A little snow

Looks like the front range, which is near Denver where Tommy lives, will get 4 to 8 inches of snow in the next few days. North of us in Steamboat is getting 6 to 10, but with a little luck, we’re going to miss it. No big deal as it is February after all.

Yesterday after working around the house, I headed out to cigar night. We had fun as usual, and I was home around 7pm. Lori left around 6 for her girl’s thing at Gorsuch in Vail. She saw lots of ladies she hadn’t seen in a while. It’s a different crowd than she normally runs with. She knew most people as it’s a small town and a lot of the girls were moms of kids the boys went to high school with. They had a DJ, it was catered and a bartender. I think there were around 40 ladies who showed up. Good for them.

We’re working out at 7 this morning and then Lori has another PT appointment at 8 on her traps and neck. I’ll probably run over and have breakfast with Ty unless I decide to work out for 2 hours. We’ll see how I feel after the first hour. It’s chest day meaning heavy weights and bench press which takes a lot out of you.

2 days until the Super Bowl. Mark ended up getting a ticket, so he flies out today. Good for him and good for us, as now we won’t have any Chiefs fans here! James and Addy made it back from his sisters in Kansas last night, so they’ll be here along with the rest of our group. Lori is making her famous enchiladas, tamales, and maybe tortilla soup, we’ll see.

Today I’ll clean the house. We thought the cleaners were coming yesterday so we cleaned so they could clean, but they got their weeks mixed up. No problem, I’ll knock it out and save the $200. A week from today is Valentines Day. Think we’re going to go to a movie.

That’s it, time to go, 5:30am now. Have a great Friday, God Bless.

Groundhog Day

Alright, for the third day in a row, Lori and I are both driving. She’s in Frisco today and I have a 10am in Denver and then am meeting Shultz at 11. Lots going on.

Windy last night. Warm up here, like 60, but Denver was cold when we arrived at 9 in the morning, like 30 degrees. After our derm appointments, we went to St Lukes in downtown Denver to see Lori’s PA from when she worked at Steadman. Eric was thrilled to see us. I can imagine after fighting cancer for two years, not a lot of people are still visiting him. He looked a lot better than I thought he would. I was expecting him to be skinny and gaunt with not much hair, but he had a full head of curly hair (he said chemo makes it curly) and he looked pretty good. He did have that ashy colored skin which people get from chemo. I told him to hang in there and that he’s going to beat this. My logic is that if he’s still here after two years, and having that shit all through his body, he should kick it. It’s like when someone tells you to go to hell, and you’ve already been there. Continued prayers for him.

Ty’s doing well. I’ll stop and see him on the way back up the hill. Almost 6am, guess I’ll get going. Have a great Wednesday and be well, stay safe and God Bless.

Back at it

Our trip to Denver was fine, and pretty quick. We made it home by 2. Lori looks fabulous of course with her new beach blonde hair and I managed to get a few errands done. Today we’ll be in town by 9 for dermatologist appointments and then afterwards, we’re stopping at a hospital to see Eric Bean, one of Lori’s PA’s when she was at Steadman, who is back in with cancer. No one thought he’d make it this long and he did go into remission, but sadly it’s back, which it tends to do.

At 4 Lori has another PT appointment on her neck and traps and I’ll workout while she’s getting this done. Ty’s working away at work, and Jag too at school.

When we made it home in the afternoon, Lori spotted a coyote in the backyard. I would have shot it but was busy.

We’re getting ready for our Super Bowl party on Sunday. Should be fun. James went to see his sister in Wichita a few days early, so he’d be back in time.

Denver is a shit show with migrants still on the streets, but not as many. A bunch of the bad ones have been arrested and are probably back in their own country by now. The Dems are lost. They have no clue on how to react and are bumbling their way through each day. It seems they’re a few days or a week behind every move President Trump makes. Their approval rating is at an all-time low while the Republicans is at an all-time high. Amazing how quick things can change when there are adults in charge. Hope it keeps on keeping on.

Time to go, have a great day and God Bless.

Fun

The record release party last night was a lot of fun. Tim and Taylor are such a fun couple and really talented too. Our friends, Gary and Jennifer, flew in from Ft. Lauderdale for the 2 hour get together. They’re headed back there today. Gary is an engineer who made a ton of money I think designing Beaver Creek back in the day. Lori mentioned an idea she’s had for 7 years and Gary, being an engineer, is all over it! Jen and I said we can be the minor partners and sit back and count the money, you never know!

Ty did join us after he and his buddies from Denver finished snowboarding at Loveland for the day. Great to see him.

We’re off to Denver this morning for Lori to get her hair done. I’ll make a few stops while she’s getting this done. Tomorrow we’re back down for dermatologist appointments. We tried to get them both on the same day but no such luck.

Almost 6am now. Not a whole lot of other stuff going on. We’re on a tight budget for a few weeks as property taxes are due this month. Looks warm in Denver today, maybe even 70 degrees! Should be 55 up here!

There were a few more shootings in Denver yesterday, nice. That’s sarcasm. One was at Wash Park at 2 in the afternoon! This is a nice park in an affluent area where literally 500 people are at any given time. And this is why we arm up when headed to the big city. So sad.

Time to get going. Lori is already in the shower and with luck, we’ll be on the road by 7. Hope to be back by 3 at the latest. Have a great first week of February. Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training next week! God Bless.

Warm

Nice day yesterday, pretty warm. T-shirt weather for me, but lots of people were still in down coats. After the gym, I headed to Frisco for groceries, dog food and to stop and see Marty. I had about four stops, so I finally made it home right before 3. Then at 4, we headed out to a dance recital at VMS as Cora, our 14-year-old neighbor girl down the street, and Violet, Davy and Abby’s daughter, were both in it. It was fun but two and a half hours. Tonight, we have a record release party for this husband-and-wife duo from Nashville that now live here half the year. They’re pretty good and are really nice people. Their album was released on Mom’s birthday a couple days ago.

Ty has the day off and was playing a game online with Jagger last night at 8, when we called on the way home from the dance recital. Not sure if we’ll go to the gym this morning, might take a break.

Friday a press release went out Worldwide about our merger on the Bocelli brand. I won’t post the entire release here, but here’s the link if you’re interested. Good stuff.

ZONIN1821 and August Imports Announce Exclusive Partnership for the Distribution of BOCELLI1831 Wines in the US – Wine Industry Advisor

Nuggets won which we needed. Another week until the Super Bowl. Lots going on behind the scenes here. Working away on our new Company and Lori is continuously fighting for change at her work. She actually is one of those that does make a difference. We think her head is a little better from her therapy. Hope it continues to get better.

Guess we are going to the gym so time to go. I just got the word from the misses. I could go either way today.

Have a great Groundhog Day! As a sign of never-ending lunacy on the left, PETA wants to outlaw Groundhog Day and replace it with a reveal cake. Check this out, you won’t believe it. Instead of Phil, PETA has offered to send a vegan “weather reveal” cake, similar to a gender reveal cake, each Groundhog Day. The proposed cake when cut would show one of two colors: blue, signifying six more weeks of winter, or pink, indicating an early spring. The left is out of their minds and show no signs of getting better. It’s comical at this point, wow. And people send money to these loonies.

Have a great day, be well, stay safe and God Bless.

February

Today we’re deep cleaning the house. We sort of fired our cleaners as they’re just not that good. Carmen is fine but every week it seems she has someone new with her, that does more damage than good. So, Lori and I are the new house cleaners. It will save us something like $4500 a year!

Big workout yesterday. Lori had her treatment, so I had two hours to lift. I actually did only an hour and 45 minutes, but still, worked out hard. 7am now but we’ll head out again in about 30 minutes.

Another plane crash last night in Philadelphia. This one was a medical plane from Mexico. The one Wednesday, near D.C., involved some error somewhere. It looks like either by the helicopter pilot or the air traffic controller. Maybe a combination of both. Sad.

We need to go grocery shopping soon. The guys might get together this afternoon to hang out for a bit. Cora, our 13-year-old neighbor, has a dance recital tonight from 5 until 8! She invited us, and we love her, but man, 3 hours at a dance recital? I don’t know if I can take that. Maybe I’ll let Lori just go. We also can go with Davy to the Yeti hockey game tonight. He’s a big sponsor of the team, we’ll see.

Time to get moving. Have a great first day of February. 90 days until May 1st! Wow, God Bless.

Let’s Go!

6am and we’re working out at 7, and then Lori has her second treatment on her traps and neck. It’s trash day also so no time to waste.

Lots going on at work, for both of us, across all our companies. Last night, a bunch of us guys got together for cigars at the cabin. Good time as usual.

Today I need to get some dog food for Harley as she’s almost out. We’re switching over to a new brand that the vet suggested.

In ten days, Trump has accomplished more than Biden did in ten years. Amazing how fast you can get things done, if you just do it. I’m surprised Nike hasn’t hired him as a spokesman, ha.

That’s it, time to get moving as I need to handle some things around here before we head out. Have a great last day of January, (Happy Birthday Mom, miss you every day!) and bring on February, God Bless.

AI

Not sure how much you follow AI or artificial intelligence these days, but it’s pretty amazing. We (Lori and I) have been using it for a few years now and it seems daily it gets better. Check out our new house design. I told it I wanted a 3000 square foot house, burglar proof, made of steel, concrete and wood, for $250 a square foot, meaning $750K. Check it out,

Now of course that price doesn’t include the land or the construction, meaning the builder. If you add that in, using construction costs of 20%, or $150K, plus let’s say 20 acres for $300K, you build this house for a total cost of $1.2 million.

I’m still refining the details but you get the idea. You can see on the right I added extra security inside and out which includes steel shutters that cover all the windows, and all entry points reinforced, inside and out. Here is a rendering of the main living area, check it out,

Still working on other details but it’s coming along. This is just one example of AI replacing existing jobs. Obviously, I don’t need an architect. You’ll still need a structural engineer, but with us designing the home on our own, there’s $60K in savings alone.

More to come, but just thought I’d share. You can download AI programs for free to get started. I use a higher-level program and pay $20 a month but use it in work almost every day.

Yesterday we had Lori get another treatment with dry needling on her traps. She’ll do about a dozen sessions over the next 3 weeks along with neck strengthening exercises to add strength to the core muscles of her neck. It’s not cheap, but we think it’ll help. This treats the problem rather than just the symptoms.

Tonight, I have cigar night. I have a call at 9 so time to go. We need to squeeze in the gym first. Make it a great day and God Bless.

Fun Dinner

Last night the four of us went to sushi. Madi was all dressed up and looked really nice. It was really the first time we spent any length of time with her, and she was an absolute joy. She’s a really sweet, together girl. She just received a promotion to front desk supervisor at the Westin. She told us she really doesn’t know what she’s doing but is learning on the job. I told her, good for you, as lots of people don’t want to work at all these days, and to keep it up. Halfway through dinner, Ty’s stomach became a little upset. We ended up taking some of our food to go.

Today, after my 9am conference call, we’re going to Glenwood to pick up Jagger’s car. It has new brakes, battery, and a few other needed things. He needs to come get it sometime soon as it’s clogging up my driveway. He’s of course, doing well at school.

Lots of criminals being taken off the streets nationwide. Keep it up! The mainstream media is lost. They don’t know what to do with the Country winning. All they can do is call the administration names like racist or nazis. In a briefing yesterday, a reporter asked if all those being arrested are criminals. The correct, quick response was, anyone who illegally entered our Country, broke the law and is there for a criminal, bam! The news is trying to make it out that the govt. is arresting grandma and going to schools and pulling out little kids. Nothing could be further from the truth but that’s all they got. In fact, murderers, rapists, child molesters, drug dealers and gang members are the ones being targeted and deported. All we can say is, it’s about time! Frankly it’s unbelievable that these people were allowed to walk free into our Country in the first place. Thanks Dems. I know of no one who is against criminals like those mentioned, being removed from our streets. To be clear, less than 1% of immigrants actually work in agriculture, so you don’t have to worry about getting your veggies!

Here’s a good one. An elected official in California has introduced papers to have the State succeed from the U.S. Are you kidding me? 2 less Democratic senators, 43 less Democratic house members and one less Democratic Governor? Bring it on!

The best one from yesterday is President Trump suggesting we get rid of federal income tax and let States replace it with a sales tax! Who would vote against that? I can’t wait to see any Democrat vote against getting rid of taxes! If he can get that passed, plus put in term limits and get rid of taxes on social security, that would be huge! To be clear, we didn’t always have a federal income tax, and the Country was the most prosperous when we didn’t. All we have to do is put a small tax, or tariff, on everything that comes into our Country. Put something as small as .5 to let’s say 2% on everything, and you can get rid of income tax. Every other Country does it. When you leave any Country in Europe, they charge you a 20% Vat Tax on things you bought. This is the exact same thing as a tariff! Just another word. Trump’s logic is tax other countries to benefit our citizens rather than taxing us, and then sending money to foreign countries, to benefit their citizens. Makes total sense. This would upset the status quo though, so expect the Dems to say the World will end. Remember, 15 years or so ago, the Dems told us the World would be gone in 12 years due to climate change. That didn’t age well, did it.

Enough for today. Big change was needed and it’s here. This transformation is essential to saving America and everyone should embrace and support it. Don’t fall for the fake stories and crocodile tears from has been actors on social media. God Bless President Trump and God Bless America! Have a great Wednesday.

Operation Dinner Out

Tonight, we’re going to dinner with Ty and Madi. Think we’re on at 5:30. Lori is in Edwards today and I think will be home early before we go to dinner. She’s going to meet Tiffany, her new nurse she hired, for coffee this afternoon. I think Tiffany starts next week.

We slept in until around 6:45 this morning. Lori is rushing to get ready for work. Our big buck is outside this morning looking for food. The deer are all pretty healthy due to the low snowpack here at the house. I think more snow is coming in this weekend.

President Trump is on it. I was talking with a friend who is high up in the crypto World yesterday, (they sponsored one of the Presidential inaugural balls) and we’re both optimistic about things that are happening. While crypto and AI are advancing at light speed, this doesn’t bode well for smaller banks that don’t embrace the new tech. In fact, crypto’s advancement will eventually change the way we buy and sell things as it’s inevitable that someday, dollars and currencies we use now, will be a thing of the past.

With the release of Deepseek R1 yesterday, the markets and business World was rocked. For those of you unaware, Deepseek was developed by Bejing (China) at a fraction of the cost of our AI programs and operates using about 10 percent of the chips we need to run ours. But the real kicker is, it’s much faster and more efficient. In one day, it was the most downloaded app in history. There are a few expected drawbacks, like it deters you from any question that is critical of China, which is to be expected since it’s owned by the State and was developed there. But here’s the problem, we 100% cannot lose the AI race to China! It will, without question, destroy us and our way of life. Imagine China dictating what is real or not and how things should work! This is all the fault of the Biden administration who did not support AI development as it was too busy pushing DEI and other misguided policies that not only didn’t help us but actually hurt us. Nort embracing crypto is another example. Hopefully our talent (Musk, Altman, etc.) can catch up!

Time to get moving, make it a great day, be well, stay safe and God Bless.
