May 1st, time flies. We have Lori’s birthday, the Kentucky Derby, Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day all coming up in the next ten days. Throw in my new girl starting today at work, and a couple new companies we’re forming, and it’s a busy month. We’ll be going to Chicago and then in early June, Montana and most likely Europe.
Yesterday I met with Paul and Davy during the day and then again last night until around 10pm putting the framework together for the new companies. He flies home to Austria today. He’s a good kid who has it going on.
We think we have an apartment! Lori paid the application and administration fee which were about $500 and it’s a first come first serve deal, if you’re approved. We were first and of course we’ll be approved, so sometime between mid-May and June 1st, he should move in. It’s right in the heart of Lincoln Park, which is the best neighborhood and is where they are now. I think Ava’s coming back from California at the end of the month. The place is being updated or remodeled, so it’ll be nice and new. Jag went by to see it last night. The realtor just got the keys so he should be able to see the inside soon, but we’ve seen it online. He was packing up his clothes last night as he’ll move into Martin’s place tomorrow. He’s just going to Uber to and from work every day while staying there. This is a big load off his and our shoulders. In the past week he passed his SEC exams, found an apartment and has a place to stay, for free, until it’s ready. All good stuff.
Ty took an 8 mile bike ride up into the mountains yesterday. He has an app on his phone that shows the entire ride. It was pretty cool. I finished a 36 hour fast this morning as I haven’t eaten since 8pm Monday night. Good to do that every month or so. I’m not even hungry and could keep going if I wanted to, but 36 hours is enough.
Time to put out the trash and head to the gym. Have a great first Friday of May! God Bless.
