From today until about June 10th, it’ll be non stop for the entire family. Today I’m off to the distributor and Jag is off to a ranch about half way to Steamboat. Lori has clinic and Ty and his friend Sonny, (who spent the night) will be here until I get back early afternoon.

Yesterday all three boys went stand up paddle boarding which is where you’re on a board that looks like a giant surfboard and you paddle around the lake. You can also use these in rivers. After that we went to lunch and then Jag went to Ethan’s until Lori, Ty, Sonny and I picked the two of them up later in the day to go to dinner. Ty and Sonny were still up at 2am playing games when Lori made them turn the lights out.

Jag is off to a classmate’s family ranch for a day of paintball, swimming, horseback riding and more with the entire 8th grade class that’s still in town. He has a ride both ways which is good. As I said, Lori has clinic which makes for a long day. I hope to be back by late morning but we’ll see as I have about 3 stops in Denver.

It’s 5:36am and the gym opens at 6 so time to run. Hope all’s well, GB

Thank God today is Memorial Day. More on the day in a minute but first, we’re sure glad we don’t have to work today. Yesterday after some work around the house, Lori and I drove down to Denver to a party we were invited to at Jeff and Tina’s. We stayed until a bit after 6 and then headed home. The boys wanted to stay home so that’s where they stayed.

Now to the day. I mentioned yesterday (did you read the post? It was a good one!), about thugs defacing a veterans memorial, ripping flags out at a cemetery and beating a 91 year old veteran with his oxygen tank. I think we all agree that these useless people taking up air on our planet should somehow taught to respect other people and life in general. But what’s so ironic about the whole thing is that these people that did these horrible things could only do so because of the sacrifice of veterans who fought so they had the freedom to live in a society where they wouldn’t be imprisoned or killed for such actions. Could you imagine what would happen if you defaced a veterans memorial or ripped out flags at a National Cemetery in Russia? I can and that’s why you don’t see this sort of thing happen there. Now once again, and I hate to bring it up, but the people that defaced the memorial and tore flags out at the cemetery, apparently according to police, were illegals! Turns out the desecration is the same as other “tags” or graffiti in the area by a well known gang of illegals. By the way, this all happened in Venice California and the Los Angeles Police Dept. have said they aren’t going to investigate it!  On top of that, yesterday in Cedar Falls Iowa, a memorial known as Freedom Rock honoring 5 brothers who died serving their country, including a Medal of Honor winner, was spray painted black by a Hillary supporter! Just what is going on here? What kind of people or kids have been raised up to do such things? Their parents are the ones who should be looked at. I’ll bet in the majority of the cases, the parents are also worthless scum.

Anyhow, my point is we all need to speak up. We cannot let others see or read about people doing this and let them think it’s ok. This is not political discourse or disagreeing with the other side, this is just disrespectful and criminal. And by the way, the vast majority of people protesting past wars (which doesn’t even make any sense, these people have already died for their Country) are Hillary or Bernie supporters, but where are they? So if you’re a democrat and have loved ones that served, you owe it to them to let your candidate know they need to speak up, otherwise you’re just as bad as the protesters. Apathy makes you just as complicient as people who did this! Also Republicans voters have the same responsibility to also call their candidates. In fact, all people need to call their chosen candidates campaign and denounce any violence at any event on either side and tell them to publicly demand their supporters stop this kind of behavior. I’ve called all three candidates campaigns! Of course, Hillary won’t do this, in fact she has been supporting and instigating many of the protests of Trump. You see she needs everyone to believe Trump is a bully who hates everyone to have a chance to win. Without big money spreading lies, she doesn’t have a chance as her record is as bad as a grade school dropout. Instead of telling us what she’ll do to make our Country and lives better, all she can do is tell us how bad the other guy is. How can anyone vote for someone like that? George Soros, the democratic financier, along with unions like the SEIU have been organizing on Hillary and Bernie’s behalf, and actually paying people, to protest at every Trump event. That’s right, all the people from New York to California that show up to protest Trump, are being paid! This is a fact, check it out, it’s easy to verify but of course the mainstream media won’t tell you this even though they know it too. Now back to the day, here’s the real meaning of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America. Over two dozen cities and towns claim to be the birthplace of Memorial Day. While Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966, it’s difficult to prove conclusively the origins of the day.

Regardless of the exact date or location of its origins, one thing is clear – Memorial Day was borne out of the Civil War and a desire to honor our dead. It was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11. “The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land,” he proclaimed. The date of Decoration Day, as he called it, was chosen because it wasn’t the anniversary of any particular battle.

Some would argue things these days are not any worse than they were a century ago, just different. From a natural standpoint, global warming, floods, volcanos, etc., they might be right, but then I wasn’t around then to tell for sure. What I think we all know is different these days, are the people. Even in the last few decades, people have become more self centered, less caring about their neighbor and overall, more violent. If we look at this, you’ll find it’s mostly the younger people who fit the above description more so than those of us a few years older. So let’s look at why.

There is a deep divide in our Country, mainly driven by the media. Most people these days, old and young, no longer think for themselves. Beliefs about everything from government and politicians to the state of our environment to issues we face such as immigration and others all stem from what people watch on tv. If you watch ABC and George Stephenopolus you love Hillary and hate Trump. Yet if you watch certain commentators on other networks, you hate Hillary and love Trump. My point is no one even takes the time to get the facts and form their own opinion anymore. The facts are out there, all one needs to do is take the time and make a few clicks on a computer keyboard to get the straight story, but that’d require a little work and a few brain cells and might interrupt your favorite tv show. But let’s go a step further, what about all these young people that have no regard for other people, their property or even their lives. For example, yesterday the National Vietnam Memorial was defaced with vandalism, a 91 year old veteran was beaten with his own oxygen tank, a war memorial in Virginia was looted and flags were pulled out and destroyed at Arlington cemetery. So what drives people to do this? Well, read on.

There are a couple of reasons for this change in behavior, and it didn’t happen overnight. First up is the destruction of the family unit, 2 parents living together raising a family. That’s not all of it though as there’s many single parents raising great kids with good values. I think the biggest reason for all this discourse comes from our so called leaders. There is such a deep divide in our Country between the left and the right that people down right hate others with opposing views. How else could you explain the destruction of the Vietnam Memorial or defacing flags at Arlington Cemetery. Now some of you won’t like this, but sadly it’s true. You see the democrats are the ones that preach for the right to protest and disagree, until someone disagrees with them. Then they resort to violence. Even if you’re a democrat, give me one example of conservatives committing violence when they don’t like a certain position. Are conservatives destroying property because Obama wants to create transgender bathrooms in our schools? I think not. Imagine people protesting a Hillary event like they do a Trump event. If there were hundreds of violent protesters burning effigies of Hillary, all hell would break loose. Talk about a double standard. We even have a President weighing in on the Presidential election while overseas which is a first in our history. Never has a President voiced his opinion on candidates in the past from a foreign Country. You may think I’m wrong, but if you don’t believe me, do a little research on your own rather than watching and believing the mainstream media. I’d gladly admit I’m wrong if you could prove me so, but you can’t. George Bush didn’t do it, think about it. Do you know that over 85% of all newspapers and media (tv) endorsed Obama in the last election? That creates a level playing field when most people believe everything they see on tv, right?

How about the current election. You had one old man punch a protester months ago at a Trump event yet hundreds of protesters have destroyed millions of dollars in property and sent scores of Trump protesters to the hospital at various events and yet Trump is branded as the violent one, hmm. In fact, at Trump events you have hundreds of illegal immigrants holding signs saying “Make America Mexico” and kids under 10 throwing things and yelling profanities demanding we the people give them more free stuff and rights reserved for Americans. Now I’m for helping people out but don’t you agree, there should be a process or some sort of procedure you go through to become a citizen? That’s the way it used to be. One just didn’t swim across a river and then start demanding rights and free shit. In many cases, illegals have more rights than actual Americans! So with all this going on, it’s no wonder the people are angry. The young in particular see no future for them. Yes CEO’s make too much money and the ultra rich are too rich but is the solution to destroy what made us great? When did capitalism and individual freedoms become such dirty words?

We’re almost at the tipping point or that inflection point, where from we won’t be able to turn back. Government is too big, people don’t think for themselves are either too lazy or uneducated to work hard and make a better life for them and their family on their own. We’ve created a generation of weak, useless pussies who think they’re owed something from the rest of us who have worked hard, for what we have, for our entire life.

C.S. Lewis once said, “We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst” To me, that about sums it up.

At this point I don’t have the solution. I do know we need less government rather than more which by the way, is the choice in the upcoming election. It’s not about Trump or Hillary, it’s about who will give back the government to the people. The government is here to serve the people, not the people the government. We need term limits and have to get rid of the politicians who mostly care about staying in office and taking care of themselves more than taking care of us! By the way, this is true on both sides! If we choose wrong, I’m afraid that some sort of revolution in our Country will take place between those that work for things and those that don’t, before things change or self correct. Throughout history all great Empires have lasted around 250 years or less. Don’t believe me, see below. Well our nation is 240 years old. Now for those of you naysayers who choose to ignore history, go ahead and think things like “it’s different now”, “this won’t happen to us”, “we’re America”, etc. Personally I won’t bet against history as it never lies. No matter what you see on tv or read in the papers, the truth is the truth. So get ready people. I hope you’re all smart enough to see that things have changed in your lifetime and sadly, not for the better. Believe it or not, this will happen and yes, you will feel it. Hell, you’re already feeling it but you just don’t know it. Your food prices are higher yet not as safe, you have less rights (the Senate just voted to allow the govt to read your emails without a warrant, what?) yet you don’t see it, your religious freedom is under attack but again, you choose to ignore it, and on and on. So, first up, get right with God. Then wake the hell up and take a honest realistic look at what our so called leaders are doing under the guise of it being good for you. Really people? Think for yourself before it’s too late, if it’s not already. God Bless.

After a mad rush all morning long with me in Denver and Lori having a crazy day at work, we made it to graduation by 2:30. We parked and walked down to the outdoor theater to take our seats. On the way, and all day, it had been raining and snowing. As soon as we made it in, I realized I needed to go back to the car to get Lori a winter down coat. So off I went. Lucky I did as it was freezing. While we were cold, that was nothing compared to all the kids. Girls in short fancy dresses and heels and the boys in coats and ties. The ceremony was 2 hours long and kids were visually shivering. One nice tradition of our school is that when a senior gets their diploma, the Director of the School calls their name and then their entire family comes up on stage, takes the diploma from the Director, and presents it to their child. This made for some touching moments but made the whole thing last alot longer.

Finally at 5 pm we were through. We rushed home so Jagger could change (Ty was in Denver at Ben’s and still is) and then I drove him and two of his friends to a classmate’s house who was hosting a party for the entire 8th grade. Lori and I then watched some tv trying to stay awake until 10 when we went to pick him up.

Everyone is sleeping now and I need to shower and hit the road to Denver for some errands and to pick up Ty. We might go camping tomorrow if we can get it together, we’ll see. As you know the next week, or actually from Tuesday through June 10th, it’s crazy for us. Time to run, have a good weekend, no politics today. Let’s just pretend somebody like Ronald Reagan is still in office. Back then our President never did anything remotely embarrassing or inappropriate. My how things have changed. This afternoon at 3 we have graduation in town for the school. I think there’s like 4 grades graduating as we’re a K through 12 school. On top of that, it looks like a foggy rainy day.

Yesterday I had my final teeth cemented in. They look really natural and pretty darn good. I go back at 8 this morning for any adjustments I might need and then it’s off to Denver to drop Ty at Ben’s house before heading back up to go to the ceremony around 2pm. Tomorrow we’ll go back down and pick Ty up during the day.

We really need to clean up around here as it’s a mess. No matter how much of a mess it is though, it can’t hold a candle to Hillary’s campaign. It seems she’s imploding every day. Not only did Obama’s State Dept (and her former employer) come out and blast her in a 81 page report yesterday, but now you have her, and her staff, refusing to cooperate with the Independent Investigators enquiry. Yet there’s still some people that think she has done no wrong. People, it’s a democratic administration that is rebuking her! Apparently the Super Delegates are getting nervous and now Bernie and Donald look like they’re going to have a debate without her. There’s lots of clips of her saying she’ll debate anywhere, anytime but now she’s refusing even though she agreed a few months ago. Wonder what she’s afraid of? I’m sorry folks, but appears the end is in sight. Even the left leaning MSNBC is no longer behind her. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it but she brought all this on herself with the endless years of lying and ignoring the rules and assuming she’s somehow better than the rest of us. Like my Mom said, the truth always comes out sooner or later. Now she’s lying daily trying to get the focus off of her. If by any chance she does somehow get elected, we as a country are doomed. She’ll be lucky if she doesn’t get indicted and if a republican wins the White House, she could actually go to prison. So, there you have it, Happy Memorial Day and God Bless.

Lori and I are up, albeit moving slow. We’ll leave for the gym in 14 minutes. Then she has a clinic day, I’m off to the dentist and then Denver, and the boys have school. Today is their last full day although I’m sure not much work will get done. Tomorrow is a half day and then graduation at the amphitheater down in Vail. Hope it doesn’t rain! They say it’ll rain for sure in Denver today with severe storms this afternoon. We sure don’t miss that up here!

Even though the kids are out Friday, today is really the last day of work at school. Jag has  Spanish final and Ty is basically done. Tomorrow is a play day and Friday is a real play day as in a Field Day. Today and Friday they are out at 1pm. Jag and I might run down to Denver this afternoon to get him a sport coat, we’ll see.

The boys are sleeping in today as they don’t have to be there until 9am. The VMS (school) girl’s soccer team won the State Finals yesterday, whoo hoo!

Now for a little fun as this came up at Lori’s work yesterday. No one could name a single accomplishment and then the subject of Hillary’s speeches came up. But before we look at that, did you see the 10 or so vets protesting outside Trump Tower yesterday, it turns out Hillary’s campaign hired them! Unbelievable, just freakin unbelievable.

Now to her speeches. First off, everyone agrees that if a Company is going to pay a lot of money for someone to speak, especially Hillary, they expect something in return for it. So let’s just look at who paid her and how many speeches she gave. Read on and then tell me she wasn’t doing favors or owes some companies for the money she received. On this one, Bernie is 100% right, she has been bought and paid for by corporate America and is absolutely beholding to Wall Street and others.

In its article titled, How Corporate America Bought Hillary Clinton for $21M, The New York Post details the companies and organizations that paid Hillary in speaking fees from 2013-2015.

The total comes to $21.7 million, which is a remarkable sum for one of the least charismatic and unimaginative orators the world has ever known.

This should make everyone sick.

Jag had two finals yesterday and said after school that they were easy, hope he’s right. Today is math and science and then Spanish tomorrow and then he’s finished. Ty meanwhile has Roman Day today where the classroom is decorated like Ancient Rome and they do something. I guess it rained yesterday in Denver but is pretty nice up here. More of the same today. We’re all gearing up for our assorted travel between June 3rd and 10th. After that week, we can relax a bit, at least from the travel standpoint.

Hillary is freaking out as no matter what she says or does, she’s losing ground daily to the Donald. Turns out in a poll, people don’t like either if them but apparently less people like her than him. Her negatives are just so high. There’s one simple way to shut down Hillary supporters and that is to ask them to name one, just one, accomplishment of hers during her political career. Now most people will say she was Secretary of State but that’s just a position, not an accomplishment. No one can name anything she actually did or achieved. It’s so bad that the Tonight Show and others regularly have segments asking people on the streets who support, her the same question, and no one can answer. In fact most answers are quite comical, like she was married to Bill, she ran for President before, she’s a grandma, etc. So if you like Hillary, be honest and ask yourself, just what has she done? At least Trump has built a business empire. Oh well, if we have to pick the lesser of two evils, Go Trump!

It’s a big week around here, lots going on. We have graduation for Jag from Middle School, Ty from 6th grade, hopefully my new front teeth are ready and will finally get cemented in and I need to deplete enough wine to order a container here in Colorado. Throw in a ton of work in Texas and Arizona for me due to my awol employee plus 2 weeks from today my annual Company meeting starts in Seattle (which I haven’t even started to prepare for) and I’m slammed! Lori too has a lot going on but I’m not sure what all she has to do.

Yesterday we drove up towards Leadville to Gold Peak to check out where we can go camping in a few weeks. We did run into a bunch of bear scat, fresh too! The boys and Mojo ran around the woods and climbed some rocks before we came home around 1 and ag started to study for his finals.

Lori and I are both up at 5 as we’re going to the gym. Lori has a training session with one of the trainers as they gave us a bunch a year ago when we joined and I never used them all. Jag wants to go too as he’s into working out these days. Ty said he does too but I’m sure he’ll sleep in. So I’d better get moving as we need to leave in about 20 minutes. I don’t think Lori has been up this early in a long time! Have a good week and GB.

Yesterday it was 77 degrees here and today we’re expecting more of the same. We’re going shooting at the range today and then up towards Leadville to check out our camping spot that we didn’t make it to yesterday.

4 days of school left and Jag has finals every day. He has papers laid out all over the basement and Ty has his projects almost all wrapped up. Jag graduates from Middle School so they have a ceremony at the Gerald Ford Amphitheater Friday afternoon. Then he’s off to High School next year so you all better at least get a card out to him if not a graduation gift. Ty, if he was still in Denver, would be graduating from Elementary School but up here he’s already in Middle School so he’s getting cheated out of a graduation.

One of the family’s who has a girl in Jag’s class volunteered to host a party at their unbelievable home from 7 until 10pm next Friday for all 36 kids in the class. This home is one of the nicest in all of Vail and you can’t even imagine how big it is but still it was nice of them to step up and have a party for all the kids.

Then we have like a week before Jag and I both leave town. We’re trying to figure out how Lori can also get to California as we have no one to stay with Ty or Mojo. Plus Lori needs to leave 2 days before Jag leaves for his college seminar at the University of Texas in Austin. I suggested we all go Memorial Day weekend but I guess that won’t work. Anyhow we’ll figure it out, just lots going on.

That’s about it, a busy week coming up. Hard to believe it’s already May 22nd. Get out and do something fun today, God Bless.
