Headed down today and then again on Wednesday, then that’s it hopefully for the week. Lots going on. We had a dusting of snow last night, not sure how much is on the pass. I hope to be back by 1 at the latest.
Yesterday we had Dixie up for a few hours. She’s looking frail but doing ok. I’m laying off the gym for a bit, just need a break. Lori is home today and is working the next two days.
6:06 am now so time to get moving. Looks like a cold week. Make it a great day, God Bless.
Tonight the 2 hour premier of Season 5 of our favorite show is on. I think everyone watches Yellowstone but if you don’t, you should.
Football is on from Germany right now. I wasn’t going to watch but there’s nothing else on right now. The Broncos are on at 11.
We didn’t get any decorations up yesterday but did get to Dixie’s to get her place partially decorated and cleaned. She thinks her parents are on an extended trip to Europe and has thought this for the past month or so. She’s also losing weight and her hair is falling out a bit. She’s 91 and 1/2 but don’t count her out just yet. I told Lori, at least she’s happy and knows who we are for the most part.
Jag is headed back to Boulder from Crested Butte today and Ty is in Denver. We might go to the gym, not sure yet. Time to get moving, make it a great day, GB.
Yesterday Lori and I headed to Denver for a couple stops and some lunch. First up was St. Nick, the World’s best Christmas store. It was overwhelming as there was actually too much stuff to see and take in. After a good hour plus there, we headed for lunch at Cherry Creek Grill.
There was a 45 minute wait so we put our name in and headed across the street to a nice clothing store. Lori has been needing some new black pants and we found her some. While there we also found some stuff for the boys for Christmas including some old albums. Fun store.
Next up we had a nice lunch before heading home. The town was packed and lots of people were everywhere. We stopped at Whole Foods in Frisco and made it home around 5:30 or 6.
Today we have a few errands and are going to the gym. Then we’ll just be hanging around the house. We’re going to go and set up Dixie’s Christmas tree this afternoon and we bought her a small battery powered fireplace for her room. I’m sure she’ll love it. She’s more and more confused every day. Other than that, we’ll be hanging out probably putting up some of the Christmas stuff we bought yesterday around here.
That’s it, nice and sunny outside but they say cold. I’m ok with that except for the heating bill. Have a great weekend, God Bless.
This morning Lori and I are headed to the Christmas store in Denver and then stopping to see Ty before heading up the hill. We worked yesterday and went to the gym. Lots going on these days. I was thinking last night and I’m pretty much booked through December 17th as of right now.
Happy Veterans Day to all those that served! Thank a veteran today, you owe them your freedom!
Some great news at work as we have some great press coming out on us next week. More on this when the articles come out. For now, time to get moving. I’ll try to share more tomorrow when I have the time. God Bless.
Last night around 5pm it started. It was blowing and snowing most of the night. Not a lot on the pavement and only an inch or an inch and a half on the ground. Now it will be cold for a week or so. Today the house cleaners come but first up is the gym.
I think Ty is coming up tomorrow or maybe tonight. Jag has his Winter Formal in Crested Butte this weekend. Hope the roads are ok. It’s pretty outside right now. Lori is still kicking her cold. She’s getting better every day.
We might go to the Christmas store in Denver tomorrow, we’ll see. Lots of shortages starting to show up out there. I had to go to three gas stations while in Denver to find diesel, hmm.
Time to get after the driveway and clean off the car, God Bless.
This morning it’s over. No more election ads on tv, thank God. Looks like the GOP will take the house and the senate is too close to call. Shouldn’t have been that close. Good news is the election in 2 years will almost surely flip to Republican as Biden will have 2 more years of screwing things up. Luckily the Governors in Texas, Florida and Alabama won. Hope the girl in Arizona can pull it off. All big races. I’m just glad it’s over.
Lori works early today and has to be at the office at 7:30 as Dr. B is being filmed for something. My event in Denver went well. I’ll head out to the gym in a few. Maybe she can get off work early. Snow arrives late this afternoon and stops around midnight. Then the cold temps set in for a week or so.
Time to get moving. Make it a great day and God Bless.
I love my new computer, what a machine, wow! I made it to Denver and was standing outside the store with 20 of my new friends at 10am. I made a couple other stops and was home by 3.
I’m off today in 45 minutes again and should be home by 4 today. Lots going on so no time for anymore today. Lori is working in Edwards and should be home by 5. Then the fun begins, the election is finally over, whoo hoo!
Make it a great day and vote Republican! God Bless.
As Lori said yesterday, I fried my laptop. So this morning I’m off to Denver for a new one. Funny how dependent we are on our computers. Luckily I have all my stuff, or most of it, backed up on my phone and desk top. Still, it’s a pain.
I hope to be back around 2 at the latest. Not good timing as I’m back down tomorrow picking a guy up from the airport for a noon meeting at the distributor. So two days of driving down and up.
Yesterday we hung out around the house. We did go to the gym and Costco. Lori made ham and white bean soup with a ham bone we saved from a ham I bought. We brought Dixie up for a some lunch and a visit. She’s really getting confused these days. Sad. Boys are well, only a couple weeks until break and then a couple more until the semester is over.
Time to get moving. Hope everyone is well. Make it a great week and only one more day of endless election ads. I think most of us have tuned all of them out by now. We dropped our ballots off a few days ago. Too bad our tv doesn’t know that, ha.
Oh, we did get our tree up yesterday. We’ll decorate it when the boys come up in a couple weeks but thought we’d rearrange the living room and set it up to get that out of the way. Christmas will be here soon!
Good morning, at 5 AM Doug knocked a glass of water over on his computer, and that is why I’m doing the blog today.
Yay, only two more days until the election, thank goodness. Hopefully, we will not have to listen to any more ads.
Doug and I visited my mom yesterday, she seem to be doing OK as she knows who we are and is happy that we come to visit. Doug is her favorite, she always tells me what a good guy he is, and he is. I took old photo albums of the boys and Doug’s 50th birthday in Hawaii for her to look through. She’s looked through them a few times, but doesn’t recall looking through them, so it’s new each time. Today, I will try to bring her up for lunch or dinner.
There is a light dusting of snow this morning, we’ll need to bundle up to walk Harley. It’s not sticking, so the roads should be fine to get to the gym.
We may get some Christmas decorations out to decorate the stairs and mantle, the boys will do the tree with me on the 21st as that will be the only time they will be up here together before they are out for Christmas. That way we can enjoy the Christmas decorations longer.
We are off to the gym, miss everyone, love everyone have an amazing day! GB
Yesterday was a busy day. It started out with Lori and I working until about 1 when we finally headed down to Denver to meet the boys to go to the concert. We made it to Tommy’s to meet Jagger around 3:30 so Jag could leave his car there. Then we headed out around 4:15 to pick up Ty. We thought we’d pick up our tickets early, but they hadn’t brought them down at 5. So off to dinner we went.
We managed to get into a top steak house, but Lori and I ordered the salmon which was way over cooked. They gladly took it back but that meant Lori and I really didn’t eat. We made it back to the arena around 6:30 and were inside 15 minutes later. I went to Artist Relations at Will Call and picked up our tickets which were in the 9th row, seats 1 through 4. Funny as with Bocelli, the promoter row is also #9. Great seats, super appreciative.
The boys wanted some merch, (t-shirts and stuff) and so did Uncle Tommy so we picked a t-shirt up for him too. The show started promptly at 8 and we were literally less than 20 feet from Elton. For 2 1/2 hours he played a lot his greatest hits, along with some killer B-side cuts that was nothing short of incredible.
I know most of the guys in the band, not personally, but from listening to them for 50 years. Every musician is a star themselves. From Davey Johnstone on guitar to Ray Cooper on percussion to Nigel Olsson on drums, it was amazing. These guys are all icons and have been playing for over 50 years!
The boys absolutely loved it which made us super happy and the whole thing worth it. After the show we dropped Ty and headed to Tommy’s to drop Jagger at his car. Lori and I left there at 11pm and were home by 1.
So, epic doesn’t really do the evening justice. I’m sure the boys will remember this night, along with the Rolling Stones show, long after Lori and I are at the big show in the sky. We vowed as a family to find some more shows, even if we have to travel, and go see them.
Glad we’re home but it was a drive. Today we’ll hang around the house. It’s 9am now as we slept in a bit. Have a great weekend and live life! God Bless.
