A week from today, school starts. Summer sure went fast, hell, life goes fast! Here’s a comment from Grandma Annette,
If you come to Sacramento the boys can drive the houseboat as long as they want. They can also go down the slide.
I’m sure the boys will be all over this. We’ll have to put this on the calendar for next year after they have a bit more practice. We decided we’re going camping over Labor Day back up at the lake. They have these little cabins which are essentially wooden tents that we booked for a couple of nights. The boys are super excited as hiking, fishing, boating and campfires are on the horizon. It’s good to be a kid as it should be.
It’s 4:45am and I need to run some samples to Vail this morning and be back in Denver by about 9am. This means I’ll have 150 miles or so under my belt today before most of you are up and about. We also need to buy school supplies for both boys this week meaning another $300 or so out the door. The rest of the day will be spent on the computer and packing some last minute boxes for Fed Ex. This is our last week to get orders in for our big fall pre-sell.
The misses has a doctor appointment tomorrow with Christine, her doctor, who is finally back from France. She’s still sore as expected since they told her 3 months prior to surgery. I think she’s been through so much this year she just expects to heal quicker. Thankfully her headaches are almost all gone. It’s just every now and then when she has a small one.
The house needs a major cleaning once again and the misses keeps saying she’s going to get after it but I tell her that under no circumstances is she supposed to lift a finger. Yes I’d love some help but not at the expense of chancing her headache coming back or her re-injuring her chest. I have enough troubles when it comes to medical bills right now. It looks like Obama care is unraveling at the seams. If you read the papers, company after company are opting out and now the government says a “glitch” will now prevent millions from obtaining insurance. Funny how we always find out things aren’t what they say they are after the fact. To be fair, this is true on both sides. To us all, this is really meaningless as all we can worry about is how this all affects us and no matter what any politician says, we are worse off with Obama Care. Our family is paying more for insurance and getting less, that’s the bottom line. Ok, I’ll stop as I don’t want to go down this road as it gets me, and some of you, upset and really doesn’t change anything.
Just one question, who would make a better President, Paul Ryan or Joe Biden? Hmmmmm, if you really honest with yourself, there is no question here. It’s like choosing between an economist and a bad comedian.
Time to run and hit the road, take care and God Bless,
