Lori and I were talking this morning and not really hearing each other too well. She said we’re going to be those old people that go “ehh”. She then corrected herself and said, oh wait, we already are. The big thing about aging is not your chronological age but your biological age. Luckily right now, tests and markers say I’m 59 in biological age. I have an advanced program that gives me over 100 markers or tests from my bloodwork rather than the 20 or so you get when you go to the doctor. The standard blood test your doctor runs every year or so, doesn’t test for some of the most important things it should to measure things you should know about. You see, the standard test looks for things that have already gone wrong with you, while the more advanced tests catch things before they go wrong with you so you can make changes to prevent things from getting messed up. There is a reason that really wealthy people and guys like the President tend to live longer. It’s because their doctors are looking for things before they happen, not catching them after the fact. There are tons of companies out there that do so called “Executive Physicals”. Some of these are thousands of dollars, and of course your insurance company doesn’t cover them. For us, we’ll continue doing what we can and try to stay healthy and active. We both take certain supplements and are on the advanced biological age program. Still, you can do everything in the World and get run over by a truck or struck by lightening any given day. Tommy always says, when it’s your time, it’s your time.
Ty left before we woke up to go to the gym before he works at 7. He must have left at 5am or earlier. We’ll head out soon. The cleaners come today. At 4 this afternoon, I have a call with a 24 year employee we’re letting go. Josh and I texted her last night asking for a call this afternoon, but she knows it’s coming. She’s texted multiple times asking what’s up and things like, am I getting fired? I feel bad for her but I need to look at things like if I was starting the company today, would I hire this person. Sadly, the answer is no. Tough times call for tough decisions. Still, it’ll be brutal. We can’t do it until 4 as Josh is busy today up until then. I’ve been preparing for this for a few months and have everything covered transition wise, but on a personal level, I feel bad for her. It is what it is though.
Jag is doing well. So is Lori. It’s nice and cool up here and not too smokey. We’re excited about Montana. We’re flying up next Thursday morning. Time to get moving as it’s 7am now, God Bless.
