Big win

Last night the Nuggets had a big win. We jumped out early and after a brief letdown in the second quarter, pulled away in the third. Hopefully we can do the same tomorrow in Phoenix. Still unbelievable how Nikola Jokic didn’t win his third MVP award. He passed Wilt Chamberlin last night for the most triple doubles by a center.

Early in the day I headed over to Aspen and was back by noon. I then hit the gym and after that came home to do some work. Around 3:30 I headed over to James and while on the way, Marty called. He then drove over to join us and we hung out until around 6:30 or so. We decided not to go to France with them as it’s just too much on too short of notice and we want to do something with the kids. So instead, we’re going to Hawaii. We’re going to stay at James house which saves us a ton of money.

Today Lori is in Vail and I’m headed to the gym. I’m also going to go workout with my trainer early this afternoon. We’re leaving two weeks from today so I have 14 days to get in shape, ha!

There were bad hailstorms in the Denver area last night. I’m watching them on the news right now. Lots of cars damaged. We mostly avoid that kind of weather in the mountains, knock on wood.

That’s it, have a great day, see you tomorrow, GB.

Aspen

Heading over to Aspen this morning for a quick stop. Should be back by noon. I picked up a load from Ty yesterday. Tomorrow and Friday we’ll get the rest and then on Saturday we’ll move Jagger over to the house where he’s subletting a room for 10 weeks. That’s costing us $2500 or $250 a week.

I met Madi yesterday. Sweet girl who seems to have it together. Ty texted after I left saying Madi said “your dad looks 40 years old!” I really like her, ha!

I’ve been messing around finalizing my 911 T build. My buddy who is the GM at the Porsche dealer gave me the only build spot the dealer has this year. It’s for a 2024 Porsche 911 T. That model is known as the drivers car with the manual transmission as it has all the options to make it the best performance driver of all the models. I could sell this car the day it comes in and make anywhere between $50 and $100K. If I keep it a couple years, I’ll make more as this is the last year it’s being made with this configuration. Can’t wait, I’ve had two in my life but none since we’ve been married as kids derailed that, ha.

Sunny out now with blue sky. Guess we’re supposed to have afternoon rain showers on and off for the next week or so. That’s it, time to go, enjoy the day and God Bless.

Here’s a quick picture, love the chalk color which is of course an upgrade! Should be here around the end of the year.

Moving Day 1

Back down to Denver to pick up a load from Ty. Should be home by noon. Think he’s giving me all clothes this trip. Trying to get a little each trip so we can wrap up both boys by the weekend.

Yesterday we hung out and went and visited Dixie. James texted and said come over for the game so at 4:30, off we went. Addy’s boys somehow messed up the cable outside with air rifles right before the game started. They shot it. So we had to watch the game on a cell phone, ugh. Robi should be happy as we now are tied 2/2. Lots of people said this will go 7 games, we’ll see.

Lori is working in Vail today and should hopefully get out early today. Looks like it’ll be a nice week. That’s it, time to go, have a great week, God Bless.

Cloudy

Looks like Spring outside, cloudy with some misty rain. We’ll take it! Looks like the 60’s all week. Isolated showers here and there which is fine with us.

Yesterday we had to drive through Leadville to get to Denver as Vail Pass was closed due to a multiple semi truck accident. Once there we hit the mall, returned some things and bought some night stand lamps. Then we headed out to get Ty and head to lunch. We went to Aledita’s on South Broadway for Mexican food. After dropping him and loading up a couple things, we headed west. On the way we stopped at Echters, which is a garden center in Lakewood, for some plants Lori wanted for the yard. Then we headed home.

Today we’ll probably go to the gym as we’ve skipped the past two days. I think we’re going to go to Hawaii in about two weeks. We found a place and will know today if Ty wants to go. He might want to stay and just work. Jag is all in. Then we’ll look for flights.

Yesterday while driving to lunch we somehow got on the subject of how people dress. Ty said the other day Maddie was wearing some shirt that you could see her bra through and he told her to go change! He said those are my boobs, you can’t go out showing them off, ha. Lori was laughing for 5 minutes. His logic was that there are a lot of perverts out there, which we both had to agree with.

Biden is hidin again! He, or should I say, his handlers, think they can win reelection by hiding him like they did a few years ago. I don’t think it’ll work this time unless Trump is his opponent. If so, people will vote against Trump rather than vote for Biden which just might get him in. How sad if those two are the best we can do as a nation, what a joke. Oh well, it’s a long time away in terms of politics. God help us.

That’s it, have a great Sunday and God Bless.

Denver

Heading down this morning to have lunch with Ty and bring a load up from his dorm. We’ll stop at the mall and return the birthday presents that didn’t work for Lori.

Last night James and Addy came over to watch the game. First it looked like a blow out and then we came back but eventually lost. Didn’t think we’d sweep them as they get paid too. Hopefully we’ll step up tomorrow.

It’s sort of rainy out right now, kind of like summer in Italy. A little misty and somewhat cloudy but ok. Hope it’s nice in Denver. Today is the Kentucky Derby. Never been. We thought about it but it seems that it always rains. Plus it’s a lot of standing around for less than two minutes of action.

Jag has two finals tomorrow night and then two Wednesday. Not sure of Ty’s schedule. Time to get moving so we can be on the road in an hour. Enjoy the day, God Bless.

Day after

Lori had a nice birthday. Thanks for all the presents and birthday wishes, she appreciated it. Most of what I bought her we need to exchange but I did score with a huge Louis Vuitton shoulder bag for travel. Can’t go wrong with Louis Vuitton, ha. The day started with a massage and then after the cleaners left we went to see Dixie. After that we ended up at Adriana’s with her and James. There was a little emergency that Lori took care of and then we stopped and picked up crispy pork salads at a restaurant and headed home. We watched a little tv and then had a good nights sleep. She had a good day.

Today we’re around the house and then the Nuggets are on tonight. James and Adriana might come over if one of the boys will be home to keep an eye on Riley who had knee surgery last Monday. Tomorrow we’re off to Denver to see Ty and bring some stuff up from his dorm.

Right now we’re looking for Lori’s phone. It’s here somewhere but she can’t find it. Oh, we just found it in the couch. It’s sunny and a bit cool outside but no longer freezes at night. Things are getting nice and green up here which is a welcome sight.

Cinco de Mayo today. Great day if you like Mexican food and tequila. Have a great day and GB.

Happy Birthday Baby!

Today is Lori’s birthday! In case you forgot, ha. She’s 59 today so I’d better start planning next year now. This morning she’s going for a massage at the Westin and then will come home for some presents and fun stuff. More on her day tomorrow.

Yesterday I had to run down to Denver to go to the distributor. I stopped by Nordstroms and picked up one more present for Lori and then went over to Schultz’s house for a cigar while waiting to meet Toby who was driving back from Loveland. Around 1 I headed up the hill.

This afternoon I’ll drop Lori at Adriana’s around 5 and go meet the guys for our cigar group and then pick her up 90 minutes later when we finish. Robi and Robert sent a beautiful orchid. We’ll celebrate with Marty and Melanie on the weekend as Mel is kicking a cold.

That’s it, time to go, enjoy the day and May the 4th Be With You! God Bless.

One more day!

Lori’s birthday is tomorrow! Whoo hoo!

Yesterday not much happened. I worked out really hard at the gym and then headed home to shower and get ready for the day. Lori was working in Vail and today is in Frisco. I’m off to Denver to pick up some money from Toby and for a few other stops. Looks like it’ll be 80 degrees down there today.

Friday we’re back down getting the boys passports and loading up some of Ty’s stuff. Both boys better get their act together as they both need to decide how, what, when and where and just about everything else, they’re doing this summer. Both need jobs and will probably be in for a bit of a shock as home is no longer a hotel where they can do as they please and leave messes everywhere. Might be a little adjustment, ha.

Time to get moving as not much else going on. Biden is still mindless, members of Congress are crooks and lie to our faces, Trump needs to go away and won’t, and most people don’t seem to care. The media is full of people who don’t tell the truth and push propaganda which most people don’t question. We are flat out in trouble. Hoping the masses wise up before it’s too late. God Bless.

Tired

What a game last night! After hanging around for 3 quarters, we pulled away in the 4th for a 10 point win! Two more to go!

Earlier in the day after going to the gym, I headed down to Denver. After my stops I headed straight back and was home around 2:30. In the morning Adriana texted and wanted us to go to sushi with them. Knowing the game was on I said ok if early.

We met James, Adriana, the three kids and Riley’s boyfriend at 5:30. I wasn’t really hungry but ate anyhow. We ordered a ton of sushi! When we arrived James gave me a couple gifts he brought me back from Amsterdam. First was a couple boxes of really great cigars and second was this really cool meerschaum pipe. He bought us each one as I mentioned them when we were checking out this 200 year old cigar shop before he left. Neither of us have smoked a pipe before but who knows. We were joking now that were getting older, we might look good with one! Lots of details about their trip which was really cool but I’ll save that for another time.

After dinner we all went back to Addy’s house as she bought a cake for Lori. James and I smoked one of the cigars he brought me and they might have been the best cigar I’ve ever had in my life. He talked some guy into selling them as they were from 201o. When we made it back the Nuggets game was just starting. We were tired but stayed for the whole game putting us home around 11. Great game!

We’re off to the gym this morning even though we’re tired. James and Adriana want us to come over to Europe at the end of the month and hang out during his week off in Biarritz France which is a beautiful place on the coast. It’d be right after the Hamburg show, so we’ll see. We could go in and join the tour in Germany and then go down to the coast for a week. More to come as we need to decide quick.

It’s nice outside but they say maybe some afternoon showers. We’ll always take the rain. We turned our sprinklers on yesterday as it’s warming up. Time to go, have a great day, God Bless.

May Day

Looks like a nice week with temps close to 70 and afternoon showers. Clear blue sky outside right now. I was going to Denver but will put it off until Thursday morning. We went to Costco yesterday and bought the last four big flower baskets which hang out front from the steel beams. Lori also got some smaller ones for the two flower pots out back.

Lori made lasagna yesterday. She made an extra pan we dropped off for James and Adriana to have when they arrived home around 5 from Amsterdam. He texted they landed in Chicago around 1:30. From there they hopped a private plane so they could fly right into Eagle. Glad they made it home safe and had a good time.

The Av’s lost. I don’t understand the rules that well as we scored the tying goal and then they overturned the goal saying offsides way after we were supposedly offsides. I thought if we were offsides, which we were, they’d call it when it happened, not after they played on for a while. Oh well, we’ll be back next year.

Off to the gym this morning and then I’m cleaning out the garage a bit. We need to throw away Dixie’s broken furniture but Lori is having a hard time letting it go. We also need to book a trip at the end of the month as I managed to get the boys passport appointments this Friday. I had to buy two tickets to Mexico as the only way to get an in person immediate appointment is by having an international flight within 14 days. Our appointment is at 10am in Cherry Creek on the 5th.

That’s it, time to go. Have a great week and God Bless.
