Getting Close

48 hours until we head down to the big show! Today we’re having our third car detailed by Alan and his crew. This time it’s Ty’s truck that goes in. We’ll drop it at 8:30 and pick it up around 11. They do a great job.

Lots going on at work but it’s going well. Seems like we’re entering a new chapter in our lives and that of the Company. Everyone has bought in, although it’s early in the process, and to my new vision. My workload has doubled but things are starting to fall in place. After a few weeks, maybe the month of July, I should have everyone in the spot I need them to be. We have really good people but getting anyone to radically change, isn’t easy and takes time. So, this means constant communication, or calls, from me to each of my employees, daily. If I leave any of them alone for even a day or two, they’ll quickly revert to their old way of doing things. Some need more attention than others. It’s like I have six kids all with unique personalities and needs. I’ve always said, I’m like 1/3 parent, 1/3 psychologist and 1/3 boss. For me, just another day.

Jag has a big interview with a firm in Denver tomorrow. Then he’s staying for the retirement party for the executive assistant who worked for my buddy who sold his firm to this larger firm. That’s a good sign. Hope it goes well.

Nice and sunny and clear up here. We’ll go to the gym later this morning after we drop Ty’s truck at 8:30. He works at 8 so he’s still sleeping for another 30 minutes. Good to have him home.

That’s it for today, time to get moving. Have a great hump day and God Bless.
