A Year of Change

It’s nice outside now and warming up. Yesterday was fine and it looked like we were going to miss it until about 5pm when my phone started dinging with an emergency alert. It said a snow squall was headed my way and this time, they were right. A snow squall is a combination of snow and really high winds causing whiteout conditions. We had about 3 of them in 90 minutes. Lori was stuck in one in Vail but made it home around 7. We don’t have a lot of snow on the ground, maybe an inch, but the wind blew it everywhere. Blue sky now and warming up.

Yesterday I talked to Jag who told me he just had an alert about an active shooter. Turns out about 15 high schools in Colorado all had them. Thankfully they were all fake. In all cases, someone called the police and said they were outside the school with an AR-15 and an explosive device and going inside. I heard two of the calls and they were the same voice. It sounded like it was middle eastern and the news said about 8 States had them and they were investigating. One theory was that those in favor of gun control did them. Not sure about that as I think that would backfire. In any case, you need to be careful out there and always be aware of your surroundings.

Tonight we’re having our cigar group dinner with the girls. Should be fun. The restaurant has these great fish tacos for two that Lori and I order. It’s too much for one person so you need someone who wants them to order them with you. It’s a whole fresh fish deep fried with all the trimmings, yum.

Lori wants to go to the gym so I’d better get shoveling. Jag is feeling better and has one more mid-term today I think. He had one last night and is making up one today from when he was sick a couple days ago. It’s 5 below in Denver right now, probably 25 up here.

Oh, did you see the latest from the WEF, (World Economic Forum) headed by today’s new Hitler, Klaus Schwab? He wants countries and communities to create 15 Minute Cities. This is where everything you need is within 15 minutes of your home. This sounds nice until you understand the rest. If you travel more than 15 minutes from your home, you are either fined or you need a permit! What the fuck! A permit to travel more than 15 minutes from your house? His theory is it will limit excess pollution and stop Global warming by reducing emissions. Don’t be fooled, this is all about control! You don’t think he and his private jet will adhere to these rules do you? Screw him and all the elites. This is the guy who created the annual World Economic Forum meetings that are in Davos Switzerland every year where about 2500 super wealthy fly in on their private jets and make up rules for us, but not for them. This guy is the real enemy as governments all seem to follow along with his bullshit. Thankfully in towns like Oxford England where they are trying to roll out a test 15 minute city, thousands of people turned out to protest and said no way. These are the same people who envision a new one World order where there is no more cash but only tokens the government controls so they can then control what you buy, track what you buy, (no more alcohol or meat if they think you’re buying to much), and even how much money you have and more. Anyone who voted for Biden is to blame. Republicans, most of them, are to blame too but there are those who are for small government and an independent Country. A new one World order is not a good thing. Wake up now.

The news is showing snow everywhere but here, so far, we’ve dodged it. Looking at the sat maps last night I thought we might be in the eye of the storm and as of 6:10am, it seems to be that way. Hopefully it’ll continue to miss us this time around. Lori is working in Frisco today and hopefully the roads over the Pass are ok too.

James and I hung out last night. We have our big cigar dinner tomorrow where we take the girls. Lori and I will go early to Adriana’s and the four of us are going to hang and go over together. James leaves Sunday as he’s in a new western being filmed in Calgary. The short guy from Game of Thrones called him and asked him to play a small part. A few other well know actors are in it, more on this later.

This morning I have a drywall repair guy coming to see about fixing the dings in the walls we have from 2 years of living. That’s at 9 and then I’m headed back to the gym. I have a call at 1 this afternoon on a potential brand sale and merger for the Company. It’s coming along well but we’re only in the beginning stages of the deal.

Lots of places closed in Denver. The three largest snow storms we’ve had this year have all been on a Wednesday. Hmm. That’s it for the day, be safe, be ready and go get after life! Game on! God Bless.

Here it comes. They say 10 to 20 inches south of us and 8 to 16 north of us. Hopefully we’re in the eye of the storm and end up with 2 or 3 inches. We’ll know by tomorrow morning. It’s been a snowy cold winter. We shouldn’t have any water issues this year. Right now we have blue sky and a few clouds and that’s it.

Grand Junction was nice. It was good to see Randy. He should have sketches of my desk done in a few days. He sent me home with a bunch of canned goods including corn, banana peppers, peaches, and strawberry jam. He also gave me a bunch of air packed fresh spices. After meeting with him, I had lunch with Matt before heading home. The drive was fine with not much traffic.

Lori was home around 5:30. Today she’s back in Vail. Tomorrow Frisco, weather permitting.

Yesterday Biden went to Ukraine. We warned Russia we were going so they stopped launching missiles. Yet when Biden walked out they still turned on the air raid sirens full blast, no one ran for cover or paid any attention, funny. This clearly was an orchestrated photo op to make him look tough. He is afraid though to go to the southern border though! Oh well, if you’re drinking the Kool-Aid, nothing will change your mind.

The concerning thing is today Russia announced it is suspending it’s membership in the World nuclear treaty that all countries have signed. Let’s hope this is just posturing by Russia. We need to stop poking the bear and work for peace in Ukraine instead of continuing to escalate the war which we seem to continuously do. But relax, Biden and his buddies have been in Washington for 40 years. Most have never had a regular job, they surely know what they’re doing! Insert sarcasm, enough said.

I’m headed west this morning to Grand Junction to go to the farm. Should be back around 2. This year at the farm, outside of a small patch of stuff for us, Randy and Matt, Randy is planting all strawberries. They turned out to be the in demand money crop everyone wanted. Randy is also a cabinet maker by trade and is building me a new desk. While down there I’ll stop at a few places and look for some 300 win mag ammo.

Lori is in Vail today from about 11am on. Jag is getting a cold but has some more mid-terms today. Ty is doing well and texted and called me a bunch during the NBA All Star game last night. We’re both into basketball.

I went to the gym twice yesterday, once while Lori was getting her hair done and again with her when she got home. One week and one day left in February, let’s go!

It’s bee about a week since Robert had his hip replaced. Robi says he’s doing well. Hope he heels up fast! Here he is! Nice summer hat! Must be warming up down there. Make it a great day and GB!

Ok, there’s no chance of meatballs, that’s the name of one of the kids movies growing up. There might be a chance of a little dusting of snow. It’s a little cloudy out now.

Yesterday Lori took Dixie to get her nails done and then brought her up for some dinner. She’s fine, although easily confused as to who we are, if we have kids, etc. She think all her siblings are alive and that her parents are still on an extended trip in Europe. She seems happy though which is all that counts.

Lori is off to get her hair done in an hour so I’ll head out to the gym. Then we’ll be hanging around the house.

Looks like a wild weather week. Hard to believe it’s the last full week of February. They say it’ll be a windy day in the State.

We made it to Denver, finished up our errands and dropped some food to Ty. He had a stomach bug so it was just Jag, Lori and I for lunch. We dropped some to go food to Ty after lunch. Now we love our sushi place but lunch yesterday it was horrible. The food and service both sucked. We were all bummed, and it was over $400! They now include an automatic 21% tip. Guess that’s why the service was so bad, they no longer have to earn it, it’s just added to the check. Off we went to the grocery store in Lakewood and bought Jag some groceries on the way home. After that, Jag headed to Boulder and Lori and I headed home. We made it home around 3:30 or so. And that was the day.

Today we’re probably off to the gym in a bit and then I’m not sure what’s up. It’s warming up again today but maybe a little snow tomorrow, we’ll see. I need to continue to organize things around here so maybe we’ll get on that. It was great to see the boys. We’re so glad their close.

Lori and I are headed to Denver for lunch with the boys 1t 11:30. I need to stop at the distributor and meet up with Toby to pick up a 1911 (pistol) before lunch but we’re all having sushi together today!

Should be much warmer down there. They said it was going to be 10 below last night so I plugged in the truck to keep the engine block warm. Not sure if it was that cold or not. We hope to be out of here by 7 and it’s 6:10 now.

Cigar night was fun last night. I think 8 of us showed up. We decided to all go to dinner next Thursday and take the wives. I came up with this idea and we did it a few months ago and decided it was time we do it again. Good to include the better half’s every now and then, ha.

The demonic Globalists are doing everything to remove God from the general population in the West. It’s been a year of record snow but we’re not complaining. We’ll take the water. I was reading how there are a lot of people that moved to warmer climates than will soon be dealing with 100 degree plus temperatures and no water, or drought. Arizona, Vegas and California come to mind. I’m sure there’s a bunch more places I’m not aware of. So, we’ll take the snow.

The next few days it’s warming up. I was going to Denver today but think I’ll wait until tomorrow or Saturday. Should be a much easier drive. Denver was hit a lot harder than us up here. Looks like 10 inches down in Lakewood where Tom lives. So far this year, over 40 inches in Denver, about 20% higher than last year. We probably have six weeks or so more of winter. March used to be the snowiest month but if you look at the last 10 to 15 years, February has been much snowier than March so it looks like things are changing.

It’s Presidents Day weekend. That means lots of people in town so we’ll stay out of Vail. Not like we go there much anyhow. Lori and I are headed to the gym this morning. I’m on a roll with my 2 miles a day on the treadmill.

No politics today, as it’s so toxic I need to give myself a break from thinking about their incompetence and stupidity. Almost got sucked in! God Bless.

Since I bought my new shovel called the Snow Plow, we’re not really getting much snow! It has a blade on it about 3 feet wide! Oh well, one of these days.

Lori had a good, long first day back at work. I had a great day at work as we have some really huge things going on that I started working on around last August. Turns out it might just turn into something huge. More on that if and when it happens.

Today I’ll hit the gym for another 2 miles on the treadmill and Lori is working in Vail. We are planning on going down to see the boys Friday but I might go tomorrow if the snow clears up down there. Looks like they have it much worse than we do. The news says a lot of places are closed in Denver. Looks snowy on the news and warmer up here.

Keep topping off your supplies. Get anything you can think of now that you regularly use or think you’ll need in the future, asap. Do not take this lightly. I’ll leave it at that on this one.

Lori and I were talking last night and we both like popcorn balls! Think we’ll make some. Ty and Maddy went to Sushi Sasa for Valentines Day last night. They then went to the Meow Wolf museum which is supposed to be pretty cool. Glad they had fun. Not sure what Jag did, if anything.

Today I have a drywall repair guy coming to see about fixing all the dings and dents in our drywall. New houses settle so sometimes you get small cracks and of course, the dog and people ding the walls.

Anyone remember those little heart candies with sayings on them when we were kids? Wonder if they still have those or if they’ve been discontinued for some pc reason. They were usually two words like “Be Mine” or something. Those were the go to candy for Valentines Day.

We used to always get Mom flowers. She’d always get us something too even though we were technically not her Valentines, just her kids. But that’s who Mom was. You could always count on a card with something from Mom.

Today Lori is headed back to work for the first time in about 10 days. She’s still a little red but is good to go. I ran to the hardware store, Costco and the grocery store yesterday as I’m in the middle of rotating and topping off some supplies here at the house. I also oiled all the axes and hatchets with boiled linseed oil to protect the handles and make sure they don’t shrink in our dry climate. It’s important to take care of your tools. I learned that as a kid from Grandpa in Wisconsin as one day I watched him oil and the handles of his wooden tools.

Later this week, Lori and Adriana are starting their shooting lessons with my buddy Steve who is Group 19 (Green Berets) in the Army. Adriana wants to learn to shoot so she can surprise James when we all go to the range. Lori needs a refresher course and Steve trains everyone from guys in the Service to civilians. Time to get both girls comfortable so it’s second nature. Lori has her concealed carry permit but Adriana needs to get hers.

Speaking of shootings, two yesterday at schools in Denver, nice. One at the School of Mines in Golden, maybe 5 miles from where we grew up and another at East High School in Denver. They seem to be common place now. Democrats want to blame guns but just ask England how that worked out. They had record knife attacks and deaths last year and that number was higher than gun deaths in any year before taking guns away from everyone but the criminals, hmm. It’s a different World and until people go back to treating others with respect, I’m afraid nothing will change. Sadly I and most of the guys I know, go nowhere unarmed. Sometimes up here, I slack off but in Denver, no way!

The Super Bowl had a few ads promoting Jesus and people living as one and treating each other with respect. Of course AOC, the bartender congresswoman from New York, who has never had a single bill she sponsored pass, blasted it. What the hell is wrong with some people. She needs Jesus more than anyone and I pray for her like I do for our Country and all of you. The power of prayer is real! Don’t doubt it!
