A Year of Change

Fun day yesterday. Good game for the most part but once again, the officials decided the game, just as they did in the Chiefs Bengals game two weeks ago. Also a crappy halftime show. On top of that, I can’t remember a memorable funny commercial! I miss the good old days with great games, hilarious commercials and halftime shows like the Rolling Stones. And I am 100% not racist but what in the hell is the Black National Anthem? A Country can have only one National Anthem! Oh well, it’s over, on to next year.

Lori and Adriana had great massages and then hung out for a couple hours just talking. I cleaned up the house, made a run to Costco and City Market. Around 3:30 Adriana showed up and around 4:30, Marty and Melanie. James was in L.A. shooting more videos. We all had good food, and lots of laughs and fun.

Snow they say this week. It might just miss us if we’re lucky. We’re sort of on the line between snow and no snow. I was texting with Tom about what we were cooking. We both kind of had a cheat day but as expected, I’m up 2 and a half pounds! Back on it today.

So what the hell are all the things Biden is supposedly shooting down almost daily? He is refusing to even brief Congress, dems and republicans, and both are upset, rightfully so. Don’t get me started here. Just get ready for just about anything as these guys in power will do anything to stay there. Trump would have been impeached by now, enough said.

Today, the highlight of the day, will be three racks of beef ribs I’m cooking. They’ll go in at 9 and be done around 3:30 or 4. Not sure, and don’t really care, what else we’re having! Oh, I am doing broiled crispy jalapeno’s stuffed with cream cheese and topped with bacon!

Lori and Adriana are going to the 4 Seasons at 10am for massages. Around 3 or so, Marty and Melanie are coming over for the game to join the three of us. Brian and Michelle and K.C. and Shannon down the street invited us over too but we just wanted to stay home. Hope the commercials are good. Brian did give me some elk yesterday (like we need more, ha) as his freezer is full.

Yesterday we went to the gym. Lori is sore today as she hadn’t been for over a week and worked out way too hard. That’s normal when you haven’t gone in a while. You always do too much trying to get back on the program. Later I went to Costco while Lori made a little chili.

Weird crap going on with China. The warmongers in Washington might just get us into trouble. The last thing any Country should want, is war. Even if someone wins, it won’t be good. The problem is the people in charge in Washington will do just about anything to change the narrative to cover their missteps and stay in power. It came out yesterday that the State Dept. has had a department to censure things they don’t like. This shouldn’t be a surprise. The remarkable thing is most people will just ignore it. The propaganda spread to all of us rivals that of regimes we used to all be shocked at when growing up. The point is, you really can’t believe anything anyone tells you anymore, even from those that supposedly represent us. God help us, and please think for yourself. With all the saber rattling with China, time to top of supplies of things you use on a regular basis. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

Yea, it’s the weekend. My trip down was fine yesterday. I met up with Ty and dropped him some groceries and after a few stops before that, headed home. I think I was home by 2. Lori and I then hung out, had a nice dinner and watched a movie. Today Lori can go to the gym for the first time in about 10 days. I think she still has another day or two before she can wear makeup. I told her last night, she doesn’t really need it as after a week, it’s the new normal. She always looked good without makeup anyhow, but you know how women are, ha.

It’s nice outside, with a little haze mixed into the sky but for the most part, clear. It is in the single digits again. Doesn’t seem all that cold but the thermometer says it is. We have had snow on the ground for what seems like a couple months. It was warm in Denver with most of the snow gone from the side streets and yards. That was nice.

Not sure what else we’ll do today. Tomorrow is the big game which even though I don’t care about, is still a time for gathering with some friends and making some good food. I’m more into the commercials, the halftime show and the food than the game itself. Now that I think about it, I think that’s how most Super Bowls have been for a while anyhow. It’s like the game is secondary to all the festivities. I do hope the Eagles win though. Can’t cheer for the Chiefs being a Bronco fan!

That’s it, I’m trying to eliminate politics and some computer time from my daily routine. I decided I’m going to read some more books instead of surfing the web. Spending too much time on a computer is like having an endless conversation with a bunch of people you don’t even know. I’m going to go post free for the rest of the month, meaning I’m not posting anything about anything. Of course, that doesn’t include the blog! Lucky you!

This morning I need to head to Denver to pick up a dozen cases of fine wine that arrived. I’m then going to go see Ty who has had a cold for a few days. He of course needs some groceries! What college kid doesn’t!

Last night Mark, James Rush, Andres, Marty and I met up at James house for some cigars. James is in L.A. shooting videos. His first video that they released last month, which is a song on the new album coming out, has been number 1 on the charts for 6 weeks now. Of course it has, ha. Addy and Lori I think are going for massages on Sunday and then she’s hanging with us for the Super Bowl as James will still be shooting videos this weekend in L.A. I think he comes home early next week. We all have our jobs to do.

No snow but it is in the single digits outside. I think we’re in the clear until the middle of next week. Lori can finally go out starting tomorrow. She’s been on lock down since last Friday and is finally starting to look normal again. I did go see Dixie yesterday on my way to cigars. She’s doing fine but can’t remember things from a few minutes earlier. Less than 60 days and she’ll be 92!

Time to get going. Hope everyone is well. Take it easy, be safe and stand up for what’s right. We all know what’s right and wrong but it seems nowadays many of us let things go rather than getting involved. Not saying break up random violent confrontations but do stand up for your rights and values. That’s the only way things will change. We’ve let the vocal minority overshadow the silent majority for too long. Did you see every democrat voted to not say the Pledge of Allegiance in Congress any more? WTF! I’m out, God Bless.

It only lasted about 30 minutes but arrived right on schedule, according to the Emergency Alert email I received around 6:30pm. At 7:07pm the wind picked up and snow blowing sideways came up the valley like a freight train barreling through a tunnel. It didn’t last long and only left a little less than an inch of snow. Hope it’s not bad on the pass. I’m leaving around 7 this morning just in case.

Yesterday I washed Lori’s car and filled it with gas as it’s been sitting in the garage since last Thursday. I washed my truck yesterday so both cars are clean. If you really know me, you know I hate dirty vehicles.

I hope to get in and out of town quickly and plan on being home by 2. Not a whole lot else going on to talk about. Things are getting uneasy out there, people are stressed more than usual. You see it everywhere you go. Just an observation, I’ll leave it at that.

Here we go, halfway through another week. Tomorrow I have a dermatologist appointment in Denver and will leave around 7 or so. Lori is still in lockdown due to her face. She’s healing a bit more every day. It’s cloudy outside this morning but no new snow.

Today I promise not to dive into all the lies spread by the administration last night. I’ll just leave it at that. I couldn’t watch it but didn’t need to to know it’d be full of equivocations at best. You have to remember, the guy talking is a puppet who knows not what he’s saying. He’s reading a script written by his handlers behind the curtain. Most of the people I know couldn’t watch it either. I was getting texts from all kinds of people who were blown away that a guy could stand up there and lie to all of us with a straight face. I told them any number or fact can be manipulated or twisted to be able to use in one way or another. To lower their blood pressure, I suggested they just change the channel!

The boys are well. We need to get Ty up here for a check up on his hand and to go get a hard copy of his drivers license. He hasn’t had it replaced since he was pick pocketed a couple months ago.

Before I get into it, yesterday was another beautiful day in the mountains. Lori worked all day and I had my conference call and then handled some emails. I’ve been trying to kick a sinus infection for a few weeks. Seems like it never ends. I’m sure it’s part allergies too.

Yesterday afternoon Ty received an alert while in class to evacuate his dorm due to a threat, super. At the same time, Summit High School in Breckenridge had the same thing happen. Both were cleared and nothing found but what the hell is going on?

This all stems from the current state of our Country. No accountability from the President on down, for any lies or crimes. Experts say, and I quote, that skyrocketing inflation, political division, social unrest and a relentless effort to wipe away the fundamental principles of the nation, offer an elegy for what the country used to be and warn of what it has become.

“The America of the 1980s has pretty much vanished,” Manhattan Institute senior fellow Chris Rufo said. “We’re now entering a new period of unprecedented economic, social and cultural change.” With unbearable living costs, anti-American “woke” sentimentality infiltrating the nation’s public schools and universities, riots in the streets of major U.S. cities, and the emboldening of the nation’s greatest adversaries, including Russia and China, we are well on our way to a total collapse of the life we once knew. How can you be an American and promote an anti-American agenda. If you do, by definition, you’re not an American, right?

All great civilizations from Rome on have had an average life span of about 225 years. We as a Country, founded in 1776, have already passed that milestone. Tonight Biden will spin facts and spew lies to tell us that everything is great. He’ll blame Republicans for anything not going well from the border to the increased crime to the economy and social unrest. He’ll label anyone who doesn’t agree with him as a racist. This is their method of operation. What they always go to. If you disagree with them, you’re the bad one and you’re the problem. Don’t be fooled by this. Remember the days when you were younger. It doesn’t have to be like this. Pray we can turn this around or it’ll be a living hell for the younger generation and our Country’s future. We can be the exception to history if we all just use common sense. It’s amazing how people just stand by and take this crap that less than 600 people (the politicians) in Washington, tell us is best for us. From the so called vaccine to an open border being good for us to special privileges for those who were oppressed hundreds of years ago, it’s clear they are wrong on all accounts. Yet people still vote for these people even though they are systematically ruining their lives. Maybe we are doomed as people complain about things and then vote to keep people in power who are doing the very things to them that they complain about. Talk about the definition of stupid!

Time to stop as now I’m just ranting. It’s just so hard to fathom what’s happening to our great Country. I really can’t believe intelligent people are going along with a lot of the crap being handed down by fools like those in Washington. These people were elected to be our representatives, not our leaders.

So what can you do? Well, talk with your family and friends. Change starts one person at a time. It’s not too late, the people have power and this will only stop when the people unite and say enough is enough.

Keep the faith, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. As for us, we’re all about doing what we can to live our life in peace and making sure we set the boys up the best we can. God Bless us all and God Bless the USA.

Looks like about an inch outside, not much more. Just enough to be a pain. I’ll shovel it after I finish up here. Lori is getting better each day. Jag called and woke me up a few minutes ago.

Bozo Biden is off his rocker. I won’t go into it. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just turn on the news. Dems and Republicans alike are bashing the guy. What a mess he has our Country in.

Big earthquake in Syria, thousands of people killed. Sad. Could happen anywhere, anytime. I’m sure aftershocks are coming. The one that hit might not even be the big one! Pray for the people.

Not much else going on. The boys are well. Lori works from home all week. I’m in Denver Thursday, might go down tomorrow, we’ll see.

Dixie wouldn’t take a shower yesterday. They of course texted Lori around 7:30pm like she can do something about it then. I probably should go see her today as Lori can’t go with her face. She needs to stay away from places where germs can get on her skin.

Lori is watching a lot of movies and hanging out. I did run to Costco yesterday but that was about it. Probably more of the same today. I’ve been skipping the gym trying to give myself a break. I might go this morning, haven’t decided yet. My neck has been sore for a few days. I’ve been trying to give it a rest.

Nice and clear outside, fairly warm too. Still lots of snow on the ground though. That won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. The boys are well. I tried to help Ty get the Nuggets app on his computer but the NBA blocks games that are local, even on the app. I thought you could pay for it but I guess not. I think they’re on national tv this afternoon.

Costco looked like World War 3 had started. I’d never seen so many people buying so much stuff. I still can’t decide whether it was just a normal Sunday or if something was up. Maybe the balloon from China had people buying more. Lots of people were buying lots of water, toilet paper, meat and booze. Many families were dragging two carts around. Definitely not what you normally see at Costco. Experts say the real question is why the Chinese wanted to provoke us. Most say it was another test seeing if they could push Biden even further. Apparently they can. So hard to believe this guy is President and he says (we’ll see) he’s running again! What a mess. I don’t understand how the majority of the Country could be so stupid to vote for him again. Last time he won as people voted against Trump, not for Biden. But the midterms? Give me a break. People are now getting what they voted for. Inflation, crime, weakened national security, open borders, trans shows in kindergartens, and on and on. God help us. I always wonder what dad would think. I know he’d be disgusted. I’ll stop now.

Lori’s procedure went fine. It doesn’t seem as bad as the last time she did it but I haven’t seen her this morning. It’s usually a bit worse a few days after. Before her appointment, Jag met us at Whole Foods and picked up the camera. We then stopped at Ty’s and dropped him some groceries before dropping Lori off around 11:45. I then washed the truck and ran a few other errands before picking her up around 2:30. That put us home at 4:30.

Today we’ll hang out and take it easy. Lori needs to stay out of the sun and can’t put on makeup for 7 days. No way I’d have that done to my face.

Two wolves were found up by the ranch. Not good. The ranchers and people that live up there are not happy but of course the libs in Denver and Boulder think they’re so cute as they don’t have to live with them.

I think I’ll organize the basement today and maybe go to the range for some practice as it’s finally warm enough to get outside. Maybe I’ll clean the garage, we’ll see.

Looks like there are two spy balloons from China over the U.S. Imagine if they were from Russia, they would have been shot down as soon as they found them. But no, we’ve been tracking them before they hit our shores and for some reason (Biden) we’re ok with them flying over our military bases, wow. Can’t make this stuff up.
