Here we go

Four more nights until Christmas, wow. This morning though it’s off to Denver to get Lori to the airport and do a bunch of shopping. I-70 has huge delays so I need to time things just right.

Sarah left last night around 7 for Boulder and Preston and Gabe showed up and spent the night with Ty. Tonight the Christmas Star will be visible for the first time in over 800 years. Check your local conditions to see how to see it. Maybe it’s a sign from God that things are getting better.

Lori will be gone 48 hours or so and needs to get there to help her Mom. As my Mom always said, getting old is hell. Seems like a curse but is part of life.

Time to get moving, be well, safe and God Bless.

Vrooommm

I feel like a sports car. Racing up and down the highway daily always going somewhere to do something. Yesterday was Tom’s and a few other stops before heading back up. Tomorrow it’s the airport in Denver to take Lori and then on Wednesday, in snow of course, I’ll be going back to get her. Two days later it’s Christmas meaning back to Denver to Tom’s. I think you get my point.

Today will be a day of rest. I think. Tomorrow I’ll be in Denver all day as the highway coming home has two hour delays due to construction. This means I’ll need to wait until probably about 5pm until they quit work. Last night Lori, Jag, Sarah and I had dinner and then hung out. She’s a good smart girl. Ty went to Preston’s and we’ll get him this morning.

The sky is pink outside over the mountains. It’s a nice morning. Hope you all are well. Lot’s going on. Lori finished filming her pilot yesterday and was home about 5 pm. Guess it went really well. Now we wait and see if the network picks it up. Hope so, it’s a game changer.

God Bless.

Happy Birthday #2

Today Tom is 60! Welcome to the club! Lori and I were headed down to see him but she has to be at the hospital while they film for the tv pilot. She found out last night. Jag had his friends over last night after covid tests for everyone. They all dressed in outfits from a different decade. Jag set up beer pong or something like it in the garage. Ty stayed up in his room and Jaron, his buddy, spent the night. Sarah is staying here with us last night and tonight too. I think a couple other girls spent the night here too.

Lori was going to get the shot yesterday but by the time she decided to get it, someone else took her spot. Personally I’d wait a few weeks or maybe longer to make sure they get the bugs worked out.

So I’m off to run a few errands and then go see Tommy. Lori made him a cake and I’m taking it down with me. Happy Birthday little brother! Here’s to many more. God Bless.

TV

Lori has the film crew here today from 7 am until 7 pm. They’re starting to film the pilot for the Discovery Channel. She’s been working on this for a long time, ever since she joined Dr. B. Last night we went for sushi for Jag’s birthday. It was fun. Lori made him a spice cake we had when we arrived home.

It’s 5:11 am now and we both need to leave around 6. Tonight Jag is having ten friends over for his birthday. They all had to get tested to make sure no one is sick. Still Lori and I will avoid them tonight.

Better get moving. Tom’s birthday is tomorrow, the big six 0! We’re going down to see him. Don’t tell him though as it’s a surprise, ha. God Bless.

Happy Birthday!

Well today Jagger turns 19 years old. It went pretty quick. Almost hard to believe. First up Lori and I are going to the gym and then we need to stop at Walmart for decorations. I have calls at 9, 10 and then 12:30. Hope to be done by 3. Yesterday was warm in Denver but snowy on the passes and in Vail. I picked Lori up around 4:40 and then we headed home.

Mojo had an accident all over the dining room rug. Our boys both neglected to let him out until noon, nice. Ty cleaned up best he could but then Lori had to run the carpet cleaner when we made it home.

My buddy Matt has covid. He lost his smell and taste and has the sniffles and a headache but that’s it. He works on oil rigs and apparently a worker in North Dakota had it where he was last week.

We woke up at 2:37 am and took a bit to go back to sleep. Not sure what woke Lori but once she’s up, I’m up. It’s a married thing. Dr. B. had the vaccine last night so we’ll watch him closely. Jag decorated a couple trees with lights out back, nice. Time to go! Happy Birthday to Jag! God Bless.

Hold on!

Tomorrow is Jag’s birthday, Saturday is Tommy’s, a week from Friday is Christmas, Monday Lori goes to her Mom’s, the 29th is my birthday and the 31st is New Year’s. Did I forget anything? I’d guess I’d better get shopping, ha.

Who’s getting the shot? Don’t think we’re eligible for a while. Some side effects are showing up but so far nothing serious that we know of but it’s only been a couple days. Think we’ll watch it for a bit.

It’s warmer today. We had snow yesterday on and off for most of the day. I’ll drop Lori in Frisco this morning before heading to 32nd and Lowell in Denver, then Park Meadows, then Cherry Creek and then a few more stops before going back to Frisco to get Lori probably around 5:30. So a long day ahead of me.

Tomorrow will be mostly spent on the phone and then Friday I don’t know yet. 6:04 am now so I guess I’ll get going. Be well, be safe and GB.

Still snowing

Yesterday we took Jag’s car to Glenwood. It was snowy and throughout the day lots of cars slid off the road. Jag shoveled the driveway later in the day after I did it in the morning. Ty completed all three finals and thinks he did well. He has two more Thursday. Lori’s back is still out. It’s not healing like a pulled muscle this time. I was going to Denver today but too much ice and snow on the road. When it’s slick in Denver you know there’s no point going.

Lori has to be at work at 8 and wants to drive herself. I offered but she wants to drive. The dogs are fine and so are the boys. Sarah left when Jag and I did around 10. She’s coming back up Friday and Jag is having some other friends up too. Time to get moving. Be well and safe and God Bless.

More Snow

Looks like tonight more snow is on the way. Not sure how much but I’ll be shoveling again by the morning. The Bronco’s won! It was our QB’s best game ever. Lori’s back is still sore and yesterday was a whirlwind with her Mom. Ty has final’s starting today and after my conference call Jag and I need to take his car to Glenwood to drop it off. Sara came up from Boulder yesterday and spent the night here as it was too late and too cold for her to drive home last night.

Lots to do this week. Hard to believe we have a little over 2 weeks left in the year. Sure hope 2021 is better but with the new administration and their new laws and outlook on things, I don’t have much hope. Time to get Ty moving so we can get to school on time. He has three finals today. Hope he does well. God Bless.

A Big No Go

Well we tried. Between the snow and the fracture in Lori’s back, we couldn’t make it. Probably for the best as the way Lori is moving around, had we made the plane, she’d probably be in a wheelchair or the hospital by now. Looks like surgery is needed for sure.

Dixie is sad, Lori is sad and so are the boys and I. On top of it all, I woke up early for no reason, cleaned the snow off the car, and packed Lori’s stuff and some other things for Denver like the dry cleaning. Now were not sure what the plan is. We’re hoping Dixie can somehow get in on the first wave of shots so she’ll be protected. We’ll have to figure out what to do with the dogs. Mojo is old of course but the real problem is we’re not sure anyone or place could handle Harley. We’ll see. Anyhow everything happens for a reason and it’s obviously in God’s plan that Lori didn’t go and that Dixie doesn’t travel right now. Everyone was against Dixie traveling right now except Lori and I think Dixie. We’ll figure it out and somehow get together with her soon.

Today, like yesterday, Lori needs to stay in bed. Not sure what she did to her back this time but Dr. B. says it is fractured and she needs an A Lift where they go in form the front by her hip. First up though is to get it calmed down.

It snowed all the way up to when we went to bed. It’s cold outside in the single digits I’d guess. We only have a few new inches here at the house but the higher elevations got a lot. Jag is done with his finals and Ty’s start Monday. We all have a huge week around here. While it would have been good for Dixie to see the house, she wouldn’t have seen much of us four all week until next Saturday.

Guess I’ll go. Be well, safe and enjoy the day. God Bless.

Giving it a go

Vail Pass was closed last night but it’s open now so we’re giving it a try. It’s 5:41 now and we hope to be on the road by 7. If I’m lucky I’ll be home by noon. Hope the snow holds off until then.

Jag has his last final at 7:30 this morning and Ty starts his Monday. Jag feels pretty good and Ty is a bit stressed. All Ty’s friends in Denver had their finals cancelled. Hope he does well.

Lori’s work is going well. So is mine but I have about $800K worth of revenue to get in. Lori will be back Tuesday when of course we’re supposed to get more snow. The CU game is on at 10 so I’ll listen to that during my drive home. I was going to stay in Denver and do a little shopping but don’t want to chance it. That’s it, have a good weekend. God Bless.
