A couple inches

Not much snow up here, 2, 2 and a half inches at most. Looks all winter white outside.

Yesterday after some work, we ran up to the gourmet kitchen store in Edwards to return a couple of cake pans I bought the day before. While there, with Lori, she found some fun holiday things for the house. After that, we stopped to see Ty and then headed home.

On the way home we stopped at our little pocket park as the Vail Daily newspaper came down to take some pictures as a few of us residents organized a ribbon cutting of our new neighborhood signs that say, Keep Your Dogs on a Leash, and Elk Crossing. People, who don’t live up here, come up and let their dogs run off leash and they chase the deer and elk which stress them out. Our elk herd has gone from over 250 to around 100, just in the last few years with all the so-called progress in Eagle. I’ve been trying to get security gates put in down the hill, which is an uphill battle. We decided yesterday to put up cameras on poles on the streets to deter criminal activity. We don’t have any right now, (knock on wood), but want to get ahead of things.

Today the CU game is on at 3. Not sure if we’re going to the gym as Lori’s neck is sore and the roads probably are not in great shape. It’s sort of raining really light outside right now. Could be light snow, hard to tell.

That’s it, have a great day and get ready for Yellowstone tomorrow! I know Robi and Robert will be watching. God Bless.

Coddling

We read that elite universities are cancelling classes and coddling students that can’t deal with the election. Well, that’s one way to teach them to be an adult and move on with their lives. Good job to those liberal day care centers. This will make for a future strong generation of people in a few years. I am actually shocked at how some people have reacted to Trump’s victory. No one I know was happy when Obama or Biden won, but I can’t remember a single person or issue of people melting down. Women on social media are shaving their heads, (that’ll help) and saying they’re going to abstain from sex for four years, which will actually help the gene pool by eliminating more children in adult clothing. It was funny at first, (still kind of is), but these people need psychological help. This is not normal. Hope they get the help they so desperately need.

Yesterday I met Ty at Costco to get him a new phone. Lori and I will head to the gym in a bit and then we’ll enjoy the nice sunny day up here and put up some more Christmas decorations. I drove up valley in the afternoon to deliver James Rush two pans of enchiladas and all the trimmings for correctly predicting the great victory a few days ago. It’s still surreal that we won. We’re so happy for us and the Country and have a much better feeling about the future for the boys.

Davy went to ER yesterday on Lori’s direction and turns out he has Influenza A, meaning the flu. He’s now on Tamiflu and should be better in a couple of weeks. Tons of snow in Denver but nothing up here. Nice and dry and sunny with temps in the 30’s or maybe even the 40’s. This truly is God’s Country.

Jag is fine, he’ll be hunkering down today, unless classes are closed, and then he should head up here. Time to get going. Have a great day, be well, stay safe, and watch out for those few unhinged people out there that can’t face reality, God Bless.

Unhinged

Wow, yesterday the left was in full melt down. From libs crying and screaming all over social media, to the left-wing media melting down saying women will be put in camps, to a few people that work at the hospital not showing up for work, as in their words, they just can’t handle it, people were unbelievably acting like spoiled toddlers who didn’t get what they wanted at the candy store. Even our accountant of 30 years in Seattle said he was in mourning and wasn’t sure if he could accept the outcome of the election. As I watched all this, it was hard to believe these people were actually functioning adults. In a couple lib cities like Seattle, Chicago and Philly, you had some small protests as well, but much less than I anticipated. They were probably caught off guard and didn’t expect to lose.

On the other hand, surprisingly, most Dem politicians got the message and acknowledged that they screwed up and are out of touch with the majority of America. Not sure how they didn’t know this last week. I guess they thought they could sail through to victory with a bunch of celebs and the media on their side. And oh, it’s clear, the days of celebrity endorsements helping, is over. No one cares what they think, and we even now resent them for thinking that they, in their multimillion dollar homes, with private security and private jets, have any right to tell us anything much less how to vote. The big transformation is that the working-class people of America are now Republicans. This used to be the foundation of the Democratic party, but no longer. They’re now the party of elites and celebs, and frankly, no one likes them anymore. What a shift.

It was for the most part, calm yesterday. Lori said no one in her office even mentioned the election. Maybe they were still in shock. The adults in the room, those that voted for Trump, (a little dig, ha), didn’t throw it in people’s faces, didn’t gloat or do anything else that could have been easily justified after being called stupid, fascists, and even Nazi’s for the past few months, for supporting him. I mean did the Dems really think they could get people to vote for them by calling them names. Guess they did.

Hamas has called for an end to the war, (that didn’t take long), Ukraine said it would like peace, (guess they too got the message) and other countries are lining up to congratulate Trump and make sure they’re on his, or our, good side. They remember and know; that Trump won’t mess around and means what he says. Change is already happening for the better and the guy hasn’t been elected for even 24 hours. Says a lot.

Yesterday afternoon I had a doctor appointment for a checkup, and all is well. I stopped and saw Ty and then headed home. Lori showed up a few minutes later. No new snow up here and the roads are dry and clear. Looks like Denver is getting hit today.

Lori is making enchiladas today for James Rush as he won the bet saying Trump would win. I decided I have some new pronouns, We/ Won, bwaaahh. Couldn’t help myself. Yesterday had to be a record for memes on social media, with most being too offensive to post, but man were they funny.

America will not only survive but I believe will once again prosper. This was a turning point in history and thankfully things turned the right way. Have a great day and if your upset or know someone who is, don’t gloat but rather comfort them telling them everything will be all right, which it will. Of course, there are still whack jobs out there who will not accept this outcome, so keep your head on a swivel.

God Bless everyone and may God Bless America.

A New Beginning

What a night! Looks like the Republicans, or should I say, the people, won the Presidency, the Senate and the House. I say the people as Trump also won the popular vote. You still have a few people in denial, (like Obama) but in the end, I think Trump could get over 300 electoral votes, a clean sweep.

Holding power in all three branches of government allows for a lot to get done. No more Russia collusion or obstruction, no more not bringing bills to the floor. Liberals on social media are melting down. You see things like our Country is dead, women will no longer have rights, you’ll never get to vote again, and on and on. Not really any Republicans gloating, although after the Trump is Hitler and a fascist crap for the last month, they certainly could and some would say, should. Looks like the party of joy and tolerance lost. In the end, division and running a campaign on hating your opponent rather than saying what you’ve done and will do, didn’t work. It’s a great day for America.

We stayed up until a little after midnight watching it all. My phone was blowing up with everyone from our cigar group watching and texting. I had a long-standing bet (over a year) with James Rush that if Trump won, he’d get a pan of Lori’s enchiladas and if Trump lost, I’d get any case of ammo I wanted. Lori says not only is she going to make James two pans of enchiladas, but she’ll make them for everyone!

Up here, we had snow yesterday but there’s maybe only an inch or so outside. Think Denver is getting it right now, but we should be done. Lori works in Vail today and I’ll be around the house. It’s 6am now and we only got a little over 5 hours of sleep, but it was well worth it.

Watch for riots and civil disobedience from the so-called party of joy and inclusion. They’re not going to take this well. As I said, it is a new beginning, and I think things will instantly get better starting next year. The border will be closed, crime will go down, the economy will get better and on and on. My question is, how could anyone vote against any of that? The Dems of course, are going to try to spend as much money and will continue destroying the Country as much as they can over the next 75 days. They are actually doing whatever they can to sabotage Trump before he gets in. This isn’t a surprise as Obama did this on his way out when Trump won the first time. A big question is who has been running the Country? It’s certainly not Joe Biden. He can’t even walk across a room. Our Country has been being run by Obama and his cronies for a long time now. Thank God and the American people for understanding what was at stake. And let’s not forget about all those celebrities. You’d think JFK and LAX would be overcrowded today with all of them leaving the Country, as they promised. The sad thing is, I no longer look at them the same way. I love Will Ferrel but look at him in a different light now. As for the countless other celebs, I’m sure their agents are not happy that they decided to wade into the abyss. Trump supporters or should I say, patriots and those that love our Country, are not the minority, we’re the majority!

That’s it, time to go, remember this historic day as it was complete domination, and the people have spoken. God Bless America and God Bless Donald Trump. Time to Make America Great Again!

Hold on

If Trump wins, there will be riots. If Harris wins, I think all will be calm. That should tell you who the party of joy and tolerance is. Yesterday the celebs were rolled out. Oprah said if Trump wins, this is probably the last time you’ll ever get to vote, WTF? I don’t know about you, but anything, any celebrity tells me to do, I’m doing the opposite. These people are such whack jobs and somehow think that because they’re on tv or in the movies, or can sing, they’re smarter and better than you. My buddy, who plays guitar and sings, said he would never, under any circumstances, try to tell anyone else how to live their life, much less vote. There’s another difference between the two parties. One thinks they know how you should live your life and how you should think, while the other believes you know what’s best for you and your family. How is this thing even close? God help us.

Last night we had Ben and Eleni over for dinner. They’re driving to Palm Desert California tomorrow morning. They have a place there. Lori works in Edwards today and I have a call at 10 before heading out for some errands.

Ty had a big bear on their porch last night. He sent a bunch of pictures. Soon all the bears will be hibernating. They should be asleep by now, but we’ve had a nice late start to Winter. He works today and I’ll stop and see him around lunch time on my way home.

I’m avoiding the tv all day long. No point in watching as it’s nothing but non-stop projections, (which are just guesses) from useless talking heads. Be well, stay safe and pray for the best, God Bless.

It’s here

Snow that is. Not much, maybe an inch bit nothing on the roads. Think they were too warm from the sun to hold anything. Looks like Wednesday we’ll get a better dose. The news says it’s 32 outside right now. Looks like Golden might have more snow than us.

Saturday night at a party in Ft. Collins, Ty was blindsided and jumped and knocked to the ground and choked by some loser he didn’t know. No one would give up the kids name but we think some people there know who he was. Ty will need to file a police report today, not that it’ll do any good. Just another example of people out of control and why you need to have your head on a swivel at all times. Ty is off today which is good. Thankfully he’s ok. These days you have to look at everyone as a potential threat. So sad. Having today off, gives him another day to rest up for work. Four shootings in Denver last night and one up in Greeley where a 19-year-old was shot at college. It’s getting even worse out there, which is hard to believe. It’s as though you can’t live in cities anymore. People are getting what they vote for, more illegals, more crime, less police, and more. We’re getting to the point where we won’t come back from this crap, especially if the Dems win.

Thankfully the election is over tomorrow, or at least the voting should be. Turns out the media airs 85% positive stuff for Dems and 89% negative for Republicans. Saturday Night Live even knowingly violated FCC rules and had Harris on over the weekend. They’ve admitted they made a mistake, (oh that makes up for it), and the FCC is after them, but there’s no way to make it right 24 hours before the polls close. Just another example of the elites telling you who to vote for. Anyone with a brain should realize that if the government and media want you to vote for this person, you need to vote for the other. Just ask yourself, how’s your life been the last 4 years, it’s that simple. Amazing that things are basically tied, with all the lies and bias against Trump and for Harris. Hopefully the power of the people is greater than the few elites that control the media, we’ll soon see. In any case, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

The house between Davy and us just went under contract for $3,825,000. This is great news as it shows the neighborhood is holding its value and makes us worth over $3 million. Their house is a little larger, but it only has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and we have 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Keep it going. If we get anywhere close to that price, we’re out of here.

Lori has our Christmas tree up. It’s looking good with all of our ornaments. Each one holds a memory, either from when I was a kid or from when the boys were young or from Lori’s childhood. Good memories.

Time to get going, have a great day, stay safe, and God Bless.

Big game

Daylight Savings time is here. This means it’s now 6am rather than 7 am which it was 24 hours ago. It’s still dark but the sun will be coming up shortly.

Yesterday I brought the tree in from the garage and Lori put a couple dozen ornaments on. She’ll be busy today decorating the tree and the house.

Ty went to Ft. Collins and hopefully will be on the road in a couple hours to beat the snow. Looks like a few inches here at the house tonight and tomorrow, but we could get more Wednesday.

Doesn’t really feel like November 3rd. Feels more like September 3rd. Fall went quick. As you get older, you need to try to savor each moment, especially during the holidays. The holiday channels are already on the radio. That should help get us in the mood.

6:30am now and the sun is starting to come up. Lori is still sleeping but should be up shortly. Have a great Sunday and God Bless.

Hanging in there

The weather is still nice. Snow is coming next week, maybe on Monday. I guess another round comes in Wednesday. Bring it on.

Ty has the next few days off and Jag and Ava have a break this weekend as CU is on a bye week. We ended up not going to the office party last night, as Dr. B and Lori decided no need to go as it wasn’t important and they didn’t want to hang out with any of those people anyhow.

I think Ty is going to Ft. Collins today. He’ll be back tomorrow. We took down all the Halloween decorations yesterday and will probably get the tree in the house today. The neighbors across the way already have Christmas lights up! Lori is not happy! She’ll be on a mission now. Stay out of her way. Right now, she’s mapping out where to move some huge candles we have that are where the tree goes.

Not sure what we’re doing today other than getting some decorations in. It doesn’t really feel like Christmas is 7 weeks away. I’ll probably catch some football and just hang out. Right now, we have to run up the street and let Juno the bulldog, outside. We’re pet sitting as Davy, Abby and the kids are in Nashville until tomorrow.

Looks like the low 20’s outside right now but it doesn’t seem that cold. Have a great Saturday, God Bless.

November

Here we go, 61 days left in the year. We have three birthdays, three holidays and probably a bunch of weather. Lots going on over the next two months.

We had maybe 15 or 20 kids last night as Dea had three other families with her when they showed up. Davy, Abby, River and Wes showed up around an hour later. They hit Vail first. Wes, who is 5 years old, told Abby (his mom) and I quote, “focus mom, focus, trick or treat”, a few minutes after they walked in the house. He was clearly on a mission and didn’t want to waste any time watching his parents visiting with us. Too funny, guess you had to be there, but a 5-year-old saying, Mom, focus, focus, was hilarious.

Today the Halloween stuff will come down and Christmas will start going up. Probably just the tree tomorrow and then Lori will take the week getting the other stuff up. We’re going to be much smarter about what we buy and spend money on this year as the money just isn’t available. No matter what Joe and Kamala tell you, disposable income is way down.

Lots going on at work. Happily, a number of really good things are happening. A really cool VC firm out of New York wants to buy our Brand Lab. We don’t want to sell though, just yet, so it looks like they want to buy a stake in what we are doing, which is developing new brands. A few other things are happening too, all good. Of course, we still have some challenges with some of the smaller estates, but we’re working our way through those.

Snow next week, so they say. We haven’t had anything measurable yet which is nice. The later the better. Have a great Friday, be well and stay safe, God Bless.

Halloween

Last day of October, kids will be out tonight. We won’t have a lot but will get the neighbors. We have a big bag of candy so each kid will get like 10 or 20 candy bars. No snow on the ground and it’ll be 50 degrees today so that works.

I have a monthly call at 10:45 until noon and then will be chasing the last few orders of the month to try to get them in today.

The news just ranked Colorado as having the most difficult ballot to read and understand. It said you have to have the equivalent of 22 years of education to understand it, nice. So even the ballot itself is filled with misleading language trying to fool voters into voting for their amendment. That is a direct result of the Secretary of State (the idiot I mentioned yesterday) who authorizes what ballots say. Of course, with her being a democrat, which side do you think the language favors? What a joke. Hope they lose. We’d give anything for Colorado to turn red again.

At least soon, it’ll be over. Something has to change. We need term limits, but does anyone really think politicians will vote to fire themselves? I don’t think so. This is how great civilizations fail. History proves it time and time again.

Time to go, have a great last day of October and get ready for November, God Bless.
