Here we are, October 1st. Feels like September 1st outside as temps are still in the 80’s. That’s the Super El Nino messing with us. It’s causing major drought in some areas of the World, like the Amazon and Panama, and major flooding in other areas. Ocean temps are up a whopping 3 degrees which doesn’t sound like much, but it huge. It’s going to be a strange year. It’s predicted that there will be major food shortages Worldwide and the University of Chicago says over 451,000 heat related deaths will come with it. Most of the deaths will be in Africa and other countries. Here we’ll see warmer than normal temps, already are, drought in some places and too much moisture in others. Hold on tight and get ready as it’s already started.
Ty works this morning at 8. Lori and I are going to the gym. Jag went home from work yesterday as he wasn’t feeling well. He worked from home all day. We made a pork roast which was delicious. Lori is taking my dentist appointment at noon today to have her teeth cleaned.
I was in Aspen yesterday morning. It sure is beautiful over there. You can see why it’s so attractive to the wealthy and uber rich. Everything is great about it except the uber rich in their yoga pants, G Wagons and Range Rovers. They look so out of place. The locals are all great people, and we know lots of them that have been there their whole lives. Most live down valley as no one can afford to live in Aspen. Second homes start in the tens of millions. There’s nothing in town for $3 million or so, try $30 million! Still, it’s a beautiful valley and whoever founded the town way back when (it was a mining town originally) picked a great spot. We would never live there but could on a ranch outside of town. If only it wasn’t governed by the idiots in Denver. Too bad it’s not in Montana!
