Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to Grandma Dixie and Pa Don! Here’s a comment from Dix from yesterday. Hope Don is doing better today.

Dixie and Don says:

l Loved your blog this morning. However, we are having some drama here because Paw Don is going into his pneumonia syndrome–fever, a 100.8 which is about four degrees above normal for him. He started his prednisone”2 cpas– and I told him if he didn’t drink all of his water, I was going to call the ambulance. Well he did and is now in the bathroom with the school bell if he gets in trouble. (I’m in the office and can keep a good ear out for him. His cough sounds bad. Guess we won’t be celebrating our 26 anniversary tomorrow. Oh well, it can wait. Tell the kiddos and the Mr. that I appreciate all the good care that they have been giving my little girl. YO MAMA!!!

We went to the misses doctor yesterday and she received a clean bill of health but she was explicitly told to take it easy! The boys were well behaved for the most part for sitting in a office waiting room for 30 minutes. We made it home around 4pm.

Today I’m in Vail, again. I have a few appointments but am also meeting up with the couple that is renting the Minturn home for the next year. Thank God for this as it’ll help my Mom and I with monthly expenses. I can’t wait to stop paying the power bill and water bill and I’m sure my Mom is thrilled to get out of most of the mortgage. Hopefully in a year the market will have turned around.

The weather is going to finally be a bit cooler for the next few days. Maybe fall is finally coming although I think I heard we have one more day, today, of temps that’ll be close to 100!

We need to go get the kids their school supplies but it looks like we’ll be waiting until the last minute which is Friday. Maybe I can do it early tomorrow morning or late tomorrow night.

In politics the mud slinging is still going on. The democrats are painting to republicans as people that hate anyone not rich, seniors and women. On the other side there are lots of ads slamming the President too but at least they are trying to talk about the issues. It’s hard though when you have to counter negative and misleading ads. Both sides should be ashamed of themselves as we’ve reached a new low. Some of you, like those that live in California, might not know what I’m talking about as you’re not in a swing state so you don’t get all the ads. In fact, 90% of all campaign ads are in 9 states and 90% of those are negative and most of those are misleading or false! Add it all up and no one knows what to believe these days. Our philosophy is time to give the other team the ball as all we know is that the past four years haven’t been good to us.

Time to run, hope everyone is well, take care, stay safe and God Bless.
