Not much yesterday but we’re supposed to get some today. I turned the sprinklers off a couple weeks ago so that saves money on our water bill. I was in Denver by 9am and my truck was done by noon. This put me home a little before 2. I thought about going to the gym but was sidetracked shipping some stuff off with Fed Ex.
Ty went down to Denver around noon for his concert and was home around 11:30 pm. He’s off today but back at it tomorrow. He needs to get on his room as it’s a mess. Jag received a big box from us yesterday with 3 or 4 coats and 3 or 4 pair of my old jeans (the boys love them), a pair of Bose headphones and a few other small things. He had to Uber home rather than take the train.
I’m off to Aspen this morning to run to a couple stores I need to go to. I did stop at my watch dealer yesterday as he called last week and a Rolex came in that’s hard to get. After trying it on though, I passed. It was $16,000 by the time you added in the $1400 in tax and it just didn’t do it for me. There’s a lot I can do with $16,000 other than getting a watch that I wasn’t crazy about. I’m still on the list for another one that’s about the same price, that’s a bit harder to find. My AD (authorized dealer) always puts me at the top of the list though. He’s a good guy. I sent him and his wife to Metallica in Denver in 2025 (they’re huge fans), and put him in the snake pit. Some guys wait years for an opportunity to buy a new Rolex from a dealer, but Carlos has me dialed in. Then again, some guys never get to go in the snake pit either, ha. Glad I passed. I no longer buy stuff, unless I really, really want it. I’m sort of in a purging mode rather than an adding mode these days.
Lots of misleading political ads on tv. I can’t believe how they lie and create these ads trying to show themselves as one of us, or regular people. What a joke, yet people fall for it. The school ad is the worst. It’s named “For the Kids” or something like that, when in reality it takes away our Tabor (tax) refund, that we voted on and passed, because they spent the money from the last “For the Kids” bill, on illegals rather than the kids! It’s so messed up.
