When I came home yesterday from getting Ty from the gym, the deer were here eating away. Turns out Lori had been throwing them some bread and celery. I quickly put a stop to that as they were getting to comfortable being here. I actually had a hard time getting them to leave. One doe just stood there when I went out to try to scare them away. Finally I let Harley out and she ran them off a bit but they only went about 50 yards or so and then stopped and turned around looking for Lori and more food. So, no more breakfast other than what they can naturally find on the ground.
Yesterday it took Ty and I 90 minutes to get to school. The trip should have taken about 20 minutes. The highway was closed due to a crash. Then past Edwards the highway was closed due to another crash so Lori turned around and worked from home. All’s fine today but tomorrow the snow is coming they say.
Jag is staying in Boulder but coming up the following weekend to stay with Ty when we’re in Arizona. We’re anxiously looking forward to the sun and seeing Robi and Robert. Lori is in Edwards working today and I have a doc appointment with the ENT guy just to have him make sure my ear is healed.
That’s it. On the political front, gas is up over a dollar a gallon, thanks Joe. And worst of all, Joe has dementia. It’s so easy to see and everyone knows it. They abruptly stop any appearance or press conference he does before any questions can be asked. When he is speaking you can see him not looking into the camera but looking slightly to the left reading everything off a teleprompter and he still gets confused. It’s so sad. He’s just like dad was in the early stages. He’s clearly not of sound mind. He’s like a grandparent that’s being abused. Sooner or later they’ll remove him from office which won’t change much as he’s not making the decisions now anyhow. What a fucked up situation we are in for the next few years. Hold on as it’s going to be a bumpy ride. God Bless.
