for a bit.

Lori’s back is still out so I’ll probably go to the gym by myself. Today more NFL draft and the Nuggets are on at 6:30. Ty and his buddies are flying from Boulder to Pueblo in a plane as his buddy is a pilot. Looks like the snow is over as they say rain next week. Have a great sunny Saturday and God Bless.

One more trip

We’re off at 8:30 this morning headed back down the hill. Should be home by 3 or so. No snow up here and I think it’s done for the year. Bring on Spring.

Lori threw her back out at the gym, hmm. Might have her lay down in the back seat of the truck for the ride. We’re stopping by Tommy’s today and I think Jag is driving down for lunch with us around noon.

I was in and out of town by 10:30 yesterday and home by 1. Good meeting and worth the trip. Almost time to get moving.

First though, just when you thought it couldn’t get worse, shit is getting crazy. Our Governor is signing four new gun laws that’ll do nothing to stop any gun violence. They are so misguided that they do nothing to address mental illness. Not one shooting here would have been stopped by any of the laws he’s signing. You can thank all the dumbed down voters that vote democrat. Problem is, they actually think they’re doing the right thing. We need a serious wake up call before it’s too late. Might be too late already. Buckle down and prepare people, don’t get complacent.

God Bless and enjoy the weekend, 70 tomorrow!

Off early

Leaving at 6am for a 8:30 meeting in Cherry Creek. Then it’s off to Park Meadows before heading out west to meet a buddy before heading home. With luck, I’ll be home by 1 or 2.

Lori will be home with Harley and the house cleaners. Warm yesterday so everything melted. Boys are well, getting ready for finals.

Time to go, NFL draft tonight. Not that excited as we don’t pick until Friday.

Last, did you see Joe Biden and his cheat sheet yesterday? It had the picture of the reporter asking the question AND the actual question AND his answer! Are you kidding me? How in the hell is this guy President, God please help us!

God Bless.

All well

My meeting went great and was done in 90 minutes. It took about 10 minutes for our Uber to show up but miraculously I made it to the airport, through security and got a seat on the 11:40 am flight. Once in Denver I lucked out with a First Class seat to Vail putting me home at 2:20. Brian my neighbor, picked me up. That sure beats 8pm when I was schedule to arrive.

The Nuggets won a thriller last night after we played the worst we’ve played all series in the first half, maybe three quarters. In the end though, no one remembers how anyone wins, they always remember how you lose.

Lori is in Vail today and I’m headed to the gym before getting my day started. Right now Lori is fixing the alarm key pad which was beeping. She can fix anything.

No snow on the roads up here but maybe a half and inch on the grass. It was slushy and kept screwing up the tv reception last night. I had to go out and use my window washer broom to keep wiping the dish off for Direct TV. Think it’s all over now. It’s really warm out right now and there are about 50 elk slowly grazing across the field in front of the house.

There are some clouds hanging around but they’re mixed in with blue sky. Good to be home, we’ll see what happens next. Now that I know my schedule for May we’re going to book a trip to Hawaii I think. I’ll know more by Friday after we talk with the boys.

Biden says he’s running again! God help us. He also says he’s not doing any debates! Of course he’s not. If people fall for this crap again, we’re done. Hopefully someone new, younger and sane will come out of the Republican party. Unbelievable that in 2023 we have Biden running.

Hold on! God Bless.
