Glenwood

This morning Ty and I are headed to Glenwood to drop his truck to be fixed. Not sure how long they’ll have it, but it needs to get in. This afternoon the Dish TV guy comes to fix our tv’s. Lori is in Frisco and Ty has school from 12 to about 4.

I had a good two hour range session yesterday and went through probably six boxes training. It was too cold at 10 in the morning, so my buddy and I rescheduled for 2 in the afternoon. He’s off to Phoenix today for some work before heading up to Vegas for the annual Shot Show next week.

Biden is off his rocker as they say. He called Kamala President Harris again yesterday and is so mixed up it’s clear he isn’t all there. Everyone knows it yet they keep sending him out there with a script to read. Now there’s talk of Hillary running again. We’ve made politics so toxic, good people don’t want to run. God help us.

Time for coffee. Have a great day and God Bless.

Cold

Yesterday we didn’t get above 20 degrees! Hopefully today it’ll be warmer. We need some sun to help with the melting. Ty started off staying home but then had me take him around 11 to school. I think both he and Lori have the vid but there are no tests around. One of Lori’s P.A.’s tested positive yesterday afternoon after working all day with Lori and others. Hopefully Lori is still negative.

Lori needs to get a test this morning so we’ll see. Ty goes to school at 9. I need to wake him soon and see how he’s doing. Jag thought he was getting a bug but is all better as of yesterday. Time for this crap to end already.

We had the oven clock fixed yesterday and our Dish tv tomorrow. I’m back at the range today for some training. Should be done by noon.

Lots of places pushing mandates. Don’t fall for it. These guys will have us getting endless numbers of shots. Right now most people with Omi are vaccinated according to studies released in Germany and Europe. Hard to believe anything they tell us here in the U.S. As I said yesterday, to each their own.

Time to move. Make it a great day. God Bless.

Warming up

Looks like a warm week. At least until the weekend. This is welcome news. Hopefully I’ll get the snow cleared out before the next storm.

Last night we had a blast at James house. The food was good but the game was great. Glad the Raiders won. Ty isn’t feeling well so we’ll check his temperature this morning before we take him to school.

Hopefully this week the flu or Omi or whatever it is will peak. Hard to believe we’re almost midway through the month. We have the fridge guy coming today and on Wednesday the tv guy. Lori with her amazing ability to fix just about anything, figured out how to get the football games on tv yesterday. We might be able to just stream all our shows and save $5000 a year on cable! Unbelievable that tv costs that much these days.

Shortages of just about everything are everywhere. This includes workers which for some reason are quitting jobs everywhere. This is mostly due to all the free money the govt. is sending out. Turns out covid cases have also been overstated everywhere and now the govt. is changing their tune as it isn’t good for their narrative. Apparently they’ve been inflated by over 50%. On top of that you have a sitting Justice of the Supreme Court caught saying Omicron is as bad as Delta which everyone knows is 100% false and also inflating figures of cases in kids saying there are 100,000 kids hospitalized. Even the CDC corrected her saying there are only 3500 kids nationwide and that Omi is way less severe than the Delta variant. Wow, she was only off 96.5%! Guess she was close, not! Not sure when being a Supreme Court judge also made you a medical doctor.

You don’t know what to believe anymore these days from anyone. There is way more things on tv not true than true. It’s not even close. Strange times we live in. Time to get moving. Think we’ll keep Ty home today even though he doesn’t have a fever as he feels like crap. Lori slept upstairs last night but also doesn’t have a fever. Good news. Make it a great week, hang in there and God Bless.

Crunch

Yesterday afternoon after boarding Ty slid into a pole and crunched the whole front end of his truck, ugh. He wasn’t hurt as he was only going about 10 miles an hour. Just one of those things where he over corrected when coming around a corner. Nothing we can do except get it fixed. He will be without wheels for a couple weeks meaning we’ll need to drive him to and from school. Lori said lucky we didn’t get it fixed last week, ha.

The roads were bad in the early part of the day and in Vail most of the day. We had a few inches of snow in the morning, maybe 4 or so and then a dusting last night. I’m done with winter, double ha.

The sky is blue outside right now and if we can, we’ll take his truck to Glenwood and drop it at our collision place. Sadly they know us pretty well.

Tonight us guys are going to James’s house for the Raider Charger game. Should be fun. Lori rode home Wednesday and Thursday with her friend who she hired while at Steadman who now has covid. Lori tested negative yesterday, but we need to watch it. Funny how they are both vaccinated, have boosters and wear masks all day yet still she got the vid, hmm. Hope she didn’t bring it home to Ty and I.

Jag was a little under the weather too but doing well. They say next week cases are supposed to start dropping. Tom just texted the Bronco’s fired our coach. Thankfully we’ll have a fresh start and hopefully a new quarterback too. Nice guy but he was always in way over his head.

Time to get moving, God Bless.

Sleeping in

7:30, just waking up. Sort of dark and gloomy outside with a rain snow mix. Lori is still sleeping. Ty was out until around midnight and is also sleeping. Doesn’t look like a good day for the mountain. Not long until the 17th when Ty turns 18, wow.

Lots of snow to shovel. It keeps sliding off the roof and yesterday I shoveled off the upstairs balcony and now have to shovel it out of the driveway where I threw it. No tv still so I’ll be missing football today. I was going to maybe drive to Tommy’s but this weather is kind of ugly as I said.

I was in Denver yesterday returning some stuff and going to the bank as we’re working on refinancing the house. Roads were fine but don’t really feel like making the drive again. Time to get moving so I can get to the gym. Enjoy the weekend, God Bless.

Round 2

A little more snow headed our way tomorrow. Not sure how much, just some coming. I’m running down to Denver this morning and should be back early afternoon. Lori worked yesterday after all and Ty was home about 7 last night. I went to James house where four of us hung out for a couple hours. Our Direct TV dish went out somehow so Sunday I’m watching football at his house. They can’t get out here until next Wednesday. Good time to catch up on some reading.

Sort of cloudy outside right now. Supposed to be sunny today though. I had Ty going down tomorrow to get the truck serviced but it looks like with the snow we’ll postpone that trip. Time for me to get moving so I can be out the door in 45 minutes.

Stay safe, God Bless.

Big time snow

Some roads are closed, lots of businesses and even I-70, but not here! A big storm from Kansas to the mountains missed us, whoo hoo! We literally have a light dusting on the patio and that is it. Nice to miss this one. Nothing to shovel.

Ty has school today. He was feeling a little funky yesterday and doesn’t start until 9:30 so we’re letting him sleep a bit longer. He did get up early and hit the mountain before school yesterday as he had a late start at 12:30. Jag is in Boulder and doing fine. He stopped by Tommy’s yesterday when he went to the bank. Lori is home today which is good as her headache has been bothering her. And of course, I’m working away.

The mail, UPS and Fed Ex are super slow these days. We have things we’re waiting on that are way overdue. We’re not out of the woods yet with supply issues, inflation and the economy. Biden is on tv trying to deflect from his failures talking about the Capital riots a year ago. We can’t even stand to listen to this guy. Nothing he can say can make up for the dismal job and what this guy and his cronies have done our Country in one short year. God help us.

That’s it, have a great day and God Bless.

Snow

Today we could get as much as a foot here at the house. Or it could be a couple inches. We’ll just have to wait and see. Vail will probably get a foot, maybe more. I might drive Lori to Vail this morning so she doesn’t get stuck coming home.

Ty is headed to the mountain for the morning as he doesn’t start school until 12:30 today. Jag made it home around 6:30. I’ll probably see him later this week.

The Stock Show starts this weekend. We used to always go when we were kids. We also took the boys when they were young. It’d be nice to go this year, we’ll see.

Had a good three hours at the range yesterday. Was a little cold around 2 but not too bad. Good to stay up on training. Need to get out there at least two times a week for the next couple months. It’s part of my new 2022 regimen. I have a few other new things going on as well.

That’s it, enjoy the day, enjoy each moment! God Bless.

School

Ty starts today and Jag goes back tomorrow. Ty did have lacrosse last night from 8 until 9. Earlier in the day he went boarding on the mountain. Guess it was great. Jag was here with us enjoying his break. Lori worked from home and so did I.

Lots of vaccine requirements out there. Some for boosters. I believe it’s everyone’s individual choice. If you want it, get it, if not, don’t. The new variant seems a lot milder than the previous two. I was talking with a doctor friend in Florida yesterday who handles meds for people travelling the World. Prevailing feeling in the medical World is new variants will be popping up all the time now just like the flu. Some people get the flu shot, some don’t. Up to you. Not sure I’m up for a new vaccine every few months based on ever changing variants. Seems like we’ll always be a step behind.

It’s dark at 7 am these days. Not sure when daylight savings ends, think it’s in April. We should end it all together as it’s outdated. Snow tomorrow. Not sure how much, we’ll see. Hope it misses us.

Time to get moving. Hang in there, 2022, whoo hoo, God Bless.

Here we go!

Ok, time to get back at it. 2022 is here and time to jump in with both feet. Not sure what that means as how do you jump into anything with just one foot? Anyhow here we go.

Ty has school tomorrow, not today, it’s teachers only today. Jag is staying with us until Wednesday. I was taking Ty’s truck to Glenwood today but moved it back a couple weeks. This morning I have a conference call at 10 and a Zoom call at 1:30. Skipping the gym today as I worked out pretty heavy the last two days. Clear and cold outside, nice.

We, or should I say Lori, took down all the Christmas stuff yesterday. Time to move on to another year. Lori is working from home today and is in Edwards or Vail tomorrow.

This year we’re going to try to go to three beaches. That’s our goal. Better get planning now!

Time to get moving so I can get on the rowing machine. Need to log 20 minutes since there’s no weightlifting today. You made it another year! Pat yourself on the back and get moving! God Bless.
