Wet snow

5:45 right now. I’ve already shoveled half the driveway but thought I’d come in for my morning coffee. It’s a wet snow which means it’s heavy. I’ll knock out the rest after I finish today’s post.

Yesterday I went to Grand Junction and bought about $12,000 worth of whisky. My buddy is selling his store, so I went down, and he sold me all the allocated stuff like Pappy Van Winkle’s and such. I paid about half of the retail price ($6K) so I’ll keep some, like 2012 Dom and Cristal champagne and some rare tequilas and flip the rest for a few thousand dollars profit.

Today I have calls starting at 10am and finishing around noon. Ty works today and Jag is wrapping up school before his week break. He and Ava will be up Friday.

They say it’ll be cold today, like in the 20’s, but it doesn’t seem that bad. Guess the wind will be the issue after the snow is gone.

Yesterday I saw a video of a bunch of professional and college athletes doing the Trump dance over the weekend. This really pisses off the libs and media. But they can’t seem to get away from it as everyone is doing it, ha. Elections have consequences!

My long-time lawyer and friend in Seattle is also one of Mike Tyson’s lawyers. He posted a picture of he and Mike. I told him glad Mike got paid and he told me, that’s exactly why Mike did it! Good for Mike. Paul, my lawyer, is a great guy, I’ve known for 30 years. He did my divorce years ago. He’s now on the board of the Palm Springs Museum of Contemporary Art and still has a bunch of clients in the entertainment business. I need to call him on a new venture I came up with for Jag. It’s pretty exciting.

Time to go, have a great day, God Bless and Go Broncos, CU and Nuggets!

Big Win

Great win by the Broncos yesterday. We didn’t just win, we crushed them. Another weekend sweep with CU and the Broncos winning. Fun time.

Lori made a great coconut cake, and I made beef ribs. Marty and Mel came over to hang out and watch the game. Earlier in the day, we went to the gym, then Costco and the grocery store. It was t-shirt weather outside yesterday. Think there’s a little snow coming tomorrow.

Busy week as next week is Thanksgiving week which is sort of a worthless week work wise. I have a couple new ventures I’m working on, so that’ll be a good time to get some stuff done on those.

Time to get moving. Think I’ll go down to Grand Junction today. I was going Wednesday but my day freed up this morning, so I might as well knock it out.

Have a great day. Good day to be a Colorado football fan! God Bless.

One down, one to go

Big win by the Buffs yesterday, now we just need the Broncos to do the same. Jag and Ava were up late Friday night but were up early and at the pre-game, which was on national tv, and then the game. Afterwards they were “just chillin”, (their words) and taking it easy.

Lori and I went to Costco after the game and then she put the garland up on the stairs. We’re off to the gym this morning and then I’m putting some beef ribs on, so they’ll be ready this afternoon. They take about 5 hours, so I’ll get them in around 9:30. I need to run back to Costco to pick up four rolls of fresh garland for the steel beams out front.

One month until Jag’s birthday, wow. Hard to believe he’ll be 23 years old. Ty is turning 21 two months from today. Where did the time go. We’re seriously thinking about what to do and where we want to be for the next ten years. I don’t even want to think about being in my 70’s but all three of us, me, Robi and Tom, are now all in our mid 60’s, WTF. Hard to comprehend.

Nice up here, clear and a little cool but nothing too bad. Hope everyone is well, have a good Sunday, thank God for everything and may he watch over you. All glory to God!

Up early

We woke up at 5 which is pretty normal for us. When I say, “up early”, I meant for the CU fans, sportscasters and players, as the game kicks off at 10am. That means it’ll be over around 1 which gives us the rest of the day.

Yesterday Harley had her vet appointment here at the house. She has a little thing on her elbow that needs to be taken off, cha ching. I went to Silverthorne and had my windshield fixed. Marty met me and we had his fixed too, all for no charge from my buddy Ben who is the manager at the glass shop.

Last night we watched the Paul/Tyson fight. Poor Mike looked old, but he did make it through all eight rounds and pocketed $20 million. The fight before with two women was brutal. Netflix wasn’t prepared for it though as the streaming kept cutting in and out. Our group was texting, so it wasn’t just us, lots of people had problems. One thing is for sure, no one can beat Father Time.

Students are filling up the pre-game field at CU as they just opened the gates at 6:30. The national pre-game show is in Boulder again. Coach Prime sure put us back on the map. Not sure if Jag is there this morning as he had a friends birthday party last night. He wasn’t too excited about going but had to as it was his buddy’s birthday.

Ty hung out with us until around 9 last night. The two girls I mentioned a month or so ago at his work who identified as they/them, no longer work there. One was caught stealing, by Ty, and when she was fired, the other one quit. Good riddance.

Libs are up in arms about Trumps cabinet picks. RFK is now the head of HHS, which is great! The libs are trying to paint him as a 100% anti-vaxer. This is of course false, just like all their other rhetoric. He is anti MRNA or Covid vax, which he should be. Turns out he was right! If as a parent you want to get your kid the measles vaccine, go ahead. We’re thrilled as he will start to get chemicals out of our food. Right now, in all our water, there are small particles of plastic, everywhere. If all he does is get us in line with European food standards, that’ll be a huge win. Children in the U.S. are the least healthy of all the developed countries in the World, enough said. For the rest of Trumps picks, as Obama famously said 8 years ago, “elections have consequences”, bam.

Time to go, have a great weekend and Sko Buffs and Go Broncos! God Bless.

TGIF

Ty’s back to work this morning. He’s still sore but it is what it is. Lori and I are going to go to the gym, and then at 8:45am. the vet is coming over to see Harley. She’s getting some doggie downers in about 30 minutes.

I need to jump in the truck and drive down and see if I can spot some so-called out of State hunters, that are illegally hunting our neighborhood elk herd in the neighborhood! I say so called hunters, as real hunters don’t try to move elk with trucks or hunt in a residential area. We have the Sherriff’s Dept on them along with CPW, so I’d be surprised if they’re dumb enough to be back out here this morning. We’ll see.

We had cigar night last night. James is getting ready to leave town for a while as he has a benefit concert in L.A. early December and is hoping to wrap up his divorce earlier in the month. He had a pre-nuptial agreement but as I’ve said, money makes people funny. Nowadays sadly, it seems anyone can and will sue, anyone for any reason. If I was ever getting married again, although I probably never would, I would make sure I have a team of lawyers go over everything twice to make sure I was protected. Hard to ever imagine myself getting married again as I’ll never find someone I love as much as my wife. I lucked out when I met her!

Big football games tomorrow and Sunday. We were going to the Bronco game with Ty and Maddie before he hurt his back. Our friends in Denver gladly bought our tickets and will go with their kids.

Time to go, have a great Friday, GB

Trifecta

The GOP now has the Executive Branch, the Senate and the House. This will help get things turned around as quickly as possible. The Dems are still trying to do anything they can to so call Trump Proof their misguided policies that resulted in them losing the election. Guess they haven’t heard who won.

Ty came home last night and is still recouping. He’ll rest again today before going back to work tomorrow. He’s off the muscle relaxers but still taking the steroids.

The weather is nice and it’s not that cold outside. Normally, since we sleep with the windows open, we wake up to a cool room, but not today. I just turned all the thermostats off as Ty had the heat cranking upstairs and it was 78 degrees! Looks like a nice sunny weekend headed our way.

I have a friend who has a horse sanctuary down east of Colorado Springs and they’re already out of hay. Not good with winter coming on. I checked with Davy who is checking with his ranch manager and maybe he has some extra they can spare down in Gunnison, and if so, we’ll get it to Carol for the horses.

I also picked up a couple game cameras at Murdochs to put out in the neighborhood to try to catch the people that are stealing our signs telling them dogs must be on a leash. We have dog parks all around and other places you can run your dog, just not in our area as it stresses out our local elk herd. The herd of 100 ran right in front of Lori in her car when she was driving up the hill last night. It’s pretty amazing to see them all right in front of you as a herd. She has them on video.

I can’t believe people vandalize and destroy signs saying Stop Your Car for Elk and Keep Your Dog on a Leash. Like they don’t have anything better to do. Obviously, they don’t live in the hood. We’re now installing cameras all over the neighborhood and putting up signs that say 24 Hour Surveillance, and others that tell people the parks are closed at dusk. Hopefully that’ll keep the riff raff out.

Guess that’s it, time to get moving. Have a great day and God Bless.

The unseen

Lots going on in the World, and it’s not all is as it seems. Countries, and in turn, people, have been manipulating people for a good decade. Fortunately, things are starting to self-correct. Each of us need to ask ourselves, is all what it seems? I don’t think so as it seems everyone is out for themselves. Don’t get sucked into some too good to be true scenario. If there’s one take away from the last decade, it’s that people will lie to your face and tell you everything is alright or everything is good, while at the same time wanting things from you. Always follow the money. I always say, money makes people funny. Thankfully numerous countries in Europe are now closing their borders. From The Netherlands, to Austria, France, Italy, Germany and others, they now see the error of their ways. We and they were told, let everyone in, it’ll be good for you. Well, that didn’t age well now did it. In a little over 2 months, the cleanse will begin here. In the meantime, get your house in order. Who wants things from you? Are you in any one-way relationships? This can be anything from a company overcharging you for services you don’t need to an endless number of subscriptions you don’t even know you’re paying for. Do you have a relative sucking money or wanting from you for nothing in return? Thankfully this doesn’t really apply to any of us. Point is, step back and look at your life as see if you’ve been conditioned into thinking, acting, or paying for anything you’ve been told is normal or good for you. They tried to alter our daily way of life and the way we think as free people. They’ve been indoctrinating our children for decades in schools and us too, to not think for ourselves and believe what they tell us they want us to believe. Thank God the election turned out the way it did and rang the alarm bell for the people. Watch out and question any and everything in your life. The thought and money suckers are still trying to take from you and hold onto power. Be the free thinker our parents fought for and put yourself first.

Now on to the day, no snow up here. Lori is in Frisco today. My neck is getting better, but we found out yesterday that Ty has a torn disc in his lower back. We’re hoping a couple days rest, and a round of steroids will calm things down. He had a MRI and saw Dr. Braxton all before noon.

All kinds of NFL analysts posted numerous calls that were either made up or missed in the Chiefs win over the Broncos. They all called out the officiating and said the NFL has become a joke. These are not Denver fans, but unbiased professional people in sports, enough said. The Chiefs are like the Patriots of the 90’s and early 2000’s, what a joke football has become.

I texted with Tasha yesterday. She’s still a little raw from her mom’s passing a couple weeks ago but is processing. We’ll see her around the end of April next year and do something here.

6:20am now, time to move and groove. Make it a great day. Looks like the Republicans have won the House too. This will make America’s comeback tour that much easier. No more hiding our true beliefs for the unhinged libs out there. Speak up! There’s not a thing wrong with an America First attitude no matter what they tell you. If you think there is, go back and read the beginning of the post. Don’t be one of those that are taken advantage of, anymore or in the future. Time to go back ten years in time and reclaim our independence. You are your own person! God Bless.

43 Days until Christmas!

Hard to believe Christmas is six weeks out, that also means like 49 days until the end of the year.

Yesterday after my conference call, I headed over to Frisco to meet Marty and go to Whole Foods. The rest of the day I spent around the house waiting for Ty’s phone to arrive via UPS. Today I have some phone calls and computer work to do.

We slept until about 6 which is late for us. Might get a dusting of snow today, but it’ll clear out tomorrow. It’s mix of mist and fog with almost zero visibility outside right now.

Ty’s back is out this morning. He lifted something at work a week or so ago and it’s been hurting him since then. Lori will get him in for an MRI later today. Thank God we don’t pay full price for those. They’re normally $2000 dollars but I think we pay $100.

6:45am now, time to get moving. Have a great Tuesday and God Bless.

Veterans Day

Broncos outplayed the Chiefs yesterday and should have won. A blocked field goal with one second to go, gave them the win. The guy that blocked it came over the center which is illegal but of course, it wasn’t called. Not surprising though, as strange calls, and no calls, always happen when anyone plays the Chiefs. Still, we beat them everywhere except on the score board.

Veterans Day today, thank a vet as freedom isn’t free. Too bad all the election deniers on social media don’t understand that. This crap wouldn’t fly in Russia or Iran or China. Think back to when Obama and Biden won, there was none of this insane stuff from people like there is right now. One of the boys’ best friends’ moms from elementary school had her friend of 30 years call her and demand to know who she voted for. When she said that’s private, the woman said I can no longer be friends with you as you voted for Trump. This after being friends for 30 years! I can’t imagine acting like this, no matter what. Lori told Andrea she was never really your friend in the first place if she’ll throw away 30 years over who you voted for. There are tons of threats on social media from libs saying they’ll move out of the USA, (please do), they’ll abstain from sex for four years, (again please do), and that they’ll even poison or kill Trump voters. That’s not ok. Where’s the FBI or the DOJ? If this was conservative people making threats, they’d be breaking doors down.

That’s my rant for the day. I’m done now. No more politics as even though I’m off Facebook, just because of this kind of crap, I’m now staying off Twitter or X, for the next month or so. People just need to chill. Everything will be alright. We survived four years of Biden, or should I say Obama 2.0 and we’ll survive four years of Trump 2.0. The funny thing is they’re saying he’s going to do all this crap which he didn’t do when he was in the first time. It’s just too much, time to stop.

Today we’re around the house. I have a call at 9am to tell the team they don’t get to go to Italy and France in January, (I was taking them all) as they haven’t performed well the past few months. I’m not one to reward poor performance. They didn’t earn it, so they don’t deserve it.

My neck is sore from lifting a few days ago. I need to stay off weights for a while and will just do cardio. Not sure if Lori is going into the office or not today. Have a great week, stay safe, be well and God Bless.

Funny math

Looks like Arizona went for Trump too, by 6 points, but the Senate race still hasn’t been decided. I’m not one to push the cheating theory, but since the libs are all over the internet saying Trump cheated, isn’t it hard to believe that Trump swept every single swing State, yet Dem Senate candidates won in all but one? Facts show that when one party wins the top of the ticket, down ballot candidates from the same party, benefit over 96% of the time, hmmm. Also how come it takes so long for some States, all run by Democrat Governors, to still not have counted all the votes. These include California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Colorado, all blue States. Hard to believe that it’s just a coincidence.

Up here at the ranch, we hung out most of the day. Lori made some homemade chicken soup and I took some up to Davy and Wes (his 5-year-old) as Wes caught the flu from Davy. Abby and River are at a hockey tournament in Steamboat. Lori then tried to take it easy for the day to let her neck calm down. We drove to the gym but skipped it when we arrived as she was hurting too much. After seeing Ty for breakfast, we headed home. I spent the afternoon watching CU crush Texas Tech and move into second place in the Big 12. Remember, we were picked to come in second to last this year!

No new snow. Lots of birds at the bird feeders. The deer like it too but it’s not really good for them. Broncos are on at 11 this morning. I’m hoping they beat the Chiefs as when the Buffs win, the Broncos have won too.

Colorado, or should I say Denver, passed an amendment that adds a 6.5% tax on guns and ammo as the State spent all the mental health money on illegals, so they pushed this through to get more money to make up for misappropriating their funds. This goes into effect April 1st next year so at least gun stores will see a bump in business before then. Lori said, we’d better stock up, ha. Atta girl.

Jag is doing fine. Ty is off today. My buddy Shultz offered me his CU tickets for the game the day after Thanksgiving. Haven’t decided if we’ll go or not. James wants us all to go to New Zealand to hunt red stag in March. I talked with Davy and Marty, and we think it’s just too much money, plus Lori and I are in Costa Rica fishing and at a conference March 8th to the 17th. Then in late May, we’re headed somewhere in Europe for Jag and Ava’s graduation trip.

So, lots going on now and in 2025. November 10th, wow, 51 days left in the year. Better get going so I don’t waste the day. Yellowstone is on tonight! I know Robi and Bobby will be watching too, God Bless.
