Memorial Day

Thanks to all those that served. Special thanks to those that died for our freedom. These days, it seems people take freedom for granted. Flashback 80 years, and it wasn’t a given. How times have changed.

Yesterday Ty and Scott went for a hike. They geared up but still weren’t expecting the snow up high that they ran into. There were some summer storms over the high peaks, but they were up and down in good time and missed them. Check it out,

Pretty cool up there. The lake was still frozen of course, and as you can see, afternoon clouds were rolling in. After the boys made it home and ate some ribs, Scott headed out for Denver and Ty went to the gym.

Meanwhile Lori and I cleaned out half of the garage and she posted some things we want to get rid of. I put the ribs on around 8am and Marty came over around 3 and we had a nice meal. Lori and I went to pick up her hanging baskets from the nursery down in Dotsero. They’re big and beautiful. We cleaned up around the house too.

Av’s lost. Guess Tom was right when he said winning the Presidents Cup, (most wins in a season or something like that), is a curse as no one who won that ever won the Stanley Cup. Without a miraculous comeback of winning four games in a row, we’re done.

It’s pretty outside this morning. Lori is getting her hair done in Glenwood at 11. Looks like some rain this week. Should be 80 this weekend. Jag and the guys spent another night in Indianapolis and will be driving the two or three hours back to Chicago today. Not sure when the guys fly home, probably this afternoon. They had a really fun time.

Ty’s off to work and we’re headed to the gym. Have a great Memorial Day and thank a veteran.

God Bless.
