Happy Easter, He is Risen!

Happy Easter everybody! Today is the holiest day of the year in case you didn’t know. I’m sure we all know the story of Easter and Jesus rising from the tomb but if you don’t, you should learn about it. Jag and I stayed up and watched the 10 Commandments last night. Funny as that was made in 1956 when I was born. We had a good time but that movie is like 5 hours long!

It’s a little after 8 and the boys are still sleeping. We dyed some eggs last night but will probably just put some in the boys baskets. A few broke while dying and they were not all the way hard boiled! Not sure where the Easter Bunny can hide them around here. There is a lot of clutter though so I’m sure he’ll find a good place.

Jag’s basketball tryouts went great. Ty’s will have his in a week or so as we didn’t know he could go yesterday. They’re having a second session for the kids who missed yesterday as a lot were on Spring Break or finishing the last week of ski racing. After that we went and met the architect down in Eagle to walk the property we might buy and build on. Next step is to get a topographic map so we’re sure what we’re dealing with. It’s a pretty lot with views of the Sawatch range on one side and a large mountain with valleys full of aspen trees on the other. In the Spring and Fall the colors are magical. We’ll see how things go.

Here’s a comment from Ali yesterday, thanks for commenting!

Blondie says:

It is always nice to have some memorabilia from our childhood, etc. however unfortunately it just ends up cluttering our houses and means some day someone will end up having to clean things out for us!

I say start minimalizing now if you can! How often do we really look at some of that stuff or use it or enjoy it? Just saying….

Now we 100% agree but there are just some things you feel you have to hold on to. What I mean is when things from your childhood are gone, they’re gone forever. I know you can’t keep everything but at this point I personally need to keep what has memories and then sift through it over the next few years. Lori would prefer to just throw everything out, including all the stuff in our house, and start over. Maybe you girls are right as we’ve had stuff in storage for almost 3 years and haven’t missed it one bit. On the other hand, there must be more of Mom in Tom and I as she saved everything and obviously we too have a hard time letting go. Personally I’m more into the pictures and small things than any furniture. Jag has said he wants some of the antiques that are left and to save them for him, ugh. We should probably buy a storage unit rather than renting.

We have another big week coming on. More on that later. Hope you all have a great day, take care and may God Bless you.
