Big week

In a couple days we’re headed to California. Jag had a fun time at Tommy’s. They had a house full of people. We hung out and Ty went to the skate park for the afternoon. Today we’re around the house and then tomorrow I’m in Denver and Lori is at work before we leave on Wednesday. It’ll be good to just take a plane somewhere, even if it’s Sacramento.

Couldn’t get Mojo up last night from his bed outside our bedroom door so we just put a blanket over him and let him sleep. It was warm so it was ok. He’s fading these days. His legs and body are just giving out. Lori gave him some tramadol and cbd after our walk to help him.

Jag got all A’s on his midterms and Ty has school today. He’ll miss Thursday as we’ll be in California. Speaking of trips, we’re planning some for the summer. By air and land, more to come.

Make it a great day, GB.

He is Risen

Happy Easter! He is Risen. That’s the greeting Christians all around the World greet each other with today. I think you know what it means, if not, google it, ha.

Nice and warm up here. Ty was at the skate park after setting up his new deck (skate board top) that Jagger gave him for his birthday. Lori did manage to get her nails done and I was at the fly fishing shop with JT and Emily going through my gear making sure it’s good to go. Ty and I are going on a float trip the week after we’re back from Sacramento. Hope Jag can get up too after his fraternity ceremony on the 18th. I’d love for both boys to get into it.

Lee and Margaret (our cousins) invited us over for dinner this afternoon but we passed. We’d rather be in the sun and we’re watching what we eat trying to get in shape. It’s been a tough year, even if you’re the type that rolls with the punches. The change in our lives, masks, restrictions, the struggling economy, Lori switching jobs, the school situation, etc., all adds up. I think everyone aged probably 5 years in a year, no matter who you are. We need to get back to our normal way of life and living. Most everyone I run into or know is ready to ditch the mask. Half or more of the people out there wear cloth masks which don’t work anyhow. Time to just take them off.

I need to get everyone’s passports updated as we’re thinking of going to Costa Rica in June. Friends have a beautiful house right on the beach on the Pacific side we can use and United now has a direct flight, fun.

Mojo is having a hard time walking, a bit harder than usual. His back end is almost skin and bones as he’s lost most of his hair. He’s still a two year old though in his mind. Harley is a two year old and acts like it everyday. She plays with her toys, chews them up and runs and bounces around and is just having fun every minute of the day. Oh to be two!

Happy Easter, remember Christ died for your sins, be thankful and may God Bless you.

4321

Get it? 4th month, 3rd day, 21st year, 4321! Must mean something to somebody.

Onto the day. Warm weather is here, thank God. Aspen was so nice that we were in t-shirts with no coat. We had a nice afternoon and both had our hair done and it turned out as good if not better (was better) than Denver. So we have that off our list. Today Lori is getting her nails done and that’s about it. We will color some Easter eggs this afternoon and then just hang out.

Things are turning around for the better. Don’t let anyone (like the news) tell you any different. Think for yourself.

We’re getting ready for our trip. Once we get back we’ll be well on the way to summer. Super excited for some fly fishing and road trips. Tommy, still have your fly fishing gear? Dig it out!

Need to get moving. Time to hit the gym. Be well, stay safe and God Bless.

Aspen

We’re headed to Aspen this afternoon so Lori can get her hair done. Up first is some work here and Lori is getting her nails done. Oh the work women have to do.

Yesterday Lori and I went to lunch with Jim and Julie, friends from Denver. They have this spectacular house that the Bronco’s owner Pat Bowlen used to own. They’re super nice and fun. We all decided we need to hang out a lot more. It was a fun lunch and we made it home about 2:30. At 4 I headed to James’s house as he’s home for another 10 days before heading back to California. They’ve been writing a ton of songs and are about to finish up a new album. My buddy Rob came up and James’s son Castor did too along with another buddy. We had fun sitting on the deck until about 7 when I headed home to catch the Nuggets beat the Clippers, whoo hoo. The Rockies beat the World Champion Dodgers too, ha. We were suppose to be in last place all year. That’s over now! So all in all a great day.

Warm weather is here. 70 today. Jag is going to Tom’s for Easter. That’s great for him and them. Also a much easier drive for Jag. Tommy will probably have a much better spread too!

Hopefully all the snow is done until Fall. We could use some rain just for the moisture. Haven’t had rain it seems for years. Time to get moving. It’s a holy weekend, remember He is Risen! God Bless.

April 2021

I remember when we were kids April 1st was fun as it’s April Fools Day. We’d always come up with some prank or joke to pull on our parents or friends. Was thinking about putting one in the blog but didn’t. If anyone has any fun memories, send an email if you can’t post a comment and I’ll put them in. I need to call and figure out why we can’t read comments.

I was down and up yesterday in pretty good time. Apparently they closed the highway for something after I made it through. Not sure what was going on but it doesn’t take much to screw up thousands of peoples day. Just one truck or car blocking the road will do it.

So glad we live up here. We keep looking at Arizona property as it looks nice and warm down there. Tommy and I were talking and said if we both moved we could start golfing. After all, that’s what old people do right!

Ty has a meeting with his Spanish teacher after school and then is working out at 4. I’m headed to James at 5 and should be home by 6:30. Lori is working from home today. It’s opening day for the Rockies today. We’re picked to finish last so you know what I say, Go Rockies! 80 degrees this weekend, whoo hoo. That’s it, happy April. Warm weather is on the way, God Bless.

April!

Last day of March. Been a long winter. Not so much weather wise but you know what I mean. Last night Lori said it seems like some bad movie with ads on tv saying “get vaccinated”. Sort of like a sifi movie, right?

The govt. doesn’t want to give up their new found control over everyone so now we’re hearing of the 4th Wave. Now I’m getting old but I don’t remember the 2nd or 3rd wave. Am I the only one that missed them? People are just saying no Worldwide. Our govt. is out of control. Unchecked spending will be a huge issue down the road. We will have to pay for it. You need to remember, they are spending YOUR money. The govt. has no money, it all comes from you, the taxpayer. A report came out yesterday saying the administration is spending $284,000 annually per illegal family or roughly $392 per night. Don’t know about you but when we stay in a hotel, it’s not $392 a night. Yes we can just keep printing money but if so you need to have your income go up accordingly as everything will cost more and you’ll need more money to pay for it. When I was in high school a new Porsche 911 was about $12K. I know this as I carried a picture of one in my wallet. Now the same car is $180K, you do the math. Good God.

Time to move on. I’m stopping to see Jag this morning before a couple of work stops in the city and then I’ll head home. Lori is in Vail and Ty will stay here. He was going to go with me but I think he wants to sleep in. Make it a great day, God Bless.

Here comes the sun

There’s a dusting of snow outside on the grass but that’s it. Warm temps are on the way. Looks like it’s snowing in Denver on the news. Lori is in Edwards today and I’m home. Tomorrow I go to Grand Junction. Ty’s working out at noon.

We need a break, all of us, right? Sleepy Joe now wants everyone to keep wearing masks. Not going to happen. In fact, most of the masks people have been wearing don’t do any good anyhow. Cloth masks don’t filter out much of anything. People need to just live their lives. Anyone who doesn’t think the govt. has overreached (when haven’t they with anything?) has their head where the sun don’t shine. Wake up.

Wonder how history will look back on this mess. I suspect not well. I’m sure it’ll come out that China did in fact develop and release (possibly on purpose) the virus. The truth will come out. Again, how is it that the politicians don’t get sick? Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and all these octogenarians seem all immune. And if we all really need to go into forced lockdown again, why in the hell are they letting all these people in at the border, not testing them and then releasing them across the Country? Doesn’t make sense does it. As I said yesterday, you can’t make this shit up. All of this is 100% proof that the government is not capable of handling much of anything on a Country wide level. This is why States rights and State and local government is so critical to keep in place. I often wonder what dad would think and do. I’m sure he would not be pleased or agree with the federal response. He’d be his own man and think and do for himself and his family which is exactly what we all need to do too. So go get it done and God Bless.

Sunny and warm

When you have a day like yesterday, it’s hard to believe there’s so much crap going on in the World. It was 60 degrees and beautiful. After morning coffee Lori and I went to the gym before picking up Ty at Sonny’s. By the time we made it home it was 11 am. After a quick shower I went to wash the Mercedes. Next up was dropping Ty at the skate park after he helped clean up around here. Then Lori and I spent a leisurely afternoon hanging out at home. She even laid outside to get some sun! To top it all off, the Nuggets won big!

This morning I have a few errands and a conference call. Lori is working from home today and Ty has school and then is working out from 3 to 4. Jag is well and tomorrow we have one cooler day before it really warms up for the rest of the week.

Shopping these days for basic essentials sure is a shocker. Hard to believe how everything has gone up so much. Gas is $1 a gallon more today than it was a year ago, thanks Joe. Finally Saturday Night Live went after Joe, about time. Guess they figured out even they can’t blame Trump anymore. 13 and 15 year old girls, attacked and killed a 66 year old Uber driver in Washington D.C. and CNN called it an accident, wow. The mayor of D.C. blamed car jacking victims for making their cars easy targets when the only way not to have a chance of getting car jacked in D.C. is to not drive. You can’t make this shit up and they say it with such a straight face. How people like Joe, Kamala and this D.C. Mayor get elected much less keep their jobs is beyond me. As I’ve said before, people who vote for these losers will wake up once things start affecting them. Good luck with that, God Bless, have a great day and week, and for God’s sake, think for yourself!

Here’s Mojo in doggie jail from the other day!

Fun dinner

Last night at 6, Dr. Braxton (Ernie) and his wife Molly arrived for dinner. 4 hours later after a great meal and a lot of fun, they headed home. He’s a really great guy who is really smart. They’ve been married about 2 1/2 years and of course both love Lori and depend on her immensely. At one point Molly whispered something to Ernie and then he asked Lori if by chance they could come back from their Mexico vacation a day after scheduled as they’re going in a couple weeks. Lori said she’d check but it was funny as here was the surgeon sheepishly asking Lori for permission to stay on vacation an extra day. Lori really is in charge.

Ty stayed at Sonny’s and Mojo slept outside for most of the day hooked up to a long lead. He was tired from his little adventure. This morning I think we’ll go to the gym and then probably go get Ty. It was super nice up here yesterday in the mid 60’s with warmer weather today and tomorrow. Bring it on.

Make it a great day! Enjoy, God Bless.

Mojo

Every day Mojo wanders around outside enjoying the new house and property. He must go in and out 20 or 30 times a day. Yesterday afternoon I saw him with some kind of bone chewing away and Lori went and took it away from him. An hour later or so we looked outside and couldn’t find him. So we spent the next 3 hours or more searching everywhere for him. Lori drove up and down the entire neighborhood with Ty for hours and I walked everywhere with a flashlight as it was getting dark. The neighbors helped too driving their little truck around the bike path. In the end, around 10 pm, he was nowhere to be found. The problem is he just can’t hear anymore so he could be hanging out somewhere not knowing we were looking for and calling him. He also could have followed some elk or deer as he liked to do that a bit but would never go too far. It was warm last night so that’s good. We’re having coffee now and then heading out in the daylight to look for him.

Sometimes old animals and dogs just wander off and lay down. He has a hard time getting up sometimes so we might find him lying somewhere. We’ll see. No ones fault, just one of those things as like I said before, Mojo would go in and out every hour all day and night. We’ll keep everyone posted.

UPDATE, 8:17 AM, MOJO HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS IN DOGGIE JAIL AT THE ANIMAL SHELTER! NO MORE WANDERING FOR HIM!

The rest of the day was fine. Nothing much to say about that. Be well, stay safe and God Bless.
