Time for flowers and chocolate! There’s a dusting of snow outside this morning, and a little bit of light cloud cover. Looks like sunshine on the way this afternoon.
Ty works at 7 tonight! Must be some private party or something. Our handyman is back today to do some more caulking and re-grout some tile. We need to walk Juno and Prince today as Davy landed in Austria last night and is meeting Abbey at the Olympics I think tomorrow. They’ll be home this weekend.
I have a sore neck from something I did at the gym. Think I’ll take a break today. The kids are doing well in Chicago.
At work, Jagger wrote some kind of program to get around paying Bloomberg $100k per terminal at work for some daily, real time financial information that everyone needs to use! He basically saw some kind of problem with the status quo, and said to himself, “what if we do it this way”, and then wrote this program on his own, to circumvent the current process. Of course, it works and gives his Company and traders a leg up on other banks as they can now access the information in seconds instead of minutes. His program is now intellectual property of the Company but wow, how amazing. Here you have all these mega financial companies around the globe, doing things one way, and in two weeks, this kid comes in and takes a current process and makes it better, impressive, to say the least. We joked the password he should install for everyone to sign in should be something like “Jagger rocks”, or “Give Jagger a raise”, ha.
Lori wants to go to the gym, so I guess I’ll go and just do the treadmill. Have a great day, we’re just staying home tonight as food on holidays at restaurants is usually bad as they overbook and are always stretched too thin.
