Next Saturday, January 17th, Ty’s birthday, it’s the Broncos and the Bills in the AFC Divisional Championship Game. Looks like it’ll be a 2 or 2:30 start. The Bills are favored by 1.5 points as of last night. Here we go. Should be a good game. We’re glad it’s on Saturday as then we have a day to recoup.
Yesterday we watched all three games on and off. At 6pm, we went up to Davy and Abbey’s for dinner and to watch the first half of the night game. Violet, their 16-year-old daughter, was driving back from dance in Denver the night before last, and came out of the tunnel, hit black ice about a mile down towards Silverthorne, lost control of her car, and ended up totaling the car! She’s fine but really shaken up, as she should be. Should be a wakeup call as after talking with her, I’m sure she’s going to turn into a cautious driver. She’s a really good kid and we’re all glad she was ok.
I’m back at it this morning at work starting with calls at 10am. These days I’m tackling the days head on, with no hesitation and no excuses. I’m making even more dramatic changes quickly and going all in with my plan. I might end up now replacing three employees go, (was going with one, maybe two), two which have been here over 20 years and one that’s been here 12 or so. Shit’s going down. Whatever happens, no way I’m standing pat with the status quo. I’ll be interviewing some big-time experienced industry pros during the week. Lots of good talent out there these days with all the changes in the industry and the state of the economy, and frankly, the entire World. Josh talked to a few candidates last week. More to come on this front, quickly.
Ty was at Keystone yesterday after working six days in a row and is back at work at 7 this morning. The kid is putting in the hours. Tax week, ugh, where we all get to send the govt. more money and get nothing in return. Something, someday, has to give, one would hope.
