Yesterday after a little over an hour delay, we took off for Denver. We landed right at 8:30pm and made it to the truck at 9pm. Two hours later, we were home. That’s a personal best for me, 2 hours from DIA parking to my driveway.
During the day we continued to clean up and organize Jag’s place. We walked around the neighborhood and went to a home goods store and then had some king crab for lunch. Lori texted Danielle who lives only 3 blocks from Jagger. She and her fiancĂ© Aaron are getting married sometime this summer. She’s Eleni, our close friend’s, niece and we met her in Vail as they also have a home in Aspen. They’re young, both probably around 28 and are introducing Jag to Aaron’s 24 year old younger brother. They said if Jagger needs anything, to just call, and also said they’d be calling to take him out. Danielle is super sweet. It’s a good connection for him.
Ty was up at 11pm when we made it home. He placed 38th in the Go Pro games which is amazing for his first race ever! The top 20 some guys are all pro athletes. We are blown away at how quickly he’s changed. He is on his way to being a professional athlete. If I had $10K laying around, I’d buy him a road bike so he can train for the triathlons he wants to register for down the road. Tommy, remember, you can gift each boy up to $14k a year and it’s a 100% write off! Ha. He has a half marathon coming up in Chicago in September. He’s off today as he works this weekend.
Lori is going in at 11am today so we can go to the gym. Here are some more pictures from dinner the other night plus more of Jag’s apartment and Ty’s run. Have a great day, good to be home! Too many people back there but the food sure is great and it’s a great city. God Bless.
