Reconnected

Took me until around 11am but I was finally reconnected to the World with a new phone. At first, it was stressful not being able to receive texts or calls, but by the time I was on the road to Glenwood, I was actually liking the freedom and peace of no one being able to reach me. It was like a mini vacation. I missed three conference calls and who knows how many texts and other calls, and it was great! My World didn’t fall apart (a lot of it is, just look at Europe), and not much changed. If I could, I’d go back to land lines for work and at home. As soon as I retire, I’m putting my cell phone in a drawer and only taking it out if I go somewhere. Looking forward to that day! Think I’ll start by doing that on the weekends.

Ty is off today, Lori’s getting ready for work and Jag is working away. I’m off to the gym and then will run down to Lori’s office to have a couple stitches taken out by Tiffany, Lori’s nurse. They’re from my trip to the dermatologist.

I told Ty I’d get him a new phone today as his is smashed and you can see the electronics on the back as they’re exposed. Hard to believe it even works. He wanted to wait for the new Apple Duo that comes out Friday. It’s a foldable phone that costs $2000! I told him no way, plus they’re backordered until the end of January. That pretty much sums up the problem with our Country and society in general, a $2000 phone is sold out and backordered. I’m sure 90% of the purchasers are under 25 or 30 years old too. I chose the older I-phone 17 Pro instead of the new 18 Pro. I don’t care about a fancier camera plus the 18 is huge. For me, a phone is a tool to communicate with, it’s not my whole life or a status symbol!

Cool temps coming this weekend. Not sure we’ll get snow but we should in the higher elevations. Almost 7am now. The sun comes up in 20 minutes or so. Tomorrow I’ll be on the road at this time to get snow tires put on Lori’s car.

That’s all folks! Have a great Wednesday, God Bless.
