I’m running late today so I’m passing off to the misses but here’s a comment from Annette, we feel so sorry for you with the neighbors from hell!
The people next door (rental house) have 7 children, the oldest is going into 7th grade and the youngest is about 15mo. Last night they started shooting off fireworks about 6:30 and finished at about 10:30. The parents don’t work, the house is a mess, the stove doesn’t work. They use a BBQ and microwave to cook on, the kids eat crap and they have no car. The house is section 8 (the landlord gets paid by the state) and yet they had the money to buy frieworks that lasted from 6:30 to 10:30! The parents wouldn’t take a job if you offered it to them and he has been in trouble for domestic abuse. They yell at the kids and use awful language and the kids are doing the same. If you talk to the mom she thinks they are good parents because she and her husband have more or less stayed together for 12 years and all the kids are from the same father. I quess we the tax payers are paying for the fireworks, I know we are paying for housing and food( foodstamps in CA come on an ATM card now) isn’t that wonderful. Ok I’m getting off my soapbox now. I just don’t know how you get through to people like that. I’m glad you guys had a good 4th. I stayed home with the dog she is terriffied of loud sounds and we have had fireworks legal and illegal for a month.
This right here is not an isolated incident! There are tons of people all over the country who just do not want to work! God help us, it’s a huge problem. One thing I do know for sure is the way to get these people off “freebies” is not to continue to give them everything for free! Here’s the misses…
Okay…..I took the boys and the oldest’s friend Jen to a movie yesterday. Â We saw Madagascar 3. Â The movie was really funny, I think we were all singing the Circus song on the way out to the car….something like ..Circus, Circus, polka dot, afro. Â Anyway, although it was an animated adventure, the humor was present all through the show. Â Gram A. has probably seen it…she is quite the movie buff…maybe she’ll post her thoughts on it tomorrow.
We are picking up Jen again this morning…I think I’ll send the kiddos out to ride bikes while I pick up the clutter that is encroaching on our space. Â Maybe the pool or another movie. Â Thank you Gram A and Gran J… we are on our last fandango gift card. Â The movies that are playing before 2:30p.m. are only $6.00 which seems like quite the deal to me.
When the Mister took the kids to the Alpine slide the other day, at the top of the gondola the youngest got out and said, “You don’t see a slide like this everyday”. Too cute. Â Both boys are getting so big and so grown up…it’s just too fast for me. Â I can’t believe in a little over a month they will be in 3rd and 5th grade…ugg.
Well time to get moving. Â Have a great day and God Bless.
