Fun in Denver

Yesterday after Lori’s marathon hair appointment (over 5 hours!) we hung out with our good friends Jeff and Tina before picking up Ty and heading up the hill. I did manage to get Jag 3 new pairs of pants and 3 shirts. Normally I don’t mention money but this cost about $700 as he wears adult clothes now. Unbelievable! There are only certain places I can buy him pants (not jeans) as he needs 29-34 or 29-36 size pants. Nordstrom is one of the few places that have pants that fit him. Lu Lu Lemon also has some long sizes but they’re not cheap either. Unfortunately I think he’s going to keep growing and will grow out of his pants quick. The good news is Ty is growing fast so he’ll probably grow into some of Jag’s clothes pretty fast. Oh well, what can you do.

Today we’re going to do a deep clean around here. We stopped at Bed Bath and Beyond to get a bunch of cleaning supplies. So time to go, hope all’s well, come on over and clean if you like, we could use the help, GB.

Nice Hotel

Yesterday after work, Lori, Ty and I drove to Denver for the night. We dropped Ty at his friend Jacks where he spent the night. Lori and I, with her bad back and all (she threw it out yesterday morning) headed down to Elways for dinner. I hadn’t been in for a while and it’s important that I patronize them every now and then as they buy a large amount of wine from me each year. After a nice dinner and visit with Adam, the wine director, we headed across the street to the JW Marriott where we checked in. I’m a Gold Elite member so they take care of me pretty well as I’ve been a loyal Marriott customer for years. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a gift certificate for food and once in our room, chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne were delivered.

Today Lori is getting her hair done and I’m running some errands. We’ll pick Ty up on our way out of town around noon or a bit after. We’ll also stop and see my Mom before heading up the hill. Jagger stayed home with Mojo and I think tonight we’re all going to the school play.

That’s about it, Oh, I did call my buddy who is a gold dealer yesterday and guess what, he was sold out! Not a good sign, even the public is starting to get a clue, get your you know what together people, signs are everywhere, God Bless.

TGIF

Thank God it’s Friday! Today three of us are off to Denver around 4:30 as Jag is staying home and going to a play at school. Both boys are doing well with all A’s and B’s with about 1o weeks until summer. Ty had climbing club last night after school. You should see that kid climb up a rock wall. Lori and I both have work although I’m going to try to take it easy today and clean up around here. We need a cleaning lady bad.

Everyone is sleeping except Mojo and me. It’s 5:50 and time to get them moving. It’s warm up here, like the mid 50’s to 60’s which is nice. We can still get snow but it’s definitely winding down. Time for some more coffee, have a great weekend, GB.

A New QB

Well our backup QB took the money and ran. I guess it really wasn’t all about the money as apparently he was pissed off he was replaced when he played bad and our coach put Peyton back in at the end of the season. Well, good riddance! In John Elway we trust.

More work today as usual, school too. I’m getting my teeth fixed in about a month. I’ve been wanting to do this for about 15 years as when I was a kid I had my front tooth basically knocked out and it’s been brown and dead ever since. My the end of May, I should have a new smile, whoo hoo.

Today I’m delivering some more samples to sales reps to pre sell wine for us. Lori has clinic and it’s supposed to warm up. I think we’re in Denver tomorrow night for dinner and will stay until Saturday morning, more on that later.

Time to run, Go Broncos! GB

A big win!

Not sure it’ll matter in the end, but Hillary the Criminal lost to Bernie in Michigan! All the polls had her up by 20 points but the people had another idea. I still think the establishment will make sure Hill wins the nomination but what a shocker!

Today we’re all back at it, work, school and work. I think we’re coming down Friday night to go to dinner at an account and then we’ll spend the night. Lori’s working away as am I. The kids are doing well at school and also busy. No new snow up here and it’s going to warm up. They say 70’s in Denver this weekend, whoo hoo.

Time to run as I need to box some wine, take care and God Bless.

Our new espresso maker

Wow, we love our new coffee/espresso maker! It makes coffee house coffee with the push of a button. What a great purchase but it sure makes strong coffee!

Yesterday Lori worked until 5pm and the boys were at school until 4. I wrapped up a lot of time sensitive work and sent out some overdue emails. Today I have a conference call from 9 to 11 and then a dentist appointment at 12:20. Ty has an orthodontist appointment after school and robotics club before that. I’ll need to get him a bit early for that.

It’s clinic day at the office for Lori so she leaves early this morning. Time to get the kids up and moving as they have to eat breakfast which they sometimes skip. Peyton Manning retired yesterday in a gracious ceremony that was really nice. One stupid reporter asked one question about some baseless allegations 20 years ago but other than that, it was a fitting end for a great player. Oh well, there’s always one idiot it seems everywhere you go. God Bless.

It’s snowing!

The sky looked pink from our bedroom window at 5:30am, however when I came downstairs I noticed it was snowing outside. There’s not a lot, maybe 2 or 3 inches, but it’s coming down pretty good. Oh well, that’s part of living in the mountains.

Today we’re all back at it. Lots going on as usual. Next week we’re really busy as Jag has his hut trip. Looks like the weekend is supposed to be nice. The mountain closes April 10th this year so we only have another month or so of skiing.

Peyton Manning is retiring today. What a great guy who did a great job in the 4 years he was here in Denver. Credit to John Elway too who made the decision to bring him here, Super Bowl Champs!

Coffee is done so time to go. We are getting a new espresso maker today. On AMazon, one of their deals of the day was our new coffee machine at 60% off! We couldn’t pass it up, whoo hoo.

God Bless

Super Sunday

It’s Sunday, nothing super about it except it’s nice outside and we don’t have to go to work. Yesterday we hung out after I made a quick trip to Oak Creek which is 24 miles this side of Steamboat. Lori took Mojo on a long walk while I was gone and the boys played with their friends and also hung out.

Today we’re all going to go do something as a family, maybe a hike. Looks like Bernie and Ted were the big winners last night instead of the criminal Hillary and outrageous Donald. What a joke this whole process is, it’s unbelievable isn’t it. We’re supposed to get a little snow tomorrow but not much. I was talking to a rancher buddy down south of Pueblo yesterday who said it wasn’t much of a winter and what snow they have is melting fast. We had good snow up here for skiing but it too is melting fast. I think winter is pretty much over but you never know as March is the snowiest month here in Colorado. Then the muddy season begins meaning 4 or 6 weeks of soggy ground while it all melts and soaks in.

That’s about it, guess I’ll run, have a great Sunday, March 6th, wow. God Bless.

The weekend

Finally the weekend is here, and it looks like I don’t have to fly anywhere next week, yea!

I made it back up just in time to pick Jag up from school. Ty was home with a stomach bug. Today I need to run to Oak Creek which is about half way to Steamboat. With a little luck, I should be back by 10:30. Lori couldn’t sleep last night so she came down on the couch which is where I found her this morning. Both boys of course are fast asleep. Lori and I are both super busy at work as usual. It just never seems to stop for either of us. At least we’re making progress every day. I  was going to try to stop and see my Mom yesterday but just didn’t have time. Hope she’s doing well. Lori talked to her Mom briefly as I think yesterday was Don’s birthday, we all miss him.

Guess I’ll get moving so I can be on the road by 8 or so. I had a good sales meeting yesterday. I might be going to Italy in a month but am hoping I don’t have to. Have a good relaxing weekend, which is what we are going to try to do! GB

Big D

I’m off early this morning for a sales meeting in Denver and then need to rush up the hill for a meeting up here. Same story, different day. Hopefully I have my timing all worked out as I don’t have a minute to spare. It’s been warm up here, I was in shorts yesterday after making it home. Lori worked until about 9pm and I managed to get the kitchen cleaned, some laundry done and vacuumed the downstairs. Today Ty has an ortho appointment at 3:50. That’s it folks, the crazy season is still here with politics, on one side you have a 70 year old female criminal and a 78 year old socialist and on the other side, a crazy reality tv personality and two cubans, God help us. I was telling my Mom, it’s like Junior High. Oh well, trust in God, he must be laughing lots, as is the rest of the World.
