That’s right, 14″ to 20″ inches in the mountains which will begin today if it hasn’t already and then who knows how much down here, starting tonight. They say broken tree limbs and possible power outages with messy roads tomorrow and Monday as it’ll be a wet snow. I’ll need to move the big geraniums into the garage for sure!
This morning we’re picking up my Mom and taking her to one of our favorite breakfast spots in Morrison. Glad she decided to go with us as she doesn’t go out too much, at least with us.
Baseball practice was cancelled yesterday as it started to rain right about the time we were walking out the door. The boys, with lots of energy, played inside and out for the rest of the day. Finally around 9pm we all headed to bed.
Here’s a few thoughts for the day,
- We are told to not judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge all gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.
- We constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. Why do we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money?
- We are cutting benefits to veterans, giving no pay raises in the military, and reducing the armed forces to a level lower than before WWII. Why are we not stopping payments or benefits to illegal aliens?
That’s it, I’ll leave politics alone but if you think about it, those are just a few more examples of how out of whack we are, particularly in the govt.
Have a great weekend, God Bless.
HAPPY 50TH LORI!
You and Serena look 10 yrs. younger than you are. Eat what you want!
As I said, I agree with Annette, Lori looks great! Ok, last night we had the 5th and 6th grade concert at school. Normally these are really good but last nights concert was just painful. It was with african drums, xylophones, and other instruments and none of it made sense. The only song that was any good at all out of the 1 hour 15 minute concert was the one from Jagger’s class. He and two other boys also performed solo songs on the tenor recorder which is like a flute. Here again, the other two boys struggled but Jag was fantastic! To throw in a little fun, he put on a bright green mustache and wore it throughout the whole show! He said he wanted to do a something a little crazy before it could get put in his permanent record. Too funny, he had lots of high fives from students and parents after the show! When he came up for his solo the music teacher said “wow, you grew a mustache, and I like it”!
Today we need to clean up around here and get ready for the weekend. Peggy from Aspen will be staying here tonight or tomorrow, we can’t remember. I have some errands today and Lori has work and Jagger has baseball practice tonight.
Time to run, lots to do, have a great weekend and God Bless.
