We woke up to over a foot of snow outside and it’s wet heavy snow, not the light powder that’s easier to shovel. I must have been outside shoveling at least a dozen times yesterday and before I could finish, the walks I just did were already covered again. On top of this, they say it’s supposed to pick up again tonight and continue through tomorrow. Of course the schools are all open today unlike last week when they closed them down for 3 inches.
Here’s a comment from Annette,
Do you really think any politician who is making millions (all of them) is ever going to vote for whats fair, like a flat tax? Tell the Mrs. she lives in Colorado and you always carry a blanket or 2 in the car for baseball, soccer and anything else outside, summer, spring, winter or fall.
Good advice from her and usually we have blankets and other supplies in each car but I had taken it out in the morning to load a bunch of wine, wouldn’t you know. Any yea, screw the politicians.
Let’s see, we had the plumber here yesterday, the youngest was home with a head cold, and the misses head is ok but her neck is killing her. We’re off to the dermatologist this morning, if I can get the car dug out in time.
I haven’t shoveled yet this morning and better get on it as it’s going to take a while to clear the walks and the cars. The days of the month are filling up. This Friday we have a dinner out, next week, a wine dinner, then a reception for the Colorado Women’s foundation, a horse and cattle show up in Ft Collins and another in Wyoming we’re supposed to go see, 3 or 4 baseball games plus two make up games and a bunch of work deadlines. Plus the misses is down at the Ritz for some business stuff.
Anyhow here she is, the one and only, the wonderful, the lovely, the beautiful, everyones favorite (doesn’t that piss you off sometimes), Lori!
She’ll finish up today as I need to get the cars started.
The handsome…the generous, the thoughtful Mr. never ceases to make me laugh.
Lacey has another ear infection, or the same ear infection that has never completely cleared up. Â I’ll have to take her to the vet this week, as well as the other stuff on my list.
The oldest is next to me on the couch wondering why is today not a snow day. Â I’m wondering the same thing…I’ll post a picture, so those of you not digging out of 14 inches of snow can see what April 16, 2013 looks like in Colorado.
The youngest just made his way down stairs and the first thing he said….”Is today a snow day?” Â Aww….it should be…the snow looks so fun!
I’m off to make breakfast, love to all and prayers to those at the marathon.
