This morning I’ll drop Ty at school and head over the hills and through the woods, pass Grandma’s house, straight to the airport. My flight is like 11am and I land around 2 or so. Then a quick meeting with my buddy Big Joe (you might remember him from hunting) and then we’re off to dinner. Tomorrow morning I have a 9am meeting for 30 minutes and then it’s back to the airport. I’m scheduled to fly out at 12:50 but there is a 11:30 flight I might be able to make, depending on traffic. Either way I’ll be back in Denver early to mid afternoon. Then the challenge will be getting up the hill with the snow that’s supposed to arrive tonight and last through tomorrow. It is snowing on the pass now but I looked at the road cameras and should be fine driving down in a few hours.
We think and hope, Lori is getting a little better. She had a flu test yesterday and thankfully does not have the flu. Jag texted pictures of swimming with sea turtles as he spent the day mapping them out with a bunch of scientists dedicated to the preservation of sea life in the Hawaii ecosystem. He’s having lots of fun!
My backs a little sore from the gym but as always, it’s a good sore. Lori went with me yesterday morning trying to work the cold out of her system. Today is clinic but she’ll have to leave around 4 or so to pick up Ty. She’ll probably take him home and go back to work or just take him back to the office. I hope tomorrow to be back up the hill to pick him up around 5 but we’ll see.
Last night, out of nowhere, we heard a loud crash like a car crashed into the house! It was about 200 pounds of ice sliding off of the ledge covering the deck which is outside Ty’s window. Thankfully no one or Mojo, was on the deck as it could have killed you. Another great design flaw in our little place. When you live here for a year or so you get to see all the problems, inside and out, from a builder who cut corners wherever he could. Oh well, we still live in Vail! Be thankful for what you have. Time to run, hope all’s well, take care and God Bless.
