Jag coming up!

Jag’s coming home for the weekend. We can’t wait to see him. I’m in Denver today so we’ll both get up here around the same time unless he leaves early. I’m still fighting my pulled muscles. One in my back and one in my arm.

Everyone is fine up here. Yesterday my neighbor Brian and I filed for all our hunting tags for the Fall. In most cases I’ll just be gaining points unless I win the lottery and draw a Bighorn Sheep tag.

Food is getting scarce and expensive. You might not notice it but if you look closely your store is out of certain things and prices have gone up on most things. To get the best selection, go shopping early in the day. Gas is way up too, thanks Joe. As I said before, we just need to ride this thing out for a couple years. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

I need to get moving so time to go. We’re bummed we didn’t get to Arizona but counting the days until May 5th when it’ll be much warmer. The way time flies it’ll be here in the blink of an eye. God Bless.

Delayed

We woke up yesterday not feeling well. Think we had some bad hamburger. On top of that I have a muscle I pulled in my back that is unbearable. Throw in Lori’s new PA now starting Monday, no rental cars, iffy weather on Sunday and just a general feeling of “we should postpone” and we changed our reservations to the first of May for our Arizona trip. So we’ll wait 6 weeks or so and then head down then.

My back and arm are still aching bad. I did too much at the gym and hope it’ll be gone by the end of the day.

Weather looks nice today and things are warming up for the next few days. Looks like Denver will get some more snow maybe Sunday but we look in the clear up here! Jag was coming up with Katie but I think he’s not coming now since we’re home. We haven’t met her but I’m sure if we wait a while he’ll be with someone new.

That’s it, time to enjoy my coffee. Make it a great day and may God watch over and bless you.

St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Wear some green and enjoy a beer. Mom would always make corn beef and cabbage. It was good. Funny the things you remember. I’m surprised that it hasn’t been cancelled for some reason, ha.

Ty is going to the mountain today and then working out at 3. Tonight we’re driving down to Denver to spend the night at the airport so we can catch our 7:30 am flight to Phoenix. Robi is loaning us her car as all rental cars in Phoenix are sold out. Can’t thank her enough as otherwise we’d need to reschedule as we have to have a car.

It’s warming up which will be good for Denver as they have snow everywhere, especially on the side streets. Time to get moving, hope all’s well, GB.

All over

Yesterday the sky turned blue and it was a nice sunset. This morning we have like maybe a quarter of an inch of snow. Basically a dusting. So overall up here we had a total of a few inches from this storm. Marty and Melanie were amazed how little snow all of Eagle County received as Summit had about 10 inches.

On the news they’re promoting vaccines for kids 16 and up. No way is that happening with our boys. I can’t believe they’re giving it to kids. There’s still so much unknown. Again if I didn’t have to travel, I wouldn’t have got it at all. They’re also talking about booster shots. Good luck with that. That just goes to show you how little they know or how much new information is coming to light.

It’s still hard to believe how much everyone’s life has changed in about a year. I don’t just mean with the virus but with the whole woke culture thing too. Shit is crazy. Saying racism is rampant just increases racism in some ways. It’s not everywhere. Before a year ago, most people didn’t think much about it and were not racists. Now you have certain blue States giving reparation’s to some for slavery 200 years ago! I don’t know about you but I don’t know anyone who was alive 200 years ago that had slaves. I’m sure some would think I’m racist for saying this. If so, it proves my point. Anyhow this is just the tip of the iceberg. Apparently we all discriminate in one way or another. Everyone is guilty of something. Wake the fuck up!

Then we have Biden who hasn’t had a news conference since he’s been Pres. His handlers or abusers won’t let him. The poor guy looks like some feeble old grandfather. Kamala has talked to more World leaders in two months than Pence did in four years. No way he makes it four years. And what about Pelosi, this old lady, 80 years old, has had so many face lifts her eyebrows are almost up to her hairline. She’s not competent either. How is it that a bunch of 80 year old’s, Joe, Pelosi, Schumer, Mc Connell and yes even Trump, can govern and decide what’s best for all of us. God help us.

Oh well, I’ll let it go. Time to get cleaned up. Lori is on the way to work. I need to get dog food today and a few more groceries for Ty. We’re excited to go to Arizona. Can’t wait for some sun and to see Robi and Robert. God Bless.

Whomp

Denver got hit. Guess there’s 2 feet at Tom and Ali’s. 3 feet in Cheyenne Wyoming. Highways were closed going north and south and east and west across most of the State. Up here we lucked out. Our driveway was dry after I shoveled until late last night when we received maybe 2 more inches. It was a wet snow meaning heavy to shovel.

Ty is home today as we received a call from school on Saturday saying he was in close proximity to someone who has covid. We needed to go get him tested and thankfully he was negative. He was supposedly exposed last Monday but they want him to stay home for the next 3 days.

We’re all staying home today. Jag had to run an errand for the fraternity and was stuck in the snow and almost had to abandon his car and walk home. Luckily he managed to push it out and made it home.

Looks like things are reopening across the Country from restaurants to movie theaters. Of course Dr. Fauci keeps changing his story. He’s lost all credibility with us and many other people as it’s clear he’s a political pawn. Speaking of political pawns, have you seen Joe lately? The guys can barely walk. He looks like he’s aged 20 years in 2 months. So sad as he was never fit to be President. It’s basically elder abuse. Get ready for Kamala, just watch. They, the democrats, are tearing us apart. They’re literally setting us back decades. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

God Bless.

Maybe 4 inches

So far not the storm advertised. The news says 5 or 6 inches in Lakewood which is a good way from the 2 feet they forecasted. No surprise though as the weathermen are rarely right. I think it’s going to sputter on and off all day but we’re not expecting any huge accumulation. Part of our driveway is just wet with no snow and little to none stuck on the patio. Ty wants to go skiing today though so I’ll look at the roads to see if they’re ok.

Yesterday we just hung out around here. Lori went to get her nails done about 4 in the afternoon and we went to the gym in the morning and that was about it. Melanie received a call and was able to get her first shot over here at the high school. She was nervous and almost left the place but went ahead with it anyhow. We all went for coffee after Lori and I went to the gym as they were early getting over here as they needed to drop Max at the mountain. They’ll come over for dinner tonight if they can make it with the roads. They have to pick Max up from church group at 9 pm.

Jag is doing fine. He texted that he’s up to 205 pounds on his squats at the gym. That’s a good number for him. I think he went to the gym last night. Guess I’d better get the car cleaned off and warmed up to get Ty to the mountain. Enjoy the day and the snow. We can always use moisture. God Bless.

Blue Sky

No snow yet. They still say it’s coming with one to two feet in Denver. Looking at 3 inches or so up here with maybe 6 total by Monday. We can live with that. Ty is going skiing today so we’ll drop him at the mountain. Lori went to the office yesterday and I worked from home.

Tom got the Pfizer shot yesterday and is doing well.

I haven’t said much about politics or Biden on tv but this guy is such an idiot. He had the gall to say that maybe, if we’re good little subjects, we can celebrate the 4th of July in our own backyards with just a few close family members if we wear masks. How ironic that the govt. is trying to tell us that on our Independence Day, the day that celebrates our freedom from an oppressive government, what we can and can’t do. Plus he must be living under a rock as we can bbq in our backyards now if we want to. I don’t need his permission. Now I know he didn’t write his own speech (he can barely walk) but it just goes to show you how out of touch they all are. They’re desperate to control us and hold on to their power which they see slipping away as the people are no longer falling for their crap. Maybe there’s hope for us yet. If you’re not sure what to do, do the opposite of whatever the govt. says, serious. Plus, do we live in a third world country? Get the fences and National Guard out of Washington D.C. Pelosi is keeping them there for optics. She’s worse than Sleepy Joe as he doesn’t really know what he’s doing or saying. Mark my words, no way he makes it four years. My cardiologist blames his wife saying any man who lost a wife and two children doesn’t have the mental acuity to be President. He should be retired somewhere playing with his grandkids.

On top of all this, the loser Governor of New York, who is a sexual predator, Andrew Cuomo, still refuses to resign even though 7 women, 7 WOMEN, have come forward. He says they’re all lying and he won’t bow to cancel culture. Remember this is the guy who called for countless Republicans to resign or face charges based on innuendo. But the bigger story is him lying about the nursing home deaths. This guy sent old people into nursing homes to die. He knew they were full of covid patients and yet he sent healthy people there even though Trump had sent a hospital ship to New York, and now we find out he lied about the number of people who died to make himself look good. Remember that, the huge ship sitting empty in the harbor? I hope he goes to jail. He’s probably thrilled with the sex allegations as no one is talking about him sending 15,000 old people to their death. And finally after weeks of pressure the two NY Senators called for his resignation last night. But still no Sleepy Joe or Kamala, the two that rushed to judgement on Bret Kavanaugh over hearsay from 1 woman, 1 WOMAN, at a high school party. Remember Kamala saying, “I believe her” and she even accused Sleepy Joe in the primary saying ” I believe Joe’s accusers”. Yet now, she’s nowhere to be found, quiet as a church mouse. What a hypocrite. Oh and where’s Hillary, ha ha ha. You can’t make this shit up but it should tell you all you need to know about the President and Vice President and democrats in general. It’s all about them and their power. Just look at the laws they’re passing, what a joke. But don’t worry, they won’t be here forever, people are stupid but not that stupid. When the free money runs out, even the uneducated will turn on them. I guess they could just send people checks every month forever to buy their support, hmmm.

And what about Jen “there’s no crisis at the border” Paski? The White House Press Secretary. Even the President of Mexico is calling Biden the Migrant President. Yesterday a democrat congressman at the border, who’s from Texas, said there absolutely is a crisis down here. When Trump was in office they called the border a huge crisis with far less, like three times less people coming over. Yet now they say it’s not important what you call it, bwaaah. And it goes on and on, wake the fuck up. Of, enough said, sorry for the rant. I had two cups of coffee this morning!

We’re headed to the gym this morning after we drop Ty. Lori cleaned the house yesterday so it’s all clean and nice. We’re super excited to go to Arizona in about 5 days, whoo hoo, sun and fun. Be well, God Bless.

Up all night

I went to see the Ear Nose and Throat PA yesterday and after explaining everything she had me lay back and let my head hang off the table in her hands. She then shook my head like she was shaking a bottle of something to stir it up. Then I had to lay on my side and slowly raise myself up. After doing this two or three times she told me I should be all better with one caveat. She said I can’t lay down or put my head down for 24 hours. Apparently there are little crystals that can attach to little hairs in your inner ear that throw your balance off. Jennifer, my PA, had shook my head so they’d basically fall down back in place and they need 24 hours to settle back down and if I lay flat or put my head down they’d just get stuck back on the little hairs. So I had to sleep basically sitting up all night long. Try that, it’s not easy.

I woke up several times and finally stayed up at 5:30 am. I’m tired and think at 11 this morning I could lay down but I’ll be working by then as I have a full day of stuff going on.

The big story is the big storm coming. Could be feet of snow in Denver and as little as a couple inches up here. Let’s hope that holds true. I told Jag to come up but he’s going to ride it out at school. Lori says he has a girlfriend he’s hanging with.

The hard thing about sleeping sitting up is the kink you get in your neck. Otherwise it’s not too bad but my neck is stiff right now, ugh. I think Lori is going in for a bit today and Ty is working out at 10:30. I have a Zoom call from 9:40 until 9:55. Then we have the appliance company coming out to fix a couple of things.

Blue sky up here now! Have fun, enjoy the snow, we need it. God Bless.

No more breakfast

When I came home yesterday from getting Ty from the gym, the deer were here eating away. Turns out Lori had been throwing them some bread and celery. I quickly put a stop to that as they were getting to comfortable being here. I actually had a hard time getting them to leave. One doe just stood there when I went out to try to scare them away. Finally I let Harley out and she ran them off a bit but they only went about 50 yards or so and then stopped and turned around looking for Lori and more food. So, no more breakfast other than what they can naturally find on the ground.

Yesterday it took Ty and I 90 minutes to get to school. The trip should have taken about 20 minutes. The highway was closed due to a crash. Then past Edwards the highway was closed due to another crash so Lori turned around and worked from home. All’s fine today but tomorrow the snow is coming they say.

Jag is staying in Boulder but coming up the following weekend to stay with Ty when we’re in Arizona. We’re anxiously looking forward to the sun and seeing Robi and Robert. Lori is in Edwards working today and I have a doc appointment with the ENT guy just to have him make sure my ear is healed.

That’s it. On the political front, gas is up over a dollar a gallon, thanks Joe. And worst of all, Joe has dementia. It’s so easy to see and everyone knows it. They abruptly stop any appearance or press conference he does before any questions can be asked. When he is speaking you can see him not looking into the camera but looking slightly to the left reading everything off a teleprompter and he still gets confused. It’s so sad. He’s just like dad was in the early stages. He’s clearly not of sound mind. He’s like a grandparent that’s being abused. Sooner or later they’ll remove him from office which won’t change much as he’s not making the decisions now anyhow. What a fucked up situation we are in for the next few years. Hold on as it’s going to be a bumpy ride. God Bless.

Snowing and blowing

Not much snow here yet but last night, and a little still right now, the wind was blowing and it was snowing. We only have an inch or two but it looks icy and miserable outside. Lori is suppose to go to Frisco today and Ty has school in Edwards. The news just said 47 inches in Boulder by Sunday! This reminds me of the storm of 2003 when we had about 3 or 4 feet in Lakewood. We’ll see. We told Jag to stock up now on groceries. Maybe he should come up for the weekend if he can get away. I’ll suggest it this morning.

I made it to Denver and back by about 1 yesterday. I picked Ty up from the mountain on the way home. He had a great day of boarding in the terrain park which is on the front side where they have all kinds of rails and jumps for tricks and stuff. Should be a good weekend on the mountain and not too crowded if the front range gets the snow they’re suppose to as no one will be able to get up here.

Guess I should get going. Hang in there, things are getting better every day. Let’s keep it going! God Bless.
